27 Black as Fear

POV Elsa

Apparently the Sleigh belongs to Captain North. He flew us into 5 hours distance from the base in the middle of the night. Our dogs kept whimpering inside their cages, they were not used to the situation. I kept on glancing towards Captain Frost, he was sitting with other Captains on the opposite side of the plane.

The seats were going on the walls of the plane. Captain Frost kept on petting his dog Staff, his dog was not afraid of flying and the loud noises. None of the other Captain's had dogs. At some point he noticed my staring, his ice blue eyes nearly pierced my consciousness when his intimidating stare was meeting my gaze. Then he just simply turned his head away.

"Alright! About to land so hold onto something!" Captain North spoke through radio. Hiccup was with him as the co-pilot.

"Ay, I hate flying," Captain Bunnymund groaned and closed his eyes.

"I guess he feels bad," Eugene mumbled close to my ear. He had forgotten that everyone was wearing a helmet with microphones.

"Yeah, so beware soldier... he had carrots before leaving," Captain Frost's annoyed voice spoke through the headphones. We look at his direction and he was now staring at us, his eyes were narrowed in a way that his face was scarily shadowed.

"Jack, calm down," Toothiana muttered.

It was like something was pulling the insides of my stomach. The plane began landing in sharp angle, this was nothing like the flying that I had been experiencing with Captain Frost. My hands grasp to the safety belts and I inhale deeply. This is one bumpy ride.

"If I survive from this, remind me to take Rapunzel out," Eugene gulped and I took his hand in mine. It was rather stormy night.

"Awww that's so sweet!" Captain Toothiana cheered.

"Heck I'm taking out if we survive!" Bunnymund gulped once the oxygen masks dropped down. The beeping got loud inside the plane. Every warning light was on.

"North," Captain Frost called simply. His voice didn't hesitate.

"Get out Frost. We need support," Captain North sounded like he was panicking. I watch how Captain Frost gets up from his seat, he buckles up his dog. While doing this, he doesn't stumble.

"By my calculations we will crash in less than two minutes," Hiro whispered with his hitching breath.

"That's what you've been doing!" Eugene shouted.

"Open up the hatch," Captain Frost said. He had gone to the rear of the plane. My eyes widened when the hatch opened. Then he just simply walked forward, suddenly the airwave sucked him out from the plane. And they closed the hatch.

"WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING!" I shouted.

"Just calm down fucking scaredy cat," Captain Frost groaned. "I'm working with the storm," he then continued.

"Thanks Frost," Captain North sighed. The shaking of the plane ended. I guess he is out there controlling the wind and snow.

The wheels of the plane hit the ground and everyone hoorayed. "Thank the heavens," Captain Bunnymund gulped.

Everyone got out and then we saw him. He stood outside the plane, the snow storm was raging outside but... we were inside this sphere, where storm couldn't reach. There was no wind, no snowing. And in middle of this all Captain Frost stood with his hands inside his pockets.

Captain Toothiana brought Captain Frost his dog, gun and equipment. I glance at Hiro and then we got our dogs, Olaf and Baymax, out from their cages. After getting our weapons and bags we insecurily approach Captain Frost.

We split into groups fast. Captain Bunnymund kept complaining on and on about the plan to circle all around the target. He kept on mumbling how last time ended badly. But no one listened.

The snow was crunching beneath my feet while we were walking in the middle of the forest. Hiro and I walked side by side, our white dogs nearly disappeared in the white snow that was sparkling in the light of the moon. Captain Frost was ahead of us with his dog Staff, it was sniffing out some tracks.

"How much further Captain?" I questioned after the long silence.

He turned around sharply, it made both me and Hiro froze still from horror.

"Don't note to me as Captain while we're on this mission. Do you fucking want me dead?" He hissed angrily.

"N-no sir!" Both Hiro and I replied in unison. Captain Frost face palmed and sighed loudly while beginning to walk again.

"Idiots. Don't call me sir either... Just Frost or Jack," he mumbled.

"Sorry Frost," Hiro said quietly. His dog licked his hand and he quickly rubbed its head before we began following Captain again.

"Hamada. Hide yourself into here, dig a hole or something into the snow. Use the computer you were given and the program, alert us if hostiles approach our location. Arendelle, follow me," Captain ordered.

"Good luck," Hiro whispered and I waved my hand to him. He was shoveling the snow, Baymax was digging a hole with him with its paws. I hurry after Captain. Now it's just the two of us.

"I think this is a good spot," he whispered and began stomping the snow down to create a place to lay down. Through the trees we could see a cottage with lights on.

"Jack," I gulped and he glanced at me. Then he approached me quickly, reached to my helmet and then his. He just turned the microphones down.

"I guess this is something that others shouldn't hear," he mumbled and narrowed his eyes. He had just seen right through me and his behavior was making me shaky.

"J-just... what were you going to say yesterday? B-before the phone call," I gasped and my cheeks flushed.

He just rolled his eyes, "Will you take your pants off... But we can continue that later. Now we're dealing with an enemy Elsa, really dangerous one. Just keep watching my back and warn me if something happens." His words were angry.

"I didn't mean to get you mad at me," I snapped back without thinking. "You are such a jerk! What wrong did I ever do to you!" I raised my voice. Quickly he muffled my voice with his hand, I was barely able to breathe.

"Calm down, we are not in your kingdom now. Raising your voice just gets us into deep shit as well as others," he muttered close to my ear. "Are you calm now?" He whispered. Slowly I nodded my head and he let go.

I wiped away couple tears before he could notice. Meanwhile he laid down into the snow and began aiming his rifle towards the house.

"I'm not mad at you, I'm mad to everything," he said quietly and made me flinch. "Turn on your microphone," he then huffed and I did as he told. Both of us but our microphones back to work.

"Jack here, we're on our position," he spoke through the microphone. I heard his voice from the speakers inside my helmet.

"Hiro is ready," Hiro said quickly.

"The Sleigh is ready to go whenever you are, Hiccup and I are making sure it's safe," Captain North replied.

"Our rat is ready to deliver the cheese," Captain Toothiana whispered.

"I'm not a rat!" Eugene groaned.

"It's your code name mate," Captain Bunnymund sighed.

"Route is clear. Sent the rat in," Jack ordered while looking through his rifle. All this time he kept on aiming towards the house.

Captains Bunnymund and Toothiana were on the other side of the house, waiting. I used goggles and saw how Eugene's shadow moved closer to the house. Captain Sandy had some individual mission going on, no one was told what.

Something moved and I saw someone jumping out from the window when Eugene got in from one. This shadow was now waiting for Eugene at his window.

"Cheese is in place. Soon kaboom," Eugene whispered.

"Wait rat. Jack, there's someone at his window," I spoke quickly.

It took just couple seconds for Jack to change his aim, he shot that person to head. Soon it fell.

"Get out now!" I ordered Eugene and then I saw him getting out.

And then, the explosion came. Jack grasped to my arm and pulled me down. Snow was flying everywhere as well as branches from trees. All this time I was safely half under his body in an embrace, his hand was hovering above my face.

"Are you okay?" Jack asked, ignoring the fact that everyone could hear us.

"Yeah," I exhaled.

"Mission accomplished. The nightmare sand factory is destroyed," Captain Bunnymund spoke.

"Guys," Hiro's frightened voice could be heard. Our dogs began growling angrily towards the house. The exploded snow was gently flying down and we stared at the place where the cabin had been.

"There's something," Jack wondered aloud while narrowing his eyes.

"Guys," Hiro called again.

"What?" I questioned and tried to look where Jack was looking at.

"AGH! We're CHASED!" Captain Bunnymund shouted.

"Say that again?" Jack gulped.

"SOME WEIRD FREAKING SET OF BLACK ONE DIRECTION BOY BAND CHARACTERS IS CHASING US!" Eugene cried. We could hear them running through the woods.

"Chased by what?" Jack raised his voice. He was so focused on speaking with them that he didn't see the large amount of black substance approaching us. The dogs kept on barking and growling at it.

"GUYS!" Hiro shouted and sounded angry.

"A band that's trying to kill us," Captain Toothiana panted out.

"My worst nightmare! AAGH!" Eugene yelled. Then we hear a loud crack and lost their voices.

"J-Jack," I whispered and pushed his shoulder. He glanced at me and I pointed at the cabins old place.

"Shit. Hiro! Nightmare sand is active, we're coming back," Jack yelled and gathered his things. We got up and began running.

"That's what I tried to tell you guys," Hiro sighed.

Then some of the sand got in front of us. It flickered for a while until it took shape. I grasped onto Jacks arm and I look behind us. More of it is approaching fast. This substance was hurting him before so we need to run.

"Jack we need to move," I begged but he had frozen still. He stared at the figure and then I realized why.

"That's not her! It's not your sister Jack! We need to go, please. Before they kill us," I said and pulled his arm. However he didn't move.

"E-Emma... I'm so sorry," Jack whispered with pain in his voice. He was giving his hand to that creature and I tried everything to get him back to his senses.

The dogs however acted. Staff attacked at the black sand figure with Olaf. They were tearing it down and then Jack inhaled deeply and looked at me.

"I need to get you out," he mumbled and took my hand. Now we were running again.

"Get ready Hiro," I yelled when we were getting closer to his location. Our dogs were now running right behind us.

"Oh my god," Hiro gasped when we got to him.

"What?" Jack groaned.

"My worst fear. Harry Potter, t-that magic dude from books," Hiro yelped and we turn around. Both Jack and I startled when a gigantic Harry Potter stood behind us. The sand had now reached us.

"Take her away," Jack mumbled and threw me back. The Harry Potter took one step forward but then Jack started hitting sparks out, well they seemed like it but they were really ice crystals.

I saw how he froze that figure but it kept on trying to move. The force of the sand was pushing him down, first to his one knee. Hiro kept on dragging me away.

"Hiro, we just can't leave him," I said quickly.

"I said--- ngh... GO! I'll be right behind you," Jack shouted through the headset.

"Fine," I said angrily and turned around. We took couple running steps and then, then the sound of loud crack banged in the air. It made me turn around. The ice he created had exploded, making him fall after being hit to head with block of ice. He would've died without the helmet.

"WE CAN'T LEAVE HIM!" I screamed.

"What is going on? We are losing communications with everyone. Bunnymund and Toothiana just came back with Eugene," Hiccup gulped. He had broken the radio silence between the ones on the field and on the plane.

I struggled free from Hiro's hold and I was running towards Jack. A cloud of black sand was going to get him unless I do something.

"I'm not afraid," I shouted, "- NOT ANYMORE!"

I was standing between Jack and the black sand. I stomped my foot on the ground, then I spread my hands to my sides and I watched. I watched how a clear, thick see-through wall was rising between us and the threat. It was taking most of my strength but I can't give up, all my life I was afraid that what I could do would be harmful for others but no, it's meant to protect.

"Elsa!" Hiro yelped. He ran to me, stared at the ice wall that was rising towards the night sky. I look at him behind me, our dogs are surrounding Jack as if to protect him.

"This is my ability yeah but now we need to get him out from here," I said nodding towards unconscious Jack. Hiro went to pick him up and I look back at the ice wall. The sand is trying to break through, searching some weak spot.

Then I stopped, I went to help out Hiro and then we were dragging Jack away from the danger.

"No one is left behind, right?" I smiled to Hiro. We heard the echoing beating that my ice wall was taking.

"Yeah but... you have same power as he does?" Hiro whispered. Our helmets were badly damaged and we didn't hear a thing through them. The ice that exploded before, knocking our Captain out. Some bits had hit to our helmets as well.

"Yes but please don't tell him, he might be angry because... well," I gulped.

"Because you're competing against him sort of?" Hiro said what I tried to say.

"Yeah," I sighed. Hiro nodded his head in understanding.

A gunshot like sound broke the silence. We look back but saw nothing, the ice wall was still holding up.

"What was that?" Hiro gulped and then I felt strong pain in my side.

"Ngh, I don't know," I gasped.

"Are you okay?" Hiro whispered. We were nearly at the Sleigh.

"Yes, carrying him is just exhausting," I exhaled.

My head felt heavy when we climbed onboard of the plane. Captain's pulled Jack in and began treating his head injury.

"Is he going to be okay?" I whispered when I let myself drop to my knees right next to him.

"Sure he will," Captain Toothiana smiled while cleaning up the wound on him.

I glance at Jack's face. He looks like he is sleeping, my eyes go closed for a moment. Then I try to open them but everything looks so blurry. I get up but my feet feel wobbly.

"Arendelle. Is something wrong?" Captain Bunnymund asked. An air bump made me lose my balance and fall to sit on one of the benches. We had been in the air for some time.

"I...I'm fine," I insisted.

"She's bleeding!" Eugene gulped. I look at him and I see how he lifts an ice bag from his forehead, then he points at my left side.

Quickly I touch to my side and I saw blood in my hand. That's when Captain Sandy rushed to me and pulled my shirt up. I saw the fear in his eyes and I felt the same worry when I saw what he saw. Black sand was inside me.

"Get it out," I barely managed to say as I jumped up quickly. Then it felt really painful, it was like lightning had stroke into my body, making me shake. My eyes rolled back and my head felt like exploding. I couldn't see anymore or hear anything, but I felt that I was caught from falling.

Mama.

The sound of a child, like bells sweetly ringing and calling reached me. I open up my eyes and I see a figure standing in front of me. Smiling at me and taking my hand.

"Mama," the child said and giggled. It was a young boy with crystal blue eyes, white hair and a smile that was melting my heart.

"Are you talking to me?" I whispered and looked around. The boy nodded his head, making his wind wisped hair fly in the motion.

"Papa is waiting," he said and began pulling me up.

"P-papa, who... who is your papa?" I gulped as I got up. I was wearing a white night gown. I see that I'm in my bedroom in my own castle. Quickly I put on my slippers and rush after the boy. He had run outside from the door laughing.

"WAIT!" I yelled after the boy. I saw him running to staircase and then sliding down from the railing.

"That's dangerous!"I shrieked and once I reached the staircase I saw the boy again.

He was being held by someone. A man with his back turned at me, the boy was grinning in his lap. My heart was pounding wildly inside my chest and I squeeze the fabric of my night gown. The man had white wind wisped hair.

"Mama! Papa and I are waiting!" The boy chuckled and I took one step down in the stairs. I was staring at him, not blinking even once. Each step I took made my heart beat even more painfully.

"H-hey," I called and then he began turning around.

At first I saw the same one sided smile that the child had and then... then I saw a glimpse of cyan blue eyes, sparkling.

I can't breathe anymore. I close my eyes and my insides are hurting.

When I open my eyes I began gasping. The image of the boy and man had disappeared, it was like a dream. The room I am right now is pure white and when I move my feet I feel weight on them.

Then I knew why.

Jack's upper body was on top of my lap, he was sleeping. Slowly I'm realizing that I'm in infirmary. My hand was shaking when I reached to his hair, I'm letting my fingers brush through it.

It made him startle and I'm looking at him eye to eye. There those cyan blue eyes are again, making me flush.

He didn't say anything, he just let himself come at me in an embrace.

"Jack," I whispered softly to his ear. He was just breathing in and out heavily. After few moments he cleared his throat and backed up.

"Sandy got the sand out from you. I hope that the dreams he managed to give you instead of nightmares weren't unpleasant," he mumbled.

"N-no. I saw a cat riding a unicorn in Minecraft world," I laughed nervously. I just lied to him.

"Uh... that's... just weird. I thought he shows people their deepest wishes in dreams... Or maybe you have just extraordinary mind," he said and laughed a bit. I just shrugged.

"Captain Frost," Hiro's voice came from the door.

"Yeah," Jack replied and got up. I glance at his face again, he has a bandage over his forehead.

"Colonel Moon wants to see you," Hiro told him. Jack just nodded and walked to the door.

"Keep an eye on her," Jack ordered Hiro before leaving.

Hiro sat on the chair where Jack had just been. He was staring at me curiously.

"What?" I gulped. I wish that he hadn't seen the hug Jack gave me.

"He has been next to your bed ever since we got back. You were shot with black sand, everyone was worried but he went crazy... it's like he had been your overprotective brother or something," Hiro told me and raised his eyebrow.

"Is that so," I smiled innocently.

"Yeah, well. You were out for two days. The guys miss you and everyone got so glad when you started to show signs of waking up finally," Hiro smiled and touched my shoulder.

"T-two days? Does my sister know?" I whispered and Hiro nodded his head.

"Yeah, she's in town. Jack made some guy named Shawn to keep her company," Hiro grinned.

"Good, well... could you get me a phone? I need to call her?" I asked politely.

"Sure," Hiro agreed and went to get me one. I laid back on my bed. The dream I saw was still bothering me, it felt so real.

POV Colonel Moon

My door was knocked and I asked Jackson to come in. I glance at my son who was hurt in mission, how he sits in front of my desk and crosses his arms angrily.

"Jack. How is your head? Your mother wanted to know," I asked with concern.

"It's fine and if that's the only reason you called me in here for... then I just ought to leave," he sighed and got up.

"I heard she woke up," I said curiously and he sat back down.

"Yes she did. I guess everyone has been waiting for that?" He snapped out bitterly.

"Not as much as you did, I think?" I mumbled.

"What the heck is that supposed to mean?" Jackson shouted. He used his wind to slam the door shut.

"I know that she is dear to you even though you refuse to realize it. And I know what you two have been doing... just be sure that no one else finds out," I exhaled and closed my eyes for a moment.

"You have no idea... anyway. Did you have something real to say to me or?" He raised his voice again.

"Did she use her power at the mission?" I asked hopefully.

Jackson shook his head and sighed, "No. Not that I know of. However, something stopped the sand from moving for a moment so... who knows."

I clicked my tongue, "Gosh she needs to use it soon so we can move on with catching Pitch. You can't go on that mission alone, you need your partner."

"She was working with me on this mission," Jackson said and sounded irritated.

"Yes but not in a way it's needed. You two need to combine your powers," I stated.

Jackson laughed sarcastically. "You don't think my power is enough? Why don't you come to field old man, let's combine our powers," he said and tried to intimidate me.

I lean back on my chair and I shook my head. "No son, we're too much alike. We have short nerves, we act on plain feelings and risk everything. You need someone to keep you in control," I explained.

"So that girl should risk her life to deal with an enemy that our army accidentally created?" Jackson questioned. His voice was mocking, full of hatred.

"Unfortunately, yes," I replied to him. There was no point in denying it.

"I think she should get back to her kingdom and be the Queen for them. Not die because of our problems," Jackson yelled again and got up. His anger was making the room to freeze.

"Jackson, calm down," I told to him. "Her kingdom is at risk, the mole is in the military. She was struck by nightmare sand, the enemy might know about you two. They might use her in some way," I tried to speak some sense into him.

"I just keep screwing things up...huh," Jackson mumbled. He was staring at his hands without trace of emotion.

"Son..." I began but he was now walking out from the office. At this point there was no point in calling after him.
