These are just a couple tips and tricks I use to draw dragons!

Muzzles:

I use a circle to shape the head, then I draw two lines extending from that. For a thinner muzzle, make the top line slant downwards. For thicker muzzles, have the lines parallel or make the top less slanted.

The green line marks the end of the muzzle. This takes a bit of experimentation to find something you like! I like a slightly curved outwards line.

The pink line is about where the mouth should be!

1. Example of a thin muzzle
2. Example of a thick muzzle
3. When a nose horn is involved, the tip of the nose can be a bit higher
4. When in a fear/angry expression, the muzzle where it connects to the bridges over the eyes become "lumped" up and angular

Claws:

The red claws should be longer than the green/side claws. The blue is the thumb.

Claws take a lot of experimentation to get right, so don't be frustrated if it takes a while!

My example there isn't very good, I did it pretty quickly. But practice/improvement is a lifelong process!

Wings:

The red is the skeletal structure, which can be spread or folded together, depending on the pose.
