31 Strange Days

POV Hiro

On Sunday I got a call from Captain North, he told me to stay at home until I'm called back to duty. It seems like something bad happened at the base. Luckily no one got hurt judging from what I heard from him but still I'm worried.

"Let's go back home pal, even though aunt is preaching again," I smile to Baymax faintly. He had just been making friends with a cat. Gently I pull his leash a bit and he starts to follow me.

I walk down the hill street, the trees are covered in snow. Couple months from now the spring would come and the trees would blossom, pink cherry blossom will decorate the streets all around San Fransoskyo.

I go inside the door, the bell rings and I glance at the statue of happiness. It's waving it's paw and greeting people who get inside, the smile of it was always ironic to me. To an orphan who later on even lost his big brother.

"Hiro! You were out late," aunts worried voice called. She was serving her last customers at Lucky Cat Cafe.

Like the cat at the door does I raised my hand to her as response before I head to back of the café and up the stairs. Immediately I sat behind my computer and I check my messages.

Some of my friends want to meet up but I reply them that I can't tonight. Aunt wants some time with me, probably she tries to make me to quit in the army like she has been doing for a while.

There was nothing interesting going on so I went to lay on my bed. Baymax jumped next to me and began to lick my arm. It tickled and made me laugh.

"Stop,"I begged the dog but it continued and the curled against my side. I rubbed its back and I reach to take out my phone.

Immediately my phone starts to ring and I see that the caller is GoGo.

"Yup?" I replied to the phone.

"Hiro, go immediately to your computer. I sent you a video message, this is really bad thing," GoGo panted out. She was practically whispering and I had trouble at hearing her.

"What is wrong?" I asked when I got up.

She didn't have to tell me more because when I opened up the video file she sent, I knew. Black sand was moving around San Fransoskyo, the nightmares that Pitch Black had created.

"We should call Captain North," I gulped while I watched.

"Could you do it? I'm following them," GoGo said quietly.

"GoGo, following those black things is not wise," I scolded her.

"Dinner is ready!" Aunt shouted.

"I'm coming a bit later! On phone!" I shouted and covered the speaker.

"But I need to know what they are doing here," GoGo hissed.

"Alright. I'll call Captain North but keep me updated on where you are. I'm coming with you," I insisted.

"No Hiro. I think that they are closing their destination... You know the abandoned army research facility?" GoGo whispered.

"Yeah. Are they going there?" I mumbled.

"Yes, they went inside the building. I'm going to wait outside but if they don't come out soon... then I'm going to check it out... alone!" GoGo demanded and I sighed.

"Okay but be careful," I whispered.

GoGo and I ended the call and I dialed Captain Norths phone number. They told us to observe and not engage. I just hope that GoGo won't get into trouble.

I went to dinner with aunt. She was chatting casually but when she got bored into my lack of will to have a conversation she began chanting about how wrong it is to be in the army. I just thanked her for the dinner and I went back upstairs.

Gladly about hour later GoGo called and she was alright. The nightmares had taken some equipment out from there, some big looking devices and a pc unit. Then they had just vanished to the sky with the things.

"I just wonder why they took some old things," GoGo sighed.

"Yeah me too," I muttered.

"Can I come over? Maybe we can hack into old files and find out what they had in that army base?" GoGo cheered.

"Of course so see you in about 30 minutes?" I laughed.

"Nah,make it 15. I'm fast as you know," she replied laughing. Again she was full of confidence.

Now I'm just left to wait until she gets here and we can start our research. It's the least we can do while we're forced to stay out from the base and others for our own and everyone else's safety.

POV Elsa

My hand is still resting on my cheek. He left almost half an hour ago but I still feel his hand stroking over my cheek just before the moment when he kissed the same place gently. I had stared at him from my bed this morning while he was changing his clothes and getting ready, he pulled a blue hoodie on and glanced at me over his shoulder. His devious smile made me flush, he had known that I was staring at him the whole time.

Slowly I got up from the bed and I walk to my balcony. Fresh air feels good but I had something else in mind when I walk to the edge and look down to palace garden. Snow was covering most of the garden, there were paths which were cleared from snow. The trees had ice crystals hanging from the branches.

My eyes wander around until I saw him running from the back of the castle. I bit my bottom lip when he ran to a little bridge which was going over a small stream that is working even on winter because of the solidly streaming water. He paused on the bridge and leans to the railing, watching down at the water.

Today I would go to a tour around the town, to see how my people are doing. However keeping my mind focused has been a bit troublesome for couple of days, he said this certain thing. It was only for once but I still remember how honest he was and how his voice sounded when he confessed his love to me.

Jack began running again, he had earplugs and he was listening to something. Quickly I rushed back inside my room and I changed my clothes, he was heading back inside the castle and I'm trying to hurry and meet up with him casually in the staircase or something. Graciously and elegantly.

"This is not elegant," I gulped when I had accidentally done an ice dress which was on me with wrong side in the front. Quickly I changed it and I rushed to the corridor.

I had no time to do my hair, I just quickly combed it and it was now flowing over my shoulders naturally.

My feet took me down the stairs fast but I didn't bump into him. Then I went to the entry hall but he wasn't there either.

"Where is he," I muttered as I look around. I even went to out from the doors and I didn't see him in the garden. The guards shut the doors behind me.

"Majesty, your sister is already having breakfast. Would you care to join?" One of the maids asked.

"Actually I'm looking for someone," I sighed. I saw some wet footprints which some cleaning ladies were wiping away.

"Your bodyguard?" The maid giggled.

"Yes, him. Have you seen him?" I insisted and I crossed my arms.

"Well I guess you could manage yourself at breakfast without him," the maid smiled innocently.

"Why? Where is he?" I raised my voice.

"My majesty, I thought that you asked your advisers to take him into negotiations room. At least they were searching for him and I told him to meet them there," the maid said in apologizing manner.

"Thank you," I cheered while I was already heading towards the negotiations room.

Once I got into small waiting room which was leading to negotiations room I paused for a moment. My heart is beating fast, I want him to join us with breakfast this morning. I just can't wait to show everyone how close we are.

I bit my bottom lip when I pressed the handle of the door down.

"No I'm not a prince or a noble but what the heck do you care?" Jack laughed sarcastically and I paused to listen.

"Mr Overland, you're all over the newspapers in Arendelle, your relationship with Queen Elsa of Arendelle--," highest adviser spoke. I press my back against the wall while I listen from the gap. Why is he in here?

"What fucking relationship?" Jack snapped angrily and I flinched.

"It's stated that she has gone into romantic relationship with you, you've been seen together--," castle's only female adviser stated.

"Ha, of course she has been seen with her bodyguard. Are you people some idiots?" Jack laughed and I heard him apparently slamming his hands against the table.

"Yes but you kissed her publicly last Christmas, since then people have been.... observing when you two have arrived to Arendelle together," the adviser woman nearly purred out from satisfaction she got for proving that she was onto something. My cheeks were warming up.

"It was Christmas, ever heard of mistletoes?" Jack murmured.

"Please sit down Mr Overland. We still have some questions, as our Majesty's bodyguard you should realize the importance of this small questioning," higher adviser spoke.

"Fine, throw it away," Jack sighed.

"Is your name truly Jackson Overland? Son of James Moon and Sarah Overland, brother of Shawn and deceased Emma?" higher adviser was apparently reading the stuff from documents.

"Yeah, that's me. Now what?" Jack clicked his tongue.

"Are you or are you not an expert in military?" the woman asked.

"Mh.. hand to hand combat, melee weapons, sniper... you name it," Jack sighed.

"And you possess powers of ice and snow?" Their voices were now curious and Jack replied with simple 'yes'.

"Now some things that the Queen ordered us to find out," the woman chirped. The words made me shiver, I have not ordered this.

"What kind of feelings you have towards our Queen?" The woman asked.

"I'm fond of her if that's what you wanted to know. Speaking of which she must be waiting for her bodyguard, you're keeping me occupied," Jack hissed.

"Before you go--," the woman said and I began opening up the door. I did not order this kind of interview towards him.

"Give us a sample in that cup you're holding. Judging from the information that we have, she considers you as possible heir giver to kingdom," the woman spoke.

" She wants me to? " Jack gasped.

"We need to analyze your so called seed because we have no proper information of your family lines," the woman smiled at Jack. He was holding a small white cup and staring at it in shock. They stood on each sides of the room.

The heavy doors slammed shut behind me and they noticed me.

"Your Majesty," the advisers bowed but I was quivering. Jack's angry eyes were locked into me.

"YOU want me to jerk into a freaking CUP?!? No fucking way!" Jack shouted and crushed the cup in his hands. He threw it at my feet.

"Now excuse me... fucking royal asses," Jack hissed while he was heading towards the door.

"Stop!" I ordered in panic.

"Try and stop me," Jack snapped. The advisers were shocked from the turn of events, they had not been expecting me from the looks of it.

Without further saying I froze Jack to the ground from his feet.

"Undo this," Jack groaned.

"Leave us," I turn to face the advisers who quickly sneaked out from the door behind us. Then I went to lock it before unfreezing Jack's feet.

"Jack, I asked none of this," I whispered to his turned back. He was clenching his fists and after that we were silent.

Then he laughed blankly and turned around sharply. His eyes were strict as he approached me, I nearly took one step back because his presence was threatening.

"Jack, calm down," I gulped but he came straight to me and grabbed to my wrists painfully.

"They want to know if I can get you pregnant... is that it?" He hissed and began dragging me.

He threw me my back against a chestnut wooden table. Then he pushed me to lay down and forced my legs apart, then he stood between my feet. We both were breathing heavily and he was now pulling my dress up.

"If I take you now, you'll get a nice little bump. That's what you want, huh?" He grinned deviously and rubbed my stomach.

"W-what are you saying," I gulped and then I flinched. He pressed down onto me and his teeth were nipping my neck.

"I'm saying, your Majesty... that if I take you now, you'll end up carrying my child. Is that what you want? Your freaking body is begging me to enter, your mind wants it too... can't you feel it? I can..." He whispered into my ear.

My heart was pounding, his roughness was frightening me a bit but I wrapped my arms around his neck. That made him laugh and pull himself away.

"As I said, you want it too. You see, I know that now your body would be ready but... let's wait for a little longer," he smiled slyly and patted my cheeks.

"Huh?" I groaned which made him laugh harder.

"Geez, I just wanted to act because of those annoying advisers. Are you stupid Arendelle? But still... I won't use a freaking cup if I have you," he grinned and glanced boldly at my body. I sat on the table, desperately pulling down the hem of my dress.

"W-would you come for breakfast with us? Sit on the same table?" I gulped.

"Sure, let me take a shower first and... you could do some pretty girly hairdo while waiting... now you look a little like you've spent a wild night," he chuckled and touched my hair.

"As you wish," I smiled to him shyly. It made him let go of my hair and clear his throat, his cheeks were catching color.

Making myself appear at town has been a habit since I got out from my hiding. The horse carriage just stopped and I climbed out from it. I glanced at Jack quickly, he had opened up the carriage door for me. He was back to wearing the Arendelle uniform.

"Look it's Elsa!" People cheered and were waving at me. I smile and wave my hand.

I began walking around the crowd, meeting people. Jack was following right after me.

"Your Majesty, we have missed you," a little girl spoke and I crouch down.

"I missed everyone too," I whispered and I gave her a smile. I wave my hand in the air and a line of ice trees rises to follow the road.

"It would be an honor if you visited my teashop today," a friendly woman said. She holds this small little shop just down the street.

"Of course I will!" I laughed and I was about to get up. Then I saw Jack offering me his hand, his face was emotionless but in his eyes were playful sparkles. I smiled to him when I took his hand and he helped me up.

"Is that the one?" People began whispering.

I straightened my dresses fabric and then I began heading down the street. People were back to doing their businesses but some were still standing in the sides of the streets and watching while I passed them.

"Could I get your signature!" A girl squealed behind me and I turn around.

She was a teenager, about the age of 15. She was wearing jeans and a long petrol blue winter coat, her dark brown hair was hanging open on her shoulders. Now she was offering an old looking newspaper and a pen to Jack with innocent wide smile on her face.

"Please?" She pleaded.

"What is the fuzz about?" I laughed when I turn around fully and walk to them. The girl bowed to me right after Jack had taken the paper.

His face was red while he was looking at the middle pages. "You want me to sign here?" He mumbled and sounded embarrassed and I go next to him.

"Yes! To Laura please," the girl giggled and threw her hair behind her neck.

Jack inhaled and began signing the page. Now I saw what there was, it was a collage of him. Some pictures had been taken when he was alone but some were taken with me.

'Who is the mysterious man? Will he teach new kind of love to our Majesty.'

My eyes widened when I read the headline.

"Jack? Your name is Jack?" The girl chirped when she got the paper back from Jack.

"Mmh... yeah, now excuse me I have--," Jack replied but the girl raised to her toes and kissed his cheek.

"Eeh! You feel cold," the girl exhaled and touched her lips afterwards.

"W-well that was.. uh," I gulped.

"Don't worry your Highness, no one will take him from you. Everyone is just anticipating if your wedding is before Princess Annas. And I surely can't wait the news about royal baby!" The girl squealed.

"What?" I gasped. The girl just laughed and winked her eye before leaving.

"L-Let's continue," I whispered. He didn't say anything and I was getting worried if he got mad about this kind of attention.

I paused in front of a flower store. "Wait here," I told to Jack when I went in.

It felt good to get away from him for a moment. I'm just not so sure if he wants a serious relationship after all.

"Ah, how may I help you?" The clerk said in excitement.

"I want some white flowers for tomorrow tonight, there will be a dinner served in the castle for some of our associates," I told him.

"Well, then I know just the right flowers like this one, " he smiled and took out a white rose. The flower part was nearly as big as my own fist. I sniffed it.

"The smell is beautiful!" I cheered and he nodded his head.

"Yes, I'll use these and some other ones to make something pretty and sparkling,"he grinned and I approved his suggestion.

I left from the store and Jack was still standing at guard. "Jack I think we're--," I began but then I screamed.

Something wet, round and white had just flow towards me. It smacked against my feet, quickly I got down the few steps and I look around.

"What was that?" I whispered. Jack just grinned.

"Jack?" I questioned.

Then another flew towards me and hit to my stomach, now there were more coming at me.

"Snowball fight?" I gasped and now he was laughing.

I protected myself from the snowballs with my hands, there were few giggling boys from Arendelle who were throwing their ammo at me.

"Once I get my hands on you!" I laughed aloud but I couldn't do anything. There was just too many of them.

I threw some snow at them but I didn't hit. "Help me Jack! You're my bodyguard," I groaned while I was taking hits.

"Nah," he chuckled.

I was about to snap a response to him, something smart, when one snowball hit me on my face. I began coughing snow out from my mouth.

"Enough!" Jack shouted and then I wiped the snow out from my eyes. He cut couple of the snowballs with his sword before the kids quit throwing them.

"Did it hurt?" He asked quickly and turned around. He was now wiping the rest of the snow off from my face.

"Nope," I laughed and smiled to him innocently.

"I would really like to start my date with you right now," he whispered and leaned closer. Before I could say anything he was kissing me. My back was pressing against the window of the flower store. My arms went over his shoulders and I kissed him back, our eyes were closed but still I noticed how something flashed near us.

"A-are you sure? Now...now my people know about you, us," I mumbled after the kiss.

"Well just make sure that the news wont spread outside of Arendelle," he chuckled and patted my cheek.

"Umm... so about the date?" I whispered and gave him a smile.

"Oh yeah, let's walk," he shrugged and took my hand in his. We were walking side by side on the street now, people were whispering when they saw us.

We said nothing to each other and soon we were at the harbor. I sighed because it feels like the things he does are something that he really doesn't want to do. Why does he take me on a date if he is just quiet?

"So I did a little research," he said seriously. His voice was quiet.

"Like what?" I muttered.

"There's a small market near here... right?" He mumbled. I nodded my head and I glance at the sea. It's still unfrozen like it should be all year around. However I froze it a while back, gladly everything turned all right.

Jack began heading towards the market area and he was still holding my hand. We went to a booth and he got me a mug full of hot chocolate.

I sipped the hot drink few times while we were walking around. There were people selling different kind of goods, mostly something that was handmade.

"I'm really bad at this... boyfriend stuff but I'll try for you," Jack sighed and glanced at me.

"Well I have no experience of boyfriends so you're doing wonderfully in my opinion," I said and my words ended up with laughter. The way I laughed made my cheeks warm up, it was weird sounding coming from me. I was like a girl giggling to her first crush but... in fact this is how things are. I am a woman, in love with a man and everything is new.

"Good. Just remember, when we're back in military you keep your mouth shut about this," he muttered.

"I do," I grinned.

Then he paused in front of a stand. "Wait a moment," he smiled and went to speak with the seller.

Short while later he came back holding a small bag. Then he handed it over to me.

"Look inside," he said quietly.

Slowly I opened it up and then I turned the bag upside down above my hand. There was something small in the inside, the bag felt really light.

"A hairpin?" I smiled and look at the sparkling hairpin. It was crystal blue.

"Yup," Jack said and popped the p. Then he took the pin from my hand and put it in my hair. I noticed that he used his powers while doing it.

"Just a little snowflake as a finishing touch," he grinned when I touched the pin. It was now keeping my hair away from my forehead.

"Thank you," I exhaled.

"Can I play a song to you? I still.... have some trouble telling you how I feel," he muttered awkwardly.

"Sure," I nodded my head. He took my hand and guided me to sit on the edge of frozen fountain in middle of the market area.

People began gathering near us when he started to use his powers. From nothing he created an ice piano, the sunrays were reflecting through the crystal like structure beautifully. Everyone was stunned by the beauty of it.

Jack held the swords handle when he sat down in front of the piano. Then he began tapping the keys of the piano with his fingers. He ignored the fact that people were watching, his eyes were just looking at me.

"I remember what you wore on our first day

You came into my life

And I thought hey

You know this could be something

'Cause everything you do and words you say

You know that it all takes my breath away

And now I'm left with nothing

So maybe it's true, that I can't live without you

And maybe two is better than one

But there's so much time, to figure out the rest of my life

And you've already got me coming undone

And I'm thinking two, is better than one

I remember every look upon your face,

The way you roll your eyes, the way you taste

You make it hard for breathing

'Cause when I close my eyes and drift away

I think of you and everything's okay

And finally now, believing

And maybe it's true, that I can't live without you

Well maybe two is better than one

But there's so much time, to figure out the rest of my life

And you've already got me coming undone

And I'm thinking two, is better than one

Yeah, yeah

I remember what you wore on our first day

You came into my life

And I thought hey

Maybe it's true, that I can't live without you

Maybe two is better than one

But there's so much time, to figure out the rest of my life

And you've already got me coming undone

And I'm thinking

Oooh I can't live without you

'Cause baby two is better than one

There's so much time, to figure out the rest of my life

And I've figured out with all that's said and done

Two, is better than one

Two is better than one."

I listened his singing which was gorgeous like always. I remembered how we first encountered, how I bumped into him and he watched me in frightful way and commented the way I dress. Now he is here, singing to me and looking at me like I mean everything to him.
