I am Vertical Edge 74, a struggling writer, just like many of you. When I began my writing journey, I searched for a platform where writers could share their stories and readers could discover them based on their preferences and favorite genres. I thought I had found the perfect platform and eagerly uploaded my story.

At first, the response was great. I was getting around 50 to 60 reads daily. But over time, the number of reads started to decline.

Something else I noticed, and I mean no offense, was that some writers with fairly average skills had thousands upon thousands of reads. This initially made me feel inferior, but as I looked deeper, I realized the truth: many of these writers were employing strategies and behind-the-scenes hustles to gain massive visibility.

But does having extreme views make you a better writer? The answer is no. If you become content with gaining extra views without improving your writing, it can kill your desire to grow as a writer. True improvement comes from striving to be better, not from chasing numbers.

This is why I started this journey among you all, to create a space where writers can genuinely support one another. Here, there are no judges, only friends and followers who uplift each other, not for the sake of numbers, but for real, meaningful encouragement.
