35 Fear the Black
Only traces of fear were left on North's secret hideout which turned out not to be such a secret anymore. Everyone was frightened, how were they found and what should they do now? And the worst part is that everyone doubts everyone. The mole had left a scar inside the lines who would be the only ones able to fight against the nightmarish troops of Pitch Black. Pitch Black who as well was a traitor like Rapunzel Corona.
Elsa walked past of people who were quietly whispering inside North's workshop. She was as well thought as filth in the crowd just because she was before the appreciated partner of Captain Frost. However it all changed that night a week ago when all the Captains were lured out from their hideout and turned into puppets of someone terrible.
It was like everyone was now afraid that Elsa's eyes might turn blacker than the abyss and she would attack before joining the rest of their most powerful allies, allies that left them. First two days had been a mess, people were planning on leaving the place but that was when Colonel Moon had stand out, saying that the enemy would've attacked and destroyed them all already. Then at least most of them remained and only some left but even the ones that stayed had a place for fear in their hearts now. And fear was the fuel for Pitch Black's creatures.
A guy with striking red hair and skinny tall body was searching around the main building. He had a yellow scarf around his neck, it was popping up from the green army uniform which he was wearing. While passing a mirror he paused and took couple steps back, he glanced at his reflection and grinned. His hands brushed over his red hair and he corrected the blue stripe of hair which hang over his forehead.
"Man you look great!" He whistled to the mirror as he began to make poses. His dark brown eyes were sparkling while he stared at himself.
He didn't notice the girl who was carefully analyzing the whole situation. Elsa had never seen that guy before and now he was there, staring at himself in the mirror and speaking like he was full of himself. Maybe it's another mole? She thought as she peeked from behind the corner to the hallway.
"He is wearing a uniform," Elsa whispered to herself.
"HEY! What's up!" Hiccup cheered and patted Elsa's back. It made her jump forward and now she faced the stranger.
"Hiccup!" Elsa groaned.
"Oh! Would you two help me out?" The redhaired guy asked after correcting his composure.
"Didn't see you there. How could I help you...mr... Fa?" Hiccup questioned while he narrowed his eyes to read the nametag on the unfamiliar persons chest. Now he knew why Elsa was looking like she was sneaking around.
"I'm looking for a soldier named Arendelle, Elsa. Colonel Moon asked to see her," he grinned.
"I'm Elsa," Elsa mumbled and she flinched when the guy grinned creepily.
"Okay! Goodie then. Let's get going!" He laughed and took Elsa's hand.
Hiccup was standing on his place in confusion. "What was up with that scarf anyway," he mumbled after Elsa and the guy vanished into outdoors.
Elsa was being led towards the portable command center and in the middle of the way she pulled her hand free.
"Who are you anyway!" Elsa demanded.
"Oh, excuse me for not introducing myself sooner," the guy gasped and turned around to face the fierce looking girl.
"I am the powerful, the pleasurable, the indestructible Mushu," he said in overdone manner, leaving Elsa to stare at him in misbelieve before bursting into laughter.
"Haha, laugh all that you want but we better get to Colonel before he gets mad," Mushu muttered and started pacing grumpily towards the command centre.
He opened up the door for Elsa, letting her in and then closing the door after them. Mushu headed to stand right next to Colonel Moon with his arms bended behind his back.
Elsa swallowed the lumpy feeling from her throat before moving forward. Colonel Moon had nearly same eyes as Jack did which made her feel a bit uncomfortable. He still was the older version of his son.
"You wanted to see me sir?" Elsa managed to say aloud and Colonel Moon nodded his head and got up from his chair.
"Yes, I assume that Fa Mushu introduced himself to you," Colonel grinned while nodding towards the guy with the weirdest hairstyle Elsa had ever seen.
"He did," Elsa admitted and glanced at the slender looking man.
"I also think that he didn't mention what's his position in all of this? In my army," Colonel chuckled.
"No.. but sir, if I may say, we don't have time for this. We should be out there to get Captains back," Elsa said boldly with her voice cracking. For days the only thing she could think of was how to get their mentors back.
"Oh, we do have time... Tell her Mushu," Colonel smiled.
"Yes sir. I'm from special intelligence officer unit and we have some information," Mushu wiggled his eyebrows as he sat on Colonel Moon's seat.
Mushu took a snowglobe from the table and he watched how it was snowing inside. His feet were over each other on the table and Colonel Moon went to stand next to Elsa.
"We're waiting Mushu," Colonel Moon coughed.
"Ah, yeah. As I told you before big shot, the troops of Pitch are gathering into a town called Pride Rock. And we saw how the Captain's rode their ponies into there as well," Mushu laughed.
"Ja—I mean Captain Frost as well?" Elsa asked a little bit too curiously which made Mushu frown.
"I just said that Captain's are there," Mushu muttered and sounded insulted.
"Elsa--," Colonel Moon spoke as he placed his hand on her shoulder, "—I know that you're grown fond of your Captain and partner—and he is attached to you which is why I summoned you here."
Colonel Moon's words made Elsa shiver. His hand was radiating cold like Jack's.
"You see, I have a new plan – I didn't realize that the mole would give herself out so fast and take actions like that but... I think it is time for counter attack. Before everything is too late—that's why I need you, your Highness," Colonel Moon stared into Elsa's eyes.
"Highness?" Mushu repeated in high pitched voice but was ignored by the two.
"What could I do? If his still unknown troops are there... How could I go against them all?" Elsa said in misbelieve and looks down at her feet.
"You love my son, don't you?" Colonel Moon questioned. His way of bringing it up made Elsa turn red.
"N-no. You are imagining things sir, I'm just his partner on battle field," Elsa laughed.
"Pfft... spending nights under same blanket," Mushu laughed mockingly.
"Shut up Mushu!" Colonel Moon roared and made Elsa back up couple steps. At least now she knows where Jack got that raging storm inside him -- right after his father apparently.
"And Elsa, stop denying. I won't give this information away since it would result in bad terms for my son to be interfering with a soldier. However you might get close to him at Pride Rock, get him back to his senses since I believe he loves you too. Your center is love and centers bring down fears," Colonel Moon's voice was nearly desperate and Elsa's heart was nearly crumbling.
"Y-you are sending me there?" Elsa whispered.
"Yes. Your mission is to bring back Codename Fun. Your Codename is Love which the enemy has not seen ever before... Fun can then bring back Hope, Memories and Wonder to us. Before that I don't dare to attack, we cannot lose them, don't you agree?" Colonel Moon spoke like a military commander would. With might and security in his voice.
"Yes sir," Elsa nodded her head.
"Alright, let's get going then," Mushu said and stretched on the seat.
"What do we do first?" Elsa said on the door while turning around.
"Blend in ofcourse. Get that army costume off!" Mushu laughed and pushed her out from the door.
They left and Colonel Moon was left alone when the door shut. Slowly he went to sit behind his table and he opened up a drawer. Then he took out a picture frame which he placed in front of him on the table. He stared at the picture where his both sons were sitting on his each shoulder, laughing. A faint smile formed on his face as tears rolled down, his wife was holding their newborn daughter. That day was something magical but it seems like darkness was just waiting behind them, to ruin it all.
"Finally I have you here, Frost," Pitch whispered as he stepped inside the room where Rapunzel had brought the young Captain.
The dark didn't bother Pitch, he saw Jack sitting on the couch which he carefully approached. It took him a while to get in here, to see that his plan had worked.
Pitch went to sit next to Captain Frost. "Well, how have you been?" Pitch laughed as he lifted his other feet over the other.
There was a silence between the two and Pitch sighed. "Oh yeah, my bad. I forgot, you're sort of... mind controlled, right?" He chuckled and poked Jack's shoulder. "Answer!" he then roared.
"Yes master," Jack spoke without any emotion in his voice.
"Now get up and change that black outfit to something more casual. Those army gears are freaking me out," Pitch waved towards the pile of clothes folded on a chair.
He carefully watched how Jack changed his combat gear into set of brown pants and a blue hoodie. A sly devious grin spread on Pitch's face while he stared at the young Captain. "Yeah, we're certainly going to have fun like I once told you... together we could make a great team. I mean, what goes better together than cold and darkness?" Pitch laughed to his own idea.
Once Jack had denied but now, now he can't. Bringing destruction will be like a child's play now.
Rapunzel was on the other side of the building that was located in the center of the town called Pride Rock. On a rock which the town had been named after was an abandoned house. Well, not so abandoned anymore since the troops of Pitch had taken it over without anyone in the town realizing what was happening in their precious holy rock that was rising high from the ground.
She headed to look at the corridor when she heard steps coming to her direction. A smile spread to her face when she saw a familiar sight. Her eyes carefully followed the Captain's who were heading forward on the corridor. Captain Toothiana, Captain North and Captain Bunnymund.
