It didn't hit.

Because she grabbed his hand before he could do so.

Kazue gasped, and his expression was more furious.

"HOW DARE YOU?!" Kazue held his slapped cheek.

"I don't wanna hang around and get your filthy venom, you snake!" Kazue paused.

"You're brave, little brat. But you still need a lesson for originality for messing with the identity of Charlotte Koichi!"

Kazue pulled on the girl's hair vigorously, and the girl did the same to keep herself in balance.

"You two, stop this!"

Both stopped and turned to see me.

"Iris..."

"Oh, darling. Calm down for once though. I'm only doing my job here." The girl said.

"And what kind of 'job' are you talking about?" Kazue raised an eyebrow.

"She's an impostor, Kazue." I said.

"What...?!"

"What do you mean, impostor?! Tell me, Iris!"

I stayed silent as I looked at the girl.

"You knew, you planned all of this, didn't you?!"

I still stayed silent.

"Say something, explain yourself, Iris!" Kazue was angry.

"She's only here to protect you!" I finally spoke.

"Protect me?" Kazue's eyes widened.

"Yes, protect you. I know Sadako won't stop until he finds Charlotte and sees her every day. To keep your identity from being exposed, I got her to be Charlotte, just so you all could look like a 'complete family'." I explained.

"Huh, so who is this girl, anyway? She seems to get my Charlotte look perfectly." Kazue inspected her.

"Thank you." She finally said in her normal way, not in the Charlotte way she was supposed to act.

"Come on, I'll tell you about her tomorrow. She has a boarding house across town, she can manage, right?" I asked her.

"Yep." She nodded.

"Oh, I'll definitely be seeing you tomorrow. Meet me at my house, and I'll have to ask you a few questions, before I can welcome you to the Koichi Family." Kazue said.

(The Next Day)

*Ding Dong*

"Come i---"

"I'll get the door." Kazue stopped Celine short.

"O...k." Celine said, dismayed that her brother had to steal her favorite job today.

"Hey--- oh, Kazue. That face..." I said as I saw his stern, serious face as he was looking at me, Maiko, and the girl one by one. The impostor girl was standing in the middle.

"It's good that you got here, you." Kazue pointed to her. "Come in." He said.

We did as told.

"Welcome to mi casa, impostora. I won't say 'make yourself at home' yet, you have to go through my series of questions before you can act as Charlotte in the real world." Kazue said, his arms crossed.

"Bring it on." The girl said.

"Introduce yourself." Kazue started. "In Charlotte's speaking style."

The girl cleared her throat.

She started walking around the living room like the place was a runway.

She striked her fiercest pose.

"The 'Crowns Up'...! My original!" Kazue's eyes were wide in shock.

Her pose was with her two hands in her head, like holding a crown, she was standing sideways, and her head was tilted back, and she flashed a smile.

"My name is Zoe Nisemono, 14 years of age, and I believe that confidence, poise and beauty is the formula for sexy." She said.

Kazue remembered something.

(Flashback)

"Introduce yourself." Agnes told younger Kazue as she was teaching him the basics of being feminine.

"My name is Aria Aimiwa, 10 years of age, and I believe..."

(Flashback End).

"That confidence, poise and beauty is the formula for sexy. She got that intro exactly right." He said. "This girl's been doing her research." Kazue thought. "To think that she even knows that, Aneki taught me that phrase too."

"That was, precise." Kazue said.

He started strutting like a model around the place. Then he stopped at Zoe.

"Challenge 2, take the 'Charlotte-standard selfie'. What I mean by that is the selfie has to be gorgeous." He said.

He brought out his personal phone and leaned against the wall. He then struck a fierce look...

And took the selfie.

"Take a look. And take note, it has absolutely no filters." Kazue said.

"Hm, it does look like a good display pic for your next profile." Zoe said.

"Your turn." He said.

Zoe took out her phone and posed, blowing a kiss, her eyebrows raised like the sassy girl Charlotte is supposed to be.

"Good enough?" Zoe asked, showing Kazue the selfie she had just taken.

"Sassy as it should be. Nice." Kazue said, his words obviously chosen carefully.

"Before I move on to the final challenge, it's time that I ask some questions about my alter ego to test if you really did your research to take on the job as my 'impostor'." He declared.

Kazue strutted back and forth like before, and turned.

"Question Number 1:"

"What is Charlotte's favorite shade of lipstick?"

"Oh, easy. It's Ruby Rouge. Red is flair, as she--- I mean you say." She said.

"Correct. Question number 2:"

"What is Charlotte's Favorite Holiday?"

"Halloween." Zoe answered.

"Yes, that's right. A little horror won't hurt." Kazue said.

"What about a marathon of horror, Kazue?" Maiko asked.

"Uh... Change topic." Kazue said.

"Next Question:"

"Give Charlotte's three favorite gems that she wants on a crown."

"That would be Diamonds, Lapis Lazulis, and Black Tourmalines." She answered.

"That's right. Question Number Four:"

"Who is the all-girl PriPara group I look up to? Both Kazue and Charlotte perspective. And who is the specific member I personally look up to the most?" Kazue asked.

"PioNote. Because, who didn't like them. And the specific member, Kelsie Takeo, the boyish, yet best Soprano of PriPara." She said.

"YAHHH, I like how she belts out those high notes. I mean, who isn't amazed by her, and PioNote entirely?" Kazue started squealing like a fangirl

The awkward atmosphere crept in, and he eventually cleared his throat.

"Anyway, the answer was correct. Now, on to Challenge Number 3. I'll be right back." He strutted like a model as he went upstairs to his sister's room, then came back in the same manner, but this time, with a blue pouch.

"The third and final challenge is what I'd like to call, 'On Fleek', for the very much updated on trends such as myself, defined eyebrows are a must. So the challenge is to touch up your eyebrows like Charlotte would and match it with smokey eyes as.she.likes it." Kazue threw the blue pouch (which had makeup inside, based on the situation) for Zoe to catch.

"It's, uh... okay. I brought my own." She brought out a black pouch from her handbag.

"Well then..." Kazue heaved a sigh. "I guess I'll take on the challenge as well. To see who's more 'on fleek' than 'a freak'." He shot Zoe a stern look.

"Ooh, that definitely burns." Maiko said to me.

"You know his way with words, Maiko." I said.

"But thinking about it, he's not actually feeling awkward about taking on the challenge at all. He's still a guy and all that." Maiko said.

"Eh, let him do what he wants for now. I wanna see his 'eyebrow-defining' talent." I smirked.

Both brought out their eyebrow pencils and started.

(About what seemed like an hour)

"There." Both said at the same time.

And surprisingly, both had the exact same look on their face.

"How the heck do our makeovers look so alike?!" Kazue exclaimed.

"I use the same cosmetics Sophie Hojo does." Zoe said, bringing out her proof.

When Kazue brought out the ones he used, it turned out to be the same as well.

"Ugh, whatever. At least you know how I do it. I'll just go wash my face. You can too if you want." Kazue said, rushing to his room to wash his face in the bathroom in his own room.

As Kazue came back, I spoke. "So, how'd Zoe do? Wasn't that the final challenge?"

"Well, she---"

"Before we conclude this." Zoe was the one strutting like a model towards Kazue this time.

"I challenge you, not as Charlotte, but as her one true mastermind, to a showdown. To see whose Solar Flare Sherbet has the right amount of sweetness and spice. Are you up for it, Kazue Koichi?" Zoe said.

"Zoe, are you crazy?! You're challenging him outside his alter ego!" Maiko said.

"Who are you to doubt him? He's Kazue, Maiko." I said, stopping her from saying anything more.

"Indeed. I'll take you on, since I take it as a dare." Kazue said.

A moment later, Kazue was ready with his sneakers on, and Zoe had her long sleeves tied on her waist to reveal a red croc top that went well with her shorts.

"We'll be the judge of this. One wrong lyric or move is a minus." I said.

Both nodded.

"Well yeah." I said.

"But no one will replace Iris (Kazue) as my twin sister (brother)." Kazue and I said in sync.

"Jynx!" We pointed at each other and laughed.

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever. But it's up to Kazue to make the decision." Maiko said.

"Well, I thought you were a total second rate when I knew you were copying my style. But seeing how you did in my challenges, and seeing how brilliant Iris's idea of getting someone to be Charlotte to 'complete' the Koichi family to avoid any Sadako violence..."

"Welcome to the family, darling." Kazue winked.

"Thank you, Kazue. I won't let you down!" Zoe gave a closed-eyed smile.

"Make sure. Or I'll totally fire you on the spot." Kazue said.

"Oh, you won't regret having me, Kazue. Count on it." She did Charlotte's laugh, and she and Kazue high-fived.
