Nialls POV

"Hands off, you're under invasion." I recognize the voice, that's my old head master!

I struggle my head out of Zayns chest and give a desperate look. The head master acknowledges my look.

"We were supposed to battle you today, fortunately for us, there was no army in defense. We barged fight in. I'm assuming you're the general, what a mistake that was letting you be in charge."

Zayn growls at the head master, squeezing me impossibly tight to his chest.

I whimper only to have to sounds drowned out by Zayns chest.

"Don't worry baby, I'm keeping you right here. I won't let them take you away." He whispers in my ear.

I make a strangled noise, I don't want to stay here. I don't like him anymore.

"Hand over the boy." They command once again.

"No, he's mine. Fuck you." Zayn releases one hand only to grab a gun hidden underneath the pillow.

One of my soldiers walks next to Zayn and Zayn growls. I'm crushed into his chest and it's getting hot in here.

"We can do this the-"

"Fuck off. I can do this all day, I'm not letting him go. No way in hell, he's mine." Zayn shouts the last part.

The same soldier reaches for me and Zayn punches his jaw. The solider tries to fight back, but misses and hits me right in the head.

And the rest is black.

"Niall we're free."

I open my eyes, squinting at Eds blurred figure.

"What? What's going on?" I ask, looking around. I'm in the back of the same army truck I began this adventure on, the same one I met Ed in.

"The allies attack the Germans, we won! The war is over, hitler surrendered. They started collecting all the prisoners and they found us. We're free! We don't ever have to go back. No more officers, no more being a prisoner. We're free." Ed beams, leaning over to high five me.

That's it.

I'm free.

I'm not a prisoner anymore.
