08 | go off bestie

Anastasia

I felt a hot breath brush against my neck, pressing kisses on my throbbing pulse point, as my eyelids drooped. He tightened his hands around my waist, pulling me into him, making us grind against each other. In a drunkenly haze, I tipped back my head, allowing him access as my hands found themselves nestled in his hair.

He pushed me further into him, attaching our cores together as I felt a moan slip past my lips. We slowly danced together, moving in sync, sharing intimate gestures as I lost myself in the buzz of the alcohol.

He stopped for a second looking at me.

An unfamiliar face. Something I am used to.

My hazed mind could only comprehend this much, because I had one drink too many. I remember that as soon as Liv went to talk to Nate, Remi had dragged me and the other corner of the room, looking clearly furious.

"Why the fuck is he here?" He had asked me harshly, not bothering if Nate listened or not. Remi's dislike towards Nate was clear.

I sighed as I answered him, "I'm showing him around." Remi just gave me a look. I shrugged and told him, "Look, I have no way out of this. So just please be nice." I said a silent plead.

"Why should I be nice? He's manipulating you. So even you shouldn't bother." He threw me a look. I sighed and the two of us glanced at Nate, hitting it off with Liv.

I raised my eyebrows at that, but brushed it off and turned back to the grumpy old man in front of me.

"Look Remi, just try to ignore him, or whatever." I sighed. He kept looking at me, not backing down. We continued with our silent staring contest until he rolled his eyes at me. I grinned knowing he had given up.

We had spent the rest of the afternoon with Nate asking Damien as many questions as possible, Remi throwing cheap shots at Nate and Damien instantly defending him, or making a lame joke to diffuse the tension.

I didn't bother to talk to Nate the whole time, seeing as he had found good company with Damien, until he got a text from a girl. Liv and I talked the whole evening, and she filled me up and anything and everything being the chatterbox that she is.

Suddenly, the door had opened revealing an older looking Liv. It had been quite a while since I had seen her.

"Hey Sarah" I instantly smiled at her, and a warm smile took over her face as she gathered me in a hug.

"Um hello?" Liv looked between the two of us. "I'm your sister and she gets a hug before me." She pouted.

"Well of course, she's my real sister, you're adopted." Sarah smirked at Liv, squeezing me from the side. Liv just flipped her off.

"Sare bear." Damien gave her a huge smile and hugged her. "Hey you." Sarah gave him a peck on the cheek. "Give this one here a hard time?" She pointed at Liv, as Damien's face etched into a huge smirk. "You know I did." He said in a smug tone.

Liv chucked a plastic water bottle at him, which he caught with ease.  "You're very bad at this." Damien said, flipping the bottle in his hands, not even a little affected by Liv's deathly glare, "Bet you're used to hearing that." Liv shot back. I couldn't help the chuckle that slipped past my lips.

"I can assure you that you're wrong." Damien said in a sultry voice, usually it would work on any girl, but Liv just scoffed.

Sarah gave Liv a quick peck on the cheek, grabbed water from the fridge and came towards me. I turned again towards Sarah as she threw me a questioning glance, looking at Nate, who just gave her an awkward wave.

"Is that?–" Sarah looked at me wide eyes and I just nodded.

"How even -?" She started to ask but I cut her off. "Long story, we'll talk later." I said and she nodded. "Well, um, hi." She chirped at Nate who stood on his feet. "Hello." He said politely.

Awkward silence.

Damien's phone pinged as he looked me, expecting me to get his phone from the couch, as I was standing close to it.  I picked up his phone and saw that one of our friends who usually organized parties has texted him that there was one tonight.

"Who is it?" Damien asked me as I walked toward him. "Jess. He says there's a party tonight. You down?" I looked at him. "Fuck yeah, I haven't had a good fuck in too long." He said. "I'm down too." Remi said in a gruff tone.

"Nate you have anything tonight?" I looked at him. "No." He nodded at me and that was that.

Within an hour we were out the house and at this current moment.

The guy in front of me kept looking at me as if searching for something, then he looked behind me for about five seconds. "What?" I mumbled, clearly drunk. "Are you seeing anyone?" He asked me.

"No. why?"  I asked him. "Well, there's a guy behind you who looks like he might smash my head with a brick if we went any further." The blonde in front of me said.

I looked behind me and my eyes came in contact with the one person I thought I wouldn't see here. Austin.

I sighed and looked ahead. "He's a dick. Your place or mine?" I asked the male in front of me, ignoring Austin's burning gaze at the back of my head. "No. I don't fuck girls who are involved with exes or whatever. Good luck." The guy bid me farewell and blended in the crowd.

I scoffed. Can a girl not have a decent one night stand anymore?!

I rolled my eyes, and went to get another drink, until a hand wrapped around my shoulders from beside me. Nate looked at me with a boyish smile, his irises wide, showing me that he was definitely drunk. His features were a bit softened and his usually tense and erect shoulders were now lazy, and more free.

I looked at him amusedly, and tilted my head. "Hey, how's your first frat party going?" I asked.

He gave me a lazy grin, "Couldn't be better, I can't believe I haven't been to one before." I laughed, "Yeah, they're pretty awesome."  I slurred.

We both grabbed ourselves another drink and looked at each other, raising our glasses and downing the liquid in one go.

"Who was that guy?" Nate asked, but in an absent minded way, he was probably referring to the coward asshole I was dancing with. "Well, he was supposed to be my one night stand for tonight." I shrugged, and hiccuped.

"I've never done that." Nate hummed in thought. "What? Have sex?" I quirked up a brow at him. He shook his head repeatedly. "No I mean a one night stand. Well, I did once, but I grew attached and dated her for about like two months." He said, his soft silky hair slightly dropping on his forehead.

"Well, it's not as easy as it looks, to have one night stands." I said, barely processing my words. Confusion danced in his grey eyes as he looked at me. "Oh really?" He asked me. "Yeah there are rules." I said.

"Elaborate." He made a gesture with his hand, as if saying 'go on'.

"Okay first, never, I mean never, look in their eyes for too long. It causes, I don't know a connection or something." I continued saying. "Next, no kissing on the lips. Lips are for someone you truly want something with, it's intimate." I slurred lifting up a finger. "And, don't have sex while facing each other." I finished.

Nate looked at me as if he was processing what I was saying. "Huh, that actually makes so much sense." I snorted. "I know right."

"I think we might be really drunk right now?" I said drunkenly. "Why?" He looked at me. "Cause we just had our very first decent conversation." I giggled.

Nate handed me another drink. "Cheers to that." He chuckled.

"You said supposed  to be your one night stand? What happened? Got rejected?" Nate smirked at me, how can he still smirk so perfectly while being drunk?

I scowled at him. "Please, have you looked at me?" I smirked at him and he just stared at me with amusement swarming in his eyes. "My ex is here and he was glaring at us, so that asshole took off thinking I was involved or something."

Nate was about to ask me something when I heard someone call out my name. Damien rushed towards me with an serious expression on his face and bumped into me, nearly knocking both of us over.

I steadied him with my hands on his arms. "Woah, slow down you hyperactive bunny. What's up?"

"Your taste in men is horrible."

I know that Damien, thank you for reminding me.

I thought in my head but just waited for him to continue.

"Austin is telling people stuff about you."

"That fucking loser." I cursed. At the corner of my eye, I noticed Nate clenching his fists.

Damien grabbed both our hands and pulled us, "Come on." He dragged out.

We walked to the backyard, where apparently a huge crowd had gathered. We pushed through the crowd to see Austin standing in the middle with a smug smile on his face.

"Of course I fucked both the daughters of the Duke–" He was saying.

Red hot anger boiled inside me and I gritted my teeth.  How fucking dare he?! I dug my nails in my palm, definitely leaving scars. He's going down.

Austin was still laughing away, telling jokes about us. I stood behind him, my hands crossed and waited for him to turn around.

I'm genuinely surprised by how calm I am.

"They weren't that good anyway, especially the younger one, her name is—" He was going on and on.

I cleared my throat, as he turned around, his smile dropping. Instead, a cold one formed on my face.

I turned around, facing the crowd that had gathered, many of them even had their phones out.

"Hi everyone, I am the daughter of the Duke that he fucked, the younger one." I pointed towards myself, feeling everyone's eyes on me.

"You've heard a lot about me already." I started and pointed towards Austin, "Courtesy of this guy here." "So now why don't we talk about him." I clapped my hands together. "Let's give him a performance review shall we?" I smirked, the effect of the alcohol slowly wearing off.

The girls, surprisingly cheered for me while I got a echo of 'boo's from the guys. I just gave them a middle finger.

"Okay. First time we had sex, he orgasmed even before he went in." I said loudly. A loud howl of laughter echoed. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed that Remi had taken his place beside Damien, his lips turned slightly upwards, beside him, Damien was laughing his ass off, a wide smile on his face. Nate was grinned so hard that his eyes lit up.

Austin refused to face me, but I knew his face was red from embarrassment. He deserves it.

"Second time we had sex, he didn't let me orgasm." The girls all around me three curses at him.

"Fucking asshole, all you guys are same!" A girl shouted on the top of her lungs.

"Dick!"

"You tell him Duke's daughter!"

I laughed loudly.

"Third time –"

I was about to spill some more beans but I was cut off by a loud familiar voice.

"You're gonna pay, you asswipe." Liv hollered, making her way towards Austin, like a bull to the color red.

I smartly stepped our of her way as she launched herself on Austin and kicked him straight at his balls. Repeatedly.

Austin groaned loudly and hit the floor, so close to bawling his eyes out and screaming.

I heard Damien whistle loudly, cheering her on.

Liv finally pulled away. "I've been wanting to do that for years."

I snorted and laughed, putting my arm around her. "I know."

We walked towards where our friends were standing as everyone as a lot of people hi fived Liv.

Damien looked at her with an unreadable expression until a smile etched on his face.

"You know Livie, I just realized that you never actually get angry with me, cause if you did, I wouldn't be walking right now." He smirked.

"Fuck off." Liv just rolled his eyes at her, but her lips turned up anyways.
