21 Ghosts on Christmas
POV Colonel Moon
It took me the whole day to finish up paperwork on the latest mission of the Guardians. After their first big failure that took my daughter's life and shattered my son I decided to get them out of action. Then I had to bring the team back together to work on the field but Pitch Black knows the way the team acts and was able to surprise them again. For months I've been gathering things to report and now I can send it further.
When I got up I needed to stretch, I'm not young anymore and sitting around gets me.
I walk into the night, through the snowy base area and towards the gate. I wished Merry Christmas to gate guards before heading out.
I look up but I can't see the starry sky because of the city lights that lighten the night. There was no one seeing so I whistled, like I've done since I was able to and then I felt the familiar wind around me. It carried me up and finally I was able to see, all the thousands of stars that have been shining above us for many ages of man. However most of them are dead and sometimes I wonder if my own brother is a star in the sky, guiding my daughter. Emmet, my brother who never was able to feel the warmth of sun on his skin or fall in love like I did.
Speaking of love.
I glance down and I see how the smoke rises from my homes chimney. I land down in front of the door, there's a Christmas decoration hanging on the door in the rich colors of red and green. Sarah had left the porch light on and I go up the stairs. I wipe my feet and open the door to get in.
"Honey, I'm home," I called her and I saw her coming out from kitchen. Her warm smile melted my heart and she wipes her hands to her apron, she was probably baking some cookies from the looks and smell of it. She came to hug me and then helped my coat off from me.
I place my suitcase in the entry hall and I go to living room. I see Shawn in front of piano, playing some notes. He doesn't even look at my direction.
"Shawn, it is nice to see you downstairs," I said to him when I sat on the couch. Sarah brought some fresh cookies and milk for us and I touch her hand quickly.
"Mm... nice to see you at home during humanly hours," Shawn muttered and got up after closing the lid on piano. He comes to sit next to me. Holidays have been rough lately.
"Do you think that Jack will come home this Christmas?" Sarah asked. She had left her apron to kitchen and sat on the arms chair.
"No, I don't think so. He has a mission," I replied blankly.
"Hah, just like you. Always working and guess what, I'm happy that he is gone," Shawn laughed and ate the cookie he was holding angrily.
"You can't say that of your brother. Even though we can't have everyone home I wish that both my sons would be here for Christmas," Sarah cried and got up. I heard how she ran upstairs.
"Shawn, you should apologize to your mother," I said strictly but now Shawn got up.
"Well it's not my fault that you made Jack go into some mission this year. I don't even think that he would've come in the first place because he is responsible of what happened to Emma. Therefore he is no longer my brother," Shawn hissed and went upstairs.
Now I was left alone in the living room. Only light sources were the shimmering Christmas tree and the fire place. My only company was the cracking wood. I turn the television on and watch some old series.
"James," Sarah called me.
"Yes," I mumbled.
"It is Christmas eve. You didn't come to bed," she whispered. I look towards the stairs, she was wearing her pyjamas.
"I'm sorry. I lost the track of time and I'm not that tired," I smile to her reassuringly.
"While I get us breakfast... could you call Jack and ask if he would come?"
"Of course," I nod and take my phone.
The conversation with Jack was short and I could hear the grudge in his voice. There's nothing I can think of what could make him hate me less. This whole family has been torn apart, people are hating each other and there's an actual reason. Only Sarah tries to be brave and wishes that the family could still find the way back.
I look at the picture on the edge of the fireplace. Our children had always been close until this. Jack was always different, he had this urge to protect everyone around him. I remember when he was born, nearly dead because he had been concealing his powers in his best effort. That is how he prevented himself killing his brother before birth, instead he nearly got himself killed. He was so weak when the doctors got him out and to my hands, he was gasping for air for long time and needed extra oxygen. Only because he had frozen his own baby water near him.
And me? I had made my twin brother freeze inside our mother's womb. I was safe but Emmet wasn't. The first born in the family, he gains powers of ice, snow and wind but there's always a twin who doesn't have any powers and is vulnerable. The twin usually dies.
Jack knows his past, his powers concern him but he was always having fun in his life until the death of Emma. Then things changed, he lost his believe in goodness of life. He doesn't value himself and separates himself from everything he loves.
This is why I think that the incidence in the kingdom of Arendelle few months ago could be the key. The Queen who found her source of powers to be love could be the best new candidate to work with my son. Her powers are much greater than his and her new positive way of thinking might bring Jack back to us. This is what I have hoped for ever since she gave her application to join into military and I found out her back story.
I sigh and go to kitchen where Sarah has set the table. She smiles to me, her eyes are waiting for the answer she hopes for but I shake my head.
"Jack is not coming?" Sarah says sadly and sits across the table.
"Not this year, maybe next one," I comforted her and touch her hand.
"You said it last year," Sarah sobbed a bit and closed her eyes. "Where did you sent him anyway?" Sarah's eyes were filled with tears when she looks at me.
I gave her a smile, "With a girl who I hope to change him back the way he was before."
"I-is that possible?" She said with her voice filled with hope.
I nod my head, "Yes since he wants to protect her. I don't think that he will push her away like he has done to anyone else who tried to help him." I spoke softly, Sarah let out a quiet sob.
I notice that Shawn is standing in the doorway. "Nothing can change the things he did. Even though his former self might be back," Shawn muttered.
"Stop it!" Sarah shouted and got up. "He is your brother! I really don't think that he has been telling us everything, maybe he has lied!" Sarah continued. Shawn was surprised by her reaction.
"Mom, calm down. I'm sorry," Shawn pleaded when Sarah collapsed back on her chair.
"This might turn out to be the way of having our family back. Don't ruin it, when he comes back to us we need to listen to him," Sarah cried. Shawn nodded his head slowly and went to hug his mother. I truly wish that this is the way of finding peace to our family.
POV Jack
My phone began ringing and I startle. It surprised me, brought me back from near sleep state. I'm so tired as I stop leaning against the wall and I reach to my pocket. Finally I found my phone and it's 6:30am on Christmas Eve.
I stare at the number and for a moment I thought of not responding, just muting the call.
"Captain Overland," I replied officially.
"I was just checking how are the things going there?"
I bit my bottom lip for a moment when I heard his voice.
"Everything is fine Colonel Moon. There has been no threat to object," I told him.
"For God's sake, just call me dad. Your mother wanted to know if you're home for Christmas?" He sighed and then I was quiet for a while.
"I gave Private Arendelle permit to stay at home over Christmas. So no, I'm not coming dad like last year, besides it's for better. You know how Shawn hates me," I explained.
"You still haven't made up with your brother?" His voice was highpitched and I knew that he was worried. No wonder, we always made up our fights when we were kids. However this wasn't an innocent kids fight what we're now dealing with.
"No." My reply was short and cold.
"I see. Did you bring up the fact that she would be your partner?" He asked.
"Yeah but someone forgot to tell me that I'm dealing with a Queen," I hissed at him.
"It would have affected the way your companionship develops and it's crucial that there are no pre assumptions on neither of you. You and Emma were always close which made you a powerful team," father explained.
"Maybe," again my reply to him was simple and bitter. I hate when he brings up Emma.
"So how are things going between you and her? Has she shown you her powers?"
"Listen--," I began harshly, "—it is really early now and she's getting up soon. And no, no she hasn't and maybe she never will because I'm not so trustworthy on her opinion. For the looks of it she's really unsure if her powers are good or not, heck even I doubt my own powers. "
"You shouldn't doubt yourself Jack. I'm sure you did everything you could for Emma--," father begun but I raised my own voice above his.
"It wasn't enough. She is dead," I said the words which were burning my heart.
"I know how it feels to lose a sibling," father said silently.
"You didn't even meet him," I laughed sarcastically and shortly.
"Because I wasn't like you Jack. My powers killed my twin brother before we were born, I still feel like part of me is missing. You protected your brother by nearly dying by yourself, even though you were an unborn baby you cared of Shawn," father said and his voice cracked.
"Dad, you've told it to me before... Sorry for upsetting you," I said and felt remorseful.
"Stop blaming yourself Jack and try and find joy for your life for once," he insisted.
"Some other time. I need to go now," I whispered as I heard some steps inside her room.
"Take care." He finally said after a long silence.
"Say Merry Christmas for mom from me," I said and it felt painful. Simple words were crushing my insides. I have not seen my mother for some time.
"I will. Have a nice Christmas son. Bye," he ended the call and I push my phone back to my pocket.
The door creaked open and I quickly took a much more appropriate way of standing. Her head sticks out from the doorway and then she sees me.
"Captain, come in. I have something which we need to discuss," she said and went back in.
"As you wish," I mumbled and got inside.
She was standing in front of her dressing mirror. She was wearing a deep plum colored dress.
"Help me out a bit?" She said quietly and bit her bottom lip when she turned her back at me. Her back was open.
"Zip the dress?" I questioned and she nodded her head as she lifted her french braid over her shoulder.
I went behind her and I stare at the zipper, my gaze follows the line on her back all the way to her neck. Her pale skin looks smooth and soft. My hand touches her lower back and she flinches, however she didn't run from my touch when I slowly slide my hand under the dress to over her stomach. Instead she leans her body against mine and her head rests on my shoulder, she keeps her eyes closed.
She exposed her neck to me on that position and I blew some cool air on it, her breath was now shivering. Then I pulled my hand out from her dress. When I got her standing back on her own feet instead of leaning against me, then I was able to zip her dress.
"Why did you stop?" She pleaded when she went to sit on her bed. A rosy shade of red had risen to her cheeks and now I felt heat on my face.
"We can't, that's why. Before I was just your superior.. now.. it seems that you're Queen," I muttered and turn my back at her.
"I don't mind," she whispered.
"Great, well now let me go outside your room to keep watch," I snapped at her.
"I actually had something to speak with you," she spoke fast and I see her standing up. She folded her hands in front of her.
"I'm listening," I said and gave her a glare.
"Today's program. I can't stay in my room for whole day like I did for years. At first I'll attend to breakfast, then have conversations with my royal advicers. After that I have some spare time before dinner and time with my sister. I am planning for a walk near the mountains today," she explained and stared at me.
I roll my eyes, "And why should I give a shit?"
"Because you are my bodyguard and go where I go. Now you know the schedule so you know when you can eat, rest and use bathroom. That is why," she said and sounded insulted. She paced fast in front of me and out from the bedroom. I follow after her, she's really fast while she walks on the corridors and heads for breakfast with her sister.
The day was rather boring and I felt no sign of Christmas except the decorations which were all around castle. She was busy with royal matters for hours, her advicers were complaining about how her work is piling up because her sister can't handle every case and her playing in the military takes too much of her time. However she kept her grace and handled every matter with care.
"So how was your day?" I asked and felt amused when she was getting her jacket from closet. She had now her free time.
"You were there all day. I suppose you were listening?" She snapped back to my question.
"I was but I'm asking you," I mumbled when I opened the door for her. We walked into crispy winter air. Sun was shining and snow was clear and white today.
"Well it was decent. Thanks to you I have not been able to come home and work so things piled up and I had to work on Christmas eve," she said and sounded bitter.
"Blame yourself for joining into military and not telling who you are," I said back to her.
"Can't I enjoy my free moment, Captain?" She nearly yelled at me when she headed to a lake. She walked across it on the ice and I followed her.
"Sure... and call me Jack when we're alone," I told her.
"My name is Elsa then. Shall we skip the formalities Captain and act like we're two normal people and one of them dislikes the other?" Her voice was shaky and cold.
"Fine, two normal people and no formalities. You asked for it, " I said loudly because she was walking in front of me again. Quickly I fastened my steps and reached her, now we're walking side by side.
I glance at her on my right, she's not even looking at me. "How far is the mountain?" I asked.
"Look ahead or are you blind?" She mocked at me. Yeah, I've certainly made her grumpy today.
"Certain things make you blind," I whispered as I took her hand. She paused on her steps as I held her left hand. She was staring at me in shock. "Two normal people?" I grinned at her which made her roll her eyes and take a better hold of my hand.
"So since when have you disliked me?" I brought up it after we had been quiet for a while.
"I don't, I actually thought that maybe we could at least be friends... however you--," she said quietly and let go of my hand.
"I never said that I dislike you or hate you, did I?" I questioned. Her way of thinking surprised me. Slowly she shook her head after thinking for a moment.
We were walking up a hill, a forest was between us and the town. It wasn't that thick forest, there was actually space between the trees so it was looking rather young.
"I guess that growing up in a place like this must have been nice," I say half aloud.
"I really don't know," she sighed and I glance at her. She's rubbing her hands together nervously.
"Are you feeling cold?" I smirked at her and her face turns red. Again she shakes her head quickly to tell that it's a 'no'.
She was now walking faster up the hill and I grab her arm. "Wait up will you," I pant out as she is nearly running up.
"Don't touch me," she ordered but I pull her closer. I slide her hands under my uniform's jacket when I pull her into embrace.
"But I want to touch you," I grinned when I wiped a strand of her hair off from her face. I kiss her cheek gently and I feel how her hands are crumbling my shirt.
I stare into her crystal blue eyes when the wind blows past us. The hem of her dress waves in the wind when I lean my head to side lightly. "I see that you have something in the corner of your mouth," I teased her.
"Where?" She gulped.
"Here," I whispered and press my lips on hers. She held her breath and was tensed but she kissed me back.
"Why?" She exhaled after I separated from her.
"To make you stop thinking that I hate or dislike you. Heck, I'm your friend... a really good friend," I mumbled and turn my back at her.Now I'm the one nearly running towards the mountain.
"Jack! Wait!" She yelled after me and I turn around.
We were in the middle of our way up the hill and to top of the mountain.
"I'm going to show him," she muttered to herself so quietly that I barely heard it. I raise my eyebrow and stare at her.
"What?" I yelled down.
A smile spread on her face and some confidence was radiating from her. She started humming a tone which made me frown. She was acting oddly.
Then I knew why, she lifted her left hand up elegantly and waved it in circling motion. I could feel how coldness was coming from her, I could nearly smell her powers of ice and snow.
She the stomped her foot on the ground and I saw some white sparkles of ice crystals appearing. Smile slowly crept on my face when she began singing.
"Let it go-ooooooo-OOOOOO!" She began singing but soon she was screaming. In just few seconds things had changed, the very presence of her powers had disappeared when she had slipped. Now she was sliding on her butt down the hill.
My mouth hang open as she was screaming, trying to grab onto something.
"Shit she is heading to the forest," I gulped as I realized that she might hit into a tree with that speed. I began running after her and just when I got enough speed to catch up with her she vanished between the treeline.
"ELSA!" I shouted as I got inside the forest.
"Here," she replied and I search her with my gaze. I saw the track of her and then I found her.
I began laughing, she had fallen inside the snow. "Whoa, that sure was some sliding. Want a hand?" I grinned as I lean towards her. She had been buried deep in the snow.
She looks irritated but takes my hand and I pull her out. She lands over me in a way that air escaped from my lungs.
"Thank you," she mumbled and got up.
I saw how she got buried in snow again and fell on her back. Now I laugh even harder when I stand on the edge of the hole where she went. "Damn this fresh snow!" She cursed and glared at me.
"Stop laughing!" She whined.
"Sorry I can't, you look hilarious when you dive in," I chuckled as I crouch down.
"How can you even stand there?" She asked bitterly and began staring towards the tree tops while laying on her back.
"Being able to control wind gives you light feet," I managed to explain after clearing up my throat.
She gave her hand out again and I smile when I pull her up. This time when she collapsed on me we both sank inside the snow after she had rolled off from me and pulled me after her. Now I was laying on top of her inside the hole.
"You could've just fly me out from here," she sighed in defeat.
"I know but this is much more fun," I chuckled and touch her nose with mine. I'm holding the handle of my sword with my other hand so it won't press against her.
"What were you doing anyway? Stomping like that. There was ice layer under the snow, you know," I teased her as I kept whispering close to her ear.
"N-nothing," she gulped nervously. I was hoping that she would've succeeded in revealing her powers to me but now she's hesitating again.
"Okay," I spoke softly just before I began to plant kisses on her neck and moving to her jawline. Finally I was able to kiss her again. Her arms were over my neck as she had decided not to let go of me. Our kiss was full of desire which we both had been trying to control until now. I felt her tongue slipping inside my mouth shyly and I replied to her aggressively.
Our kiss deepened and her hands were pressing me down. My free hand was moving slowly from her shoulder, down on to her hip. "Take them off," she said when she gasped for breath.
"Mmh," I mumbled when I slammed my lips against hers again. My shaking hand was now opening up the button of my pants.
Then we both shouted from surprise. Elsa was gasping under me and I was holding my breath while I stared at her with my eyes wide open.
"What the heck just happened," I exhaled. The large amount of snow had disappeared around us and now it was a puddle under us, the water that got us both wet. With a splash it had exploded around us and I slowly got up and pulled her up too. That sure cooled things down.
"Umm.. it thawed?" She laughed nervously and looks away from me. She's embracing herself.
"I guess so but only few feet around us?" I wondered and glanced at her. Maybe she did this without a purpose. She just shrugged.
My clothes are sticking against my skin and I sigh. "Well I think that it was for the best. Screwing with the Queen on the heat of a moment is never a good thing, I think," I shrugged and then I took her hand.
"Maybe," she whispered.
I nod towards the town. "Hey, a cup of hot chocolate would sure cheer you up. Right? I can loan you some of my wind so you won't sink in the snow again," I grinned. She nodded and smiled with gratitude.
Once we got into town people were whispering stuff around us. The sight of the Queen was noticed by everyone.
We got inside of a warm looking cafeteria. It had old times decoration and was like a living room. I got us two mugs with hot chocolate which I brought to our table. Suddenly a boy in the age of about seven approached the table. He had green eyes and hazelnut brown hair.
"You are the Queen of Arendelle!" The kid gasped and then smiled while staring at Elsa. "Could you do a trick your majesty?" He laughed. I saw how she was getting nervous and I lean towards the kid.
"Between you and me kiddo... I don't think that she's up for any games but I can show you a trick," I grinned.
The kid raised his eyebrow and sighed. "I didn't mean any card trick mister," he muttered in disappointment.
"Neither did I," I laugh and touch the window next to us. It began frosting and the eyes of the kid were worth seeing.
I drew a bunny in the window and then I pulled it out. With one single blow from me it began hopping around the cafeteria and people noticed it.
"WOW! That is so cool!" The kid exhaled and stared at the bunny. Then he turned around to look at us.
"Do you date our Queen. I mean you have to because you both can--," he began but then Elsa spoke over him.
"Do some cool tricks of our kind. Now go and play with the bunny," Elsa laughed nervously.
The kid looks at me and I smile. "Maybe one day," I replied to the kid's question. He looked satisfied and then he left.
"Jack, why did you tell him that," Elsa gasped. She was really anxious for the attention that we were beginning to have.
"Just drink your hot chocolate," I said and ignored her question. I see how she takes a sip from her mug. She's quiet and her eyes have turned sad. Her clothes have dried up well as well as mine inside the warm café.
After we had finished our drinks we decided to leave, well she said that she better get going. I opened up the door for her and I was about to follow after her when she turned around and made me stop on the doorway.
"Mistletoe," she whispered and gestures me to look up. She pressed me against the doorframe and sealed the gap between us by kissing me. I close my eyes but I hear how some people noticed what the Queen was doing.
When she didn't notice I snapped my fingers. Her hands are tightly pressing me against the doorframe still and I kiss her back. Some people are cursing around us, how their cameras lenses got foggy all of a sudden. I say that they got frosted.
Then she parted and we both breathe in shallow matter.
The kid ran to us and grinned happily. The frosted hopping bunny had melted away ages ago. "You are on a date with her! I knew it!" Kiddo cheered. Right side of my face was twitching as I watch the kid.
"Jack, I'm sorry," Elsa whispered but I wasn't looking at her.
The twitching turned into sideways smirk and I began laughing. Slowly I nodded my head to the kid. "Everyone, have some fun on me," I shouted happily as I pulled her out after me.
"JACK!" Elsa yelled after me. Her voice disappeared in the sound of wind as I had let go of her and began running straight towards the castle.
My speed increased and I was able to jump over a fence and run on it. Then I held my left hand on the handle of the sword I was carrying as I jump to the other side of the street onto a rooftop. Now I run on rooftops and jump occasionally to other one. People are starting to get outside and see what I'm doing. She stands in the middle of wide open market area with a fountain in the middle.
I began jumping down in the middle of the market area and I unsheathe the sword. Gently I touch the ground with it and ice begins to spread and cover the market area. People around us are exhaling when I quickly sheathen the sword again and ran to her. Just when the ice reached under her feet I took her hands and I began spinning her around. At first she screamed from surprise but then she was laughing with me.
"I said have some fun people!" I cheered as I continue spinning her around the ice. Slowly the people gather their courage and step on it.
Elsa's body slams against mine and I hear her breathing close to my ear. "How about some skates?" She whispered while being out of breathe. I nod my head and I wave my hand in the air, making ice crystals float around us. Then I blew, making them glow in blue. The crystals floated into people's feet and transformed into ice skates.
Lastly I did us some skates.
"You are good at this," I chuckled when I skate my back first in the crowd. She was following me, doing circles and moves that I couldn't do in a million years.
"You are not bad either," she giggled and then blushed. I bow to her quickly and then my heart jumped inside my chest. What am I doing?
The smile vanishes from my face and I'm trying to find a way to fix this. Undo this mistake. Then she crashed against me and I shut my arms around her into embrace. She's laughing and I bury my face into her soft hair which smells good. I tighten my grip around her, if I hurt her now it is possible that she won't come back to me ever again but is the fact that we're both broken better than dead?
"What's wrong?" She suddenly asked and sounded concerned.
"Demon's devour Angel's," I whispered sadly as I let go of her. People were laughing, skating around us happily as we stared at each other emotionlessly.
"Maybe this demon you're speaking of... lost the light and the Angel can bring it back?" She said quietly and crossed her arms.
"Highly unlikely. It is better that you go for that dinner now, it's about time," I mumbled as I turn my back at her.
"Alright," she sighed and walks past me. I notice that the skates on her feet had vanished and I quickly got rid of mine.
While we passed the crowd I could hear things from them. Wind was always carrying the most silent words to me if they had something to do with me. Wind has been my oldest friend but now I wish that I wouldn't have heard these things.
Things about how similar powers I possess with the Queen. How people are so sure that we're in love and how I would be the king one day. I can't be in love with her or her king ever. She's innocent and I'm a man in ruins and she's only in danger around me.
I kept on observing the dinner situation in the corner. Servants kept bringing them more and more stuff and it is impossible that they can eat it all. She sat in the table with her sister Anna and Anna's boyfriend Kristoff.
"Why didn't your bodyguard join us?" Anna asked and looks at the corner where I'm standing. I look away.
"He didn't want to, says that it would affect his job," Elsa said bitterly.
"I see. So I was quite surprised of what you did on your birthday. I mean you were so sure to quit the military and settle down with some guy you don't know – which you preached to me a while back. What changed?" Anna questioned. I saw how Elsa stabbed a lettuce with her fork and bit her bottom lip.
"If there's a threat to this country I need to know what to do. Our father was military expert so he was capable of defending the kingdom in case of war," Elsa explained.
"But if you would've married a prince. I mean they have training? Don't they?" Kristoff spoke aloud. He wasn't afraid of the social statuses.
"Yes but they don't feel the same love towards the kingdom as I do and it is my advantage," Elsa smiled and moved her food around with the fork.
"Oh yeah, love can thaw. It is a source of power and so on," Anna cheered.
"Sshh!" Elsa hushed her sister and looks at me worryingly. Quickly she got up from her chair and announced that she needs rest. They had been dining for three hours, chatting and eating.
I walk with her to her room. We haven't spoken since the time on ice skating. I opened up her door for her and she went in without saying anything. I close the door behind her and then I stand on guard outside her room.
Hours later I'm still standing outside her door. Evening has turned into night and my eyes feel tired. I decide to close them for a moment. It feels good.
"Jack," I heard Elsa's voice calling me. My eyes were still closed and when I open them I realize that I'm laying on the floor on my back. She has opened up her door and my other arm is inside her room. She looks worried.
"I didn't sleep until morning, did I?" I mumbled as I sat down. I rub my aching head.
"It is night. I heard a loud sound when you apparently fell. When did you get rest last time?" She asked quietly as she crouched down next to me.
"At base," I reply and yawn.
"That was days ago! Get yourself inside," she whispered and grabbed to my arm. "You'll get some rest on my bed. There's enough room for both of us," she insisted.
"No, I can't," I gasped. Sleeping was always horrible.
"No buts, it's an order," she hissed when she dragged me in. She made me sat on the bed as she took my boots off and the belt for the sword. Then she pushed me down.
"Okay... just for a while, " I sighed as I let my eyes close. The bed felt comfortable.
"Look at what you made me do!" I screamed as I tighten my hands around her neck. She's turning blue and I took her knife which I slam into her chest. However I'm still choking her as her blood is running dry from her body. I feel angry, they were the reason why she's dead.
I look around me. There are bodies of those who kept on watching, laughing and getting amused of how they shamed my sister. However Pitch escaped but I was able to kill the rest of the fuckers and now only this bitch is left.
"Die," I hissed between my teeth. My own wounds are still bleeding but I don't care. Not until I've killed them all.
"Stop!" Toothiana screamed. She just arrived to see the blood shedding I have done. "Jack, please," Toothiana whispered and approached me. Cruella had now gone numb.
"Not until she's dead," I hissed.
"Jack," Toothiana coughed and was out of breath.
"Ssshh," I hissed and tightened my grip. I was sitting over her chest.
"P-please, Jack," voice called and slowly I ease my grip. Why am I hearing her voice? Wait.. if I'm hearing her voice then... this is...
"NO!" I shouted and I was fully awake. My hands are shaking and I stare at her. She is coughing, catching her breath and her neck is bright pink. "No," I cried and rolled off from her. Quickly I got up from the bed and I stare at Elsa.
She had kicked her blanket off, she was struggling for breath and her silky night gowns fabric was all crumbled. I had strangled her.
"I told you to stay away from me," I sobbed as I backed up. My feet hit on the table.
"W-wait," she gasped and rolled to her side. I just shook my head as I reach to take my things and go outside her room again.
Suddenly she grabbed onto my arm and got up from the bed. Her arms got around me and she placed her head against my chest. Her breathing was slowly easening. "I need you....ngh... to tell me what happened back then?" She said silently and held me even tighter.
"You would hate me," I muttered and pushed her away.
"Try me," she said and pulled me to sit next to her on the bed. For a moment I was ready to run but then I just decided to give it a go.
"You're the first one who will hear the full story," I whispered and I look at my lap.
"That's what I want. I heard you begging in your sleep and when I tried to wake you up you tried to kill me. Please, I wan't to know what has happened to you," she said and touched my hand which was resting over my knee. Her touch felt comforting.
"Alright... so I was working with Baby Tooth, my sister on that night on a mission. Others were doing their own jobs and our job was to shoot down the enemy so we could get the target to safety. Pitch Black was held captive. Anyway things went wrong and I was caught, Emma got caught when she tried to help me and then," I say quietly. She entwines her fingers with mine and takes our hands to her lap.
"W-when I got back to my senses there was this woman, Cruella. She was torturing me with a knife, and she really... uh... a-acted sexually towards me," I say and my words stutter. I feel embarrassed.
"You mentioned her when you just before," Elsa gulped and held my hand really tightly.
"Yeah well... My sister on the other hand. I heard it, how they ripped off her wings. S-she endured so much pain when those were attached to her spine and then they just ripped them out. Then they raped her, made me watch," I said and my heartbeat increased. How can I tell her what they made me do.
"Jack... I'm so sorry, if that happened to Anna... I just," Elsa stuttered and was gently rubbing my hand.
"Sshh... now... now I'll tell you why I'm the demon in the world," I gulped and I inhaled deeply. She was quiet now.
"They wanted me to rape her. Otherwise they would've shot me," I said and my body began shaking. I felt how Elsa's hand let go of mine. "I got on top of her, kissed her on forehead like I did when she was small like after reading a bedtime story for her but this time I...I..," I sobbed and then I buried my face into my hands.
"Please tell me that you didn't," Elsa said emotionlessly. She had taken some space between us.
"How could I? There was no way that I could do such a thing," I began crying. "I backed up. T-then they were going to shoot me and then she... she... she got up even though she was so hurt. She jumped in front of me, taking the bullet... then dying right in front of my eyes," I cried hardly. I never told anyone how she got killed, what they wanted me to do.
Elsa began embracing me and I rest my head against her chest as I cry silently. "I killed them all... but Pitch... that traitor got away," I exhaled and wrap my arms around her waist. My heart is aching badly but something in her, it is comforting me and the pain is slowly fading away.
"You did nothing wrong. You loved her and she loved you," Elsa whispered softly to my ear. Her fingers were brushing through my hair.
"Love, hah. If she didn't love me... she wouldn't have come to help me. She wouldn't have been captured," I laugh bitterly.
"Stop. If you love someone there's nothing you wouldn't do for them," Elsa said to me.
"That's why love is a weakness," I say silently.
Elsa sighed and got up after I let my hands slip off from her. She walks to her dressing table and opens up a drawer. "It's Christmas day now, it is past midnight so...," she said to herself as she took something from the drawer.
Soon she returned with a small box in her hand. It was gift wrapped and she gave it to me. "Open it," she urged me and smiled. I glance at her when I pull the ribbon, after that the packet opened.
I open up a small black box and then I saw a locket in the inside. "But this is yours," I mumbled but then she pulled something shiny from inside her night gown.
"No that's yours," she smiled warmly and slowly took the replica looking locket from the box.
The chain was long looking though, I turn around the locket. "To Angel's Guardian," I read the text aloud.
"Not for a demon but to the person who you really are," she spoke quickly and folded her arms behind her back. I gave her a faint smile as I put her gift on me. The locket was hanging over my chest, just above my heart.
"You can change the inside if you want," she laughed nervously and I frown. I look inside the locket quickly and I turn red when I see her picture inside it. I just shook my head and close it, then I put the locket to hang inside my shirt.
"D-do you like it," she mumbled nervously when I got up. She flinched when I gave her a hug.
"Thanks... I really didn't have a present for you but... I know a song which I want you to hear since I'm not too good in explaining my own feelings," I spoke gently to her ear. My heart feels much lighter now after I shared my worst memory with her.
She sat down on her bed when I created an icy piano into her room. I go behind it and I began playing the song and then I close my eyes for singing.
"I am not as brave, beautiful, and patient as you are
But I am safe in your arms I listen as you say
"I'm proud of who you've become
and the person you will be tomorrow..."
And I know I would give anything up for you...
I'll follow through I promise to hold on
I'll never let go won't let you down
If you can stay proud I'll be brave somehow...
I am not that brave
Sometimes I need to hear you whisper
"Everything's O.K... You'll be fine
I'll help you find your way..."
And I have nothing but faith in you
All that I am is what you are and we are
I would give anything up for you...
I'll follow through I promise to hold on
I'll never let go won't let you down
If you can stay proud I'll be brave somehow...
Whisper... You can save me I am listening
I am waiting for your best to come alive
And help me understand the reasons why
I'm here now living a feeling unlike my fear
Outside of this life I am here now for you...
I'll follow through I promise to hold on
I'll never let go won't let you down
If you can stay proud I'll be brave and
I will follow you I promise to hold on
I'll never let go won't let you down
If you can stay proud I'll be brave somehow.."
I slowly turn around on my seat when I end my singing. My heart is beating wildly inside my chest. She got up from the bed and approached me, her cheeks were softly pink and she kept on staring into my eyes.
She pulled me to stand and cupped my cheeks before giving me a kiss. "I loved that present," she whispered and kissed me again. Slowly she backed up while our lips were attached, we didn't see the bed until she hit on it.
We fell on the bed, I was on top of her. Her hands moved from playing with my hair to my waist. She began ripping my shirt outside from my pants, our breathing became shallow and we parted from the kiss.
"Elsa... y-you shouldn't," I gulped as her hands were unbuttoning my shirt.
"Ssshh.. Everything is okay," she whispered and made me blush. "Nothing will harm us when we're together," she continued and made me gasp when her hand slipped under my shirt and behind my back.
"Fine," I replied and gave her a warm smile. My hand went under the hem of her night gown and I ran my hand over and up her thigh. Our lips crashed against each other again. It made my heart pound inside my chest violently.
She was sleeping against my chest when I woke up in the morning. Her hair was open and her arms were around my waist. I have never seen her like this before, calm and beautiful. It's like she's smiling in her sleep. I didn't mean to stay with her the whole night and more less to make love to her. Ever since I saw her the first time at the base I was so keen on keeping her away from me but I ended up to this moment.
I wipe her hair away from her face and she slowly opens up her eyes, her smile is wider than ever before. "You stayed," she says quietly and snuggles against me.
I shrug, " I guess I did." I smile back and then I inhale deeply. This time I didn't wake up from a nightmare but it feels like I actually am in heaven with an angel.
"OH CRAP!" Elsa suddenly nearly shouts and bounces up.
"What!" I raise my voice. It is like World War broke loose.
"Anna. S-she wakes me up on special occasions. Get up!" Elsa gulped and my eyes widened.
"Like Christmas morning?" I gasped and Elsa nodded her head.
"Shit!" I exhaled and tried to get up but my feet tangled to the blanket. I fell to ground but I began to dress me up quickly. Even Elsa was fast on getting her night gown back on and jumping to bed.
I threw my uniform jacket on lastly after putting on the sword belt. My shoes were untied and I was still tucking my shirt inside my pants when I got out from her bedroom.
The door slammed close behind me and then I saw Anna coming behind a corner. I stuffed another corner of my shirt inside my pants and then I saluted her quickly and nervously. My face was red when her eyes examined me.
She went inside Elsa's room and I finish my try to put on the uniform decently. I overhear their conversation.
"Oh my god. I swear that you've been sleeping with that cute bodyguard! I mean I heard some rumors about you kissing him under mistletoe yesterday but c'mon! He was still trying to get dressed outside your room!" Anna squealed.
"Shhhh... what if he hears you?" Elsa whispered. Gladly Anna forgot to close the door fully.
"Who cares. This is just too good! My strict sister found herself a mistress!" Anna cheered. I really had hard time to conceal my shock.
"He can't be my mistress," Elsa groaned.
"Well some sort of bed warmer. Whoa! What a scandal! No wonder you skipped the engagement thing when you fell for a man in uniform," Anna clearly teased her.
"Anna, that's too much," Elsa sounded irritated.
"Do you know his name?" Anna giggled. "I'm asking since you're not supposed to marry a man you just met. I guess you can frickle frackle with them though?" Anna cheered. Now I felt like my whole body was burning.
Wait. My name?
"H-he is Jackson Overland. And I've known him for some time. Y-you know him as Captain Frost," Elsa said quietly. Wait. She knows me?
"Waaaait," Anna sounded shocked. "That Captain? That motherfucking asshole and jerk?" Anna screamed.
I wonder what she has told her about me...
There was a silence and then I heard Elsa's scream, "ANNA NO!"
The door slammed fully open and furious Anna stood in front of me. "You fucking asshole! How dare you use my sister!" She shouted and I took a step back. She was scaring me. Then she threw a punch which I didn't have time to avoid. Then I fell to my back on the ground.
"Anna, don't hurt him," Elsa begged as she ran to kneel next to me. I just held my aching chin.
"Elsa," Anna sounded irritated and amused. "Of all the guys you had to choose.. him! I mean why not stable boy or something more decent! He has treated you like crap," Anna exhaled.
"Calm down," Elsa gasped.
"She's right though," I agreed with Anna as I sat down and look at Elsa.
"Good that someone agrees," Anna groaned and I sigh.
"However I do all in my power to protect her even though I might get hurt or even killed," I continued.
"Give us a moment Elsa," Anna mumbled. I nod to Elsa and she left to her room while still being concerned of what's going on.
"I am not lying if that's what you worry for. I'm sure that even you weren't happy that she joined into military? I tried to get her out so many times but now... I can see that my only option is to make sure that she's stronger than anyone. If she dies, then I'm lost," I told her.
"I see," Anna sounded satisfied and when I look up for her she is smiling and giving her hand. She pulls me up and then the door opens.
Elsa is now wearing a red dress and looks at us and then our joined hands. "Good that you two made up," she sighs in relief.
"Now let me get back to my duty," I said to Anna and she let go. I walk behind them while they head for their Christmas breakfast.
They were seated and there was even a reindeer eating at the table.
Suddenly Anna began softly hitting her glass with a spoon. "I would like to ask Elsa's bed warmer to sit for breakfast with us," she said in royal manner while looking at me. My eyes widened and Elsa stared at me with her mouth open. Kristoff on the other hand ended up spitting his drink out from his mouth.
Anna groaned, "Then what is he?"
"Nothing, let him be," Elsa insisted. She sounded terrified and she looks at me like she used to when I was giving her a hard time in the military training.
I sigh and approach the table. I sat next to her and I close my eyes, while biting my lower lip. When I open up my eyes I notice all three of them staring at me. "I prefer to be called as boyfriend but this stays between us four. Got it?" I say angrily.
Anna began gasping but then she quieted down when a servant brought more sandwiches to table.
Elsa was staring at her lap and seeming a bit uncomfortable. I took her hand under the table and I lean closer to her. "Only if you want though," I say softly and warmly. Finally a smile came to her face and she nodded.
A servant came to the dining room and brought me some hot chocolate. It was the same servant who brought the sandwiches, most likely he noticed that there was one more person in the table. I silence down and stare at the drink in the mug, it is spinning around. I feel the same kind of spinning feeling inside my stomach.
What the hell am I doing? Boyfriend?
Now I totally screwed things up.

Anyway. If you guys know any cool US websites with nice baby clothes with pretty colors ( I like this fairytale type of animal thing patterns), then suggest them to me! They should ship outside US too though. Lol.
OOO! I must share. I just bought a snowflake patterned silver ring. It is a memory for myself now when I started my job this August. Yeah I continue in same place but last May I got a permanent job after interview so now I know what I do until I retire.
