Chapter 7
Mitch
As soon as my chains fell off, I saw Jerome make a move on me. He had his claws out and his red eyes were filled with anger.
He caught me off guard, scratching me on my arm. Three huge claw marks imprinted themselves onto me, blood now dripping down my arm. I yelped in pain, though I brushed it off. I threw fire balls in Jerome's direction. He dodged every attack accept the last one, which lit his fur on fire. He whimpered in pain and frantically rolled around on the ground, putting out the fire.
I threw more his way as he growled at me. Inside of me wanted to stop. I was hurting him. He was in pain and I couldn't do anything about it. I wanted to stop myself but I couldn't.
"Come at me, you filthy stinkin' Bacca!" I yelled. Did I really just say that to my closest friend? I saw a bit of hurt in his eyes, but quickly brushed it off, charging at me, teeth bared and claws out.
Jason
The chains were off and I went after Ian. He had his iron sword at the ready. I aimed a wither bomb at him and it exploded in front of him.
He giggled to himself and charged at me with full speed. His sword hit me in the arm and I flinched. I hovered a few feet in the air, so he was out of my reach.
I threw more wither bombs at him. One of the bombs was a direct hit, which made Ian fly backwards. He hit the glass of the window with his back and he fell to the ground. He had the wind knocked out of him, and I smiled.
Stop Jason! Why are you doing this?! He's a friend. You don't hurt friends.
But I couldn't stop. I kept going. Just then a water ball was thrown at me. It was a direct hit in the face. Water dripped from my hair and down my face. I looked at the person who threw it at me. It was Quentin.
"Is that all you got, Feesh?" I taunted.
"IM NOT A FISH! IM A MUDKIP!" He shouted. I snickered.
"Feesh." I said, and laughed. I threw wither bombs in his way, catching him off guard, sending him into Ian, who went tumbling down to the ground again.
They groaned and sat up as I laughed. Ian stopped going after me and went after Quentin instead.
Ian
I saw Quentin on top of me and smiled.
Kill him Ian. Do it now!
No...he's my friend!
Too bad! Ha!
My arm thrust forward and just missed his torso by a few inches, and grazed his side. He cried in pain, and the spot where I hit him started to bleed. I swung my sword again and hit him in the shoulder.
He threw water balls at me but I just blocked them with my sword. I lunged forward, but Quentin moved out of the way.
"Stop moving Quentin!" I shouted. I struck straight in the side of his arm and he fell to the ground holding his arm in pain. He rapidly blinked and looked at me in fear.
Quentin
Ian hit me in the arm and I fell down in pain, clutching the spot where he struck me. Just then I felt something come over me. I rapidly blinked and realized what was going on.
Ian was standing over me with a sword in his hands that was covered in blood. His glasses were gone and he had this derpy expression on his face. He raised the sword and giggled. I closed my eyes, preparing for the worst.
Glitch
"Sir! The Mudkip will die if you don't put the shield around him!" I tugged on Mark's arm. "The serum effect has wore off!"
"Its wore off?! Dr. Jack. The shield. Mudkip. Now." Dr. Mark said.
He hurried and followed orders just in time to see Ian strike and his sword bounce off the protective shell around Quentin.
I slowly exhaled and gulped. Oh my Irene...that was close. (Sorry! I big Aphmau fan as well!)
Quentin
I closed my eyes and expected to be greeted by more pain but it never came. I slowly opened my eyes to see I was in a little protective bubble.
I sat up, even though my side hurt like crap, I put my hands against the shield and witnessed the scene in front of me.
Mitch had blood in his hair while Jerome had some in his fur, along with scratches and burn marks on both of them.
What the...why are they acting like this? Wait...the purple liquid in those- God damn those scientists!
I looked at Jason and Ian who were now fighting again.
Then I looked at Ty and he was terrifying. Claws and teeth bared with his sharp tail flicking back and forth while he flew in the air, his headphones and eyes now a deep purple.
That's when I looked at Sky. His eyes were pure yellow with no pupils. I gasped as he summoned a golden sword out of thin air and threw yellow fire balls from his hands at Ty.
"Sky...?" I whispered. Something about him was familiar. But what was it? He reminded me of someone...but who was it?
Mitch
I kept fighting Jerome. Man he was strong. What have they done to him? What have they done to me? To us.
I threw more fire his way. Just then I thought of something Jerome told me a long time ago.
Memory (Mitch was six as well as Jerome, a couple weeks before they were taken)
I was hurt. I had fallen and scraped my arm on the hard rocks on the road. I was crying while Jerome was next to me on his knees with his white shirt in his arms.
Blood seeped down my arms and Jerome wrapped it up with his shirt to slow down the blood flow.
"Th-thanks Jerome." I sniffed. "It's okay. Here let me help you up." He said and pulled me up with my other arm.
"I'll always be here for you Mitch. I'll never leave your side." Jerome said and smiled at me. I returned the smile and walked home with him so I could get proper care for my arm.
Memory End
I wasn't paying attention when Jerome hopped on top of me. I was on my back while I held up my arms. His paws pressed against my hands while he was on top of me, as I tried to keep up his weight.
He growled at me, his red eyes basically staring into my soul.
"Jerome. Please! Remember who you really are!" I said to him, struggling now as he snapped his teeth at me. Just the he closed his eyes and when he opened them they were their normal chocolate brown.
"Mitch..?" He whispered. "Yeah Biggums?" He smiled.
"Oh Mitch!" He smiled and bear hugged me. I hugged him back finally happy to see my bro back.
Just then a bubble looking shield appeared around us, trapping us inside.
Just then I heard my name. It was Quentin. "Quentin? What's wrong?" I called back.
"Look!" He shouted pointing his finger at Jason, Ian, Ty and Sky.
"What the-? Quentin! What's wrong with Sky's eyes!?" I called back.
"I don't know, but I have this weird feeling. He reminds me of someone. But who?" He said back.
I thought about it as I looked at Sky. He did remind me of someone. But what was his name...?
Ian
Jason threw more wither bombs at me, though I hit them back with my sword, every once in a while hitting Jason back.
I kept getting distracted by Quentin shouting at me to stop. I didn't. I knocked back a bomb hitting Jason right on the chest.
Jason
The impact hit me hard. I collided with the wall and got my breath knocked out. I wheezed and stood up. I felt something come over me as I looked at Ian.
I then remembered where I was, but in a flash, Ian was on top of me, sword held sideways to my throat. It tried to keep it off my neck and pushed the sword away. Eventually, he was far enough away that I kicked him in the stomach, making him back down. I pushed him to the ground and ran to the other side of the room, a little bit near Jerome and who who were in the corner. Ian stood up and held his sword and slowly walked towards me. All the sudden a bubble like sphere came around me and as Ian approached, he pounded his hands on the surface.
"Ian! Don't let it get to you! Fight it!" Mitch said.
Then Ian blinked. He calmed down and stood there a while. He dropped his sword and the same shield went around him as well.
That's when I noticed a scientist looking at me. I looked into her eyes, and expected to see hate and cruelty, but that's not what I saw at all. I saw fear. Not for herself, but for us.
My trance broke as I heard an explosion go off. I looked in what direction it came from to see Sky and Ty fighting. I stood up and pressed my hands against the seal.
"Guys! Do you see Sky's eyes!?" I asked. I got a chorus of 'yeses' from everyone.
"Don't they remind you of something. Of...someone?" Mitch asked.
I nodded. "Yes. Yes it does."
Ty (finally)
Yellow fire balls whizzed past me. Sky and I were fighting to what seemed like no end. I spread my wings and took to the air, dodging most of his attacks.
My tail swung back and forth, the blade at the end, swinging dangerously. My claws were out, ready to fight.
Sky stared into my soul and I stared into his. We were now on opposite sides of the room.
I looked down and saw everyone looking at us in anticipation. I looked back up at Sky and growled.
Sky
Darkness. I couldn't control myself. I went after Ty. The only thing that was on my mind was, I must kill everyone and everything.
I summoned a golden (butter) sword in my hand, ready to fight.
We were on opposite sides of the room. Ty growled at me and I narrowed my eyes. I was done playing games. This is where the real battle started.
We rushed at each other. I hit him in the arm, making him hiss. I slashed claws at me, hitting me on the face, right below my eye. I brushed of the pain as blood trickled down my cheek.
Ty whipped his tail around slicing me in the side and then flicked it so I fell down to the ground.
The facility made it so I couldn't teleport away, so I had to roll over to stop Ty from striking me in the chest with his tail.
I quickly stood up and brought down my sword but Ty blocked it with his tail. He took the sword, disarming me and hitting me in the side and the arm. I winced but summoned another sword.
I brought it up, blocking Ty's attack just in time. I was knocked to the ground once again and Ty was on top of me. I held my sword sideways as he continued to push down with his.
Then I felt the feeling of killing go away. My eyes turned back to white, seeing a murderous Ty above me. I tried pushing him off of me. "Ty! It's me! Sky!" I pushed him up enough so I could slide out.
I ran away and saw Ty run after me. He was right behind me and the wall was right in front of me. Once I was at the wall I back flipped off the wall right over Ty who crashed into the wall. Well that pissed him off... His nose was now bleeding, and he was panting heavily.
I was kinda stuck in a corner. "Ty please. Change back..." Ty charged at me, snarling. I closed my eyes and waited for death.
It never came.
I opened my eyes and there was a shield around me. Ty was banging his fists on it, paranoid that he wasn't getting to me. He roared a roar that made me have to cover my ears. I looked back up at Ty, straight into his purple eyes.
All the sudden he stopped. He smiled. His tail was flicking back and forth menacingly. He slowly back away from the shield.
I was so confused. That's when he turned around and looked at the scientists through the glass.
Ty
I couldn't get him. I roared and he covered his ears, and shut his eyes. He then looked back into my eyes.
That's when I realized something. This wasn't his fault. It was the scientists'. I smiled and slowly backed away from Sky. I looked at the window that they were behind.
I stared into Dr. Mark's eyes and he did the same.
Dr. Mark
"Sir. The dragon hybrid should've changed back by now." Dr. Jack said in his Irish accent.
(He is Irish right? IDEK)
I looked at the other scientists who had worried expressions on their faces.
I turned to face the guards. "Are you ready if he attacks?" I asked. They had chains and a muzzle in their hands. Dr. Kimberly was ready with a syringe filled with a knock out serum. They nodded and I looked back at the test subject.
Though when I looked back at him, he wasn't attacking Sky anymore. Instead he was looking directly at me.
Ty
I looked into Dr. Mark's eyes and smirked. I saw the fear in his eyes even though he had a straight face of bravery.
I stepped forward, up to the glass. Some scientists backed up a little.
My nose was almost touching the glass. I raised my hand and tapped on the glass with my finger. Since I was now excellent at hearing, I heard Dr. Mark say, "Don't worry. He can't get through the glass Jack." I chuckled.
I tapped on it again and a small crack appeared. The scientists' eyes grew wide and backed away from the window more. I tapped again and the crack turned bigger. My smirk turned into a grin, as I tapped the glass a third time. The crack got bigger and bigger each time I tapped. I tapped one more time and the glass shattered. The glass didn't fall, but there were millions of pieces in the now cracked glass.
I saw the scientists rush out of the room except the three that had weapons.
I punched the glass this time and the glass fell down allowing me to come inside the room.
