Marvel Au - Part 2
Re-Cap(-tain America :) )
He (Deadpool)wrapped his arm around my shoulders and pulled me close "We're made for each other Spidey! Same experiences, you have a nice ass-"
I stood up quickly and kicked him off the building, I had learned a long time ago he can't die, so I wasn't worried at all. "Aaaaand, that's my cue, see ya," I grumbled, swing off to continue my patrol.
Ugh, he's so annoying.
~Roman's PoV~
I groaned as I got up, yes I couldn't die, but that doesn't mean I can't feel pain! That hurt! And not just my body! My feelingssssss.
I sighed, Spidey and Virgil had a lot in common, of course, I noticed! Of course, I know that there is a 90% chance Spidey's Virgil! I'm not stupid!
Spidey and Virgil have never been seen at the same moment. They have the same stature, voice, a lot! And their personalities are very similar. I'm not a very touchy guy, but I miss being Virgil's friend... and if Spidey's all I get, Spidey's all I get.
I want to fix what happened with me and Virgil, I want to be his friend, maybe a bit more... I remember that time we broke Patton's and May's window! Or all those times we got in trouble for talking during class...
I sighed and teleported to my room, getting out of my suit and waiting for my injuries to quickly heal. My mom was at work, same with my dad.
I wanted a friend to hang out with and talk, the 'friends' I have now only care about girls, and as a gay guy, it's annoying. It's all they talk about! I don't think I'm really asking for too much!
And Flash! I hate his guts, he has no right to treat anyone like that! Especially Virgil!
Roman, ya wuss, why don't you just talk to Virgil?
I hear you ask? Because-
Hm...
Because...
Holy Shit.
IDEA.
I'm gonna talk to Virgil tomorrow, make an apology, and hopefully start hanging out with him!
~Timeskip~
It was lunch, the perfect time to talk to Virgil. I saw Flash about to come over, but when he saw me he backed off. It took all my self-control to not chuckle. As I approached Virgil, I started getting anxious.
"Hey, Virgil, can I talk to you?" I asked, trying to keep my voice from stuttering and somehow succeeding. He didn't say anything until his friend, Dee, nudged him. Virgil sighed and nodded, looking at me expectantly. I kneeled down so it was easier to make eye contact. If I remember correctly he hates uncomfortable situations, so better get this over with quick.
"Okay, listen, I'm really sorry for ditching you all those years ago, I was a really dumb kid. But I remember all the good times we had, and I don't know if you do, but I just wanted to say I'm sorry."
He was quiet.
I was scared.
His lips quirked into a somewhat smile. "It was you who followed me yesterday, huh?" he asked. I looked away sheepishly and nodded. He shook his head, but I saw a faint smile on his lips. He tapped my head.
"Oh Romano, how ever will you make it up to me?" he grinned evilly, I glared at him, all but playfully.
"Hey, Roman, why don't you sit with them instead of kneeling in front of Virgil like your proposing?" Remy suggested as he walked by to sit in his regular spot. My face heated up slightly and I sat across from Virgil.
Okay, it's resolved. All good. No need to panic-ATTHEDISCO.
Virgil raised an eyebrow at me, "But seriously, pay up dude,"
I grinned, I wanted to smoothly say I could pay him back with a kiss, but I don't know if he's gay so... "Dunno Virgil, how will I," I smirked. His cheeks tinted pink and he looked away from me. I laughed.
"So Roman, why the sudden change of heart?" Dee asked, obviously suspicious.
"To be honest, it's not sudden at all, I've wanted to apologize since middle school," I replied honestly.
Virgil glowered at me, "Why didn't you say anything earlier?" he snapped. I bit my cheek.
"I kinda figured you didn't want to be friends..." I muttered, looking down. Damn, I'm doing a lot of looking down, well, if I date Virgil then I'll look down a lot too. Given his height. Might as well get used to it.
We talked for a bit, it was awkward, very, very awkward, but hey, it was something.

One week later~
I was in costume, and I noticed Virgil walking home by himself. I decided it wouldn't hurt to follow him and did so, making sure he couldn't see me. I noticed he kept looking around as if sensing someone.
Well, he told me that his Spidey-Sense only warned him when someone dangerous was neer him. As Spider-Man of course. He also told me that his Spidey-Sense didn't go off around me so...
I focused harder and scanned the area, no one seemed out of place, or shady. I made sure to keep a close eye on Virgil, he was my top priority here.
That is, I kept my eye on him until I didn't.
I LOST HIM!
I panicked and immediately dropped to where I last saw him, looking around frantically.
I heard a small whimper followed by a growl. I turned to where I heard it, an alley. I marched over to the alley and peered in, Virgil was pressed up against the wall by a man almost two feet taller than him.
My blood boiled in anger and I immediately stepped in and tore the guy away from him. The dude tried to swing at me, but I easily blocked his lazy attempt and teleported, dragging him with me. According to Spidey, it made everyone but me extremely nauseous, too nauseous to even stand. It was the best way to deal with someone without Spidey getting mad at me. Then I teleported back to Virgil, he had already walked out of the alley so I jogged up to him.
"Hey, are you okay?" I asked, trying so hard to pretend I didn't know him. He seemed nervous but nodded. "How about I walk you home so nothing happens again?" I offered. Please say yes. Please say yes. Please say yes.
He hesitated, "S-sure?" he replied. I grinned and walked next to him. I didn't want to make it awkward, so I struck up a conversation.
And by that I mean I started fucking with him.
"Ya know... you remind me of someone..." I trailed off. His face looked panicked. I almost laughed.
"R-really?" he squeaked. Awww~ Why isn't he this cute and shy, and awkward, and star-struck when he's around me as Spider-Man? I wondered.
"Yea... I think it's someone I work with... but I can't tell whether it's super-hero work or just regular work," I said. He looked super nervous.
"That's weird... 'Cause I don't have a job..." he mumbled.
I smirked, then impulse took over, I pulled my mask up to my nose.
I leaned over to his ear, "Ya sure about that Spidey~" I whispered, then pressing a quick kiss to his cheek before teleporting. Not far away, just to the top of a building to watch his reaction.
He froze, face red. I snickered. Then he started cursing, speed-walking to his house. I followed him, just in case. I watched his house, and I saw as the window to his bedroom open, he didn't look out or anything. Does he want me to come over? I pondered. Screw it I thought as I jumped to the window, I slid in, the room was empty.
Thwip
And then I was encased in a white cocoon and stuck to a wall. Virgil closed the window and locked the door.
"Kinky," I muttered.
Virgil glared at me. "Shut the fuck up, how did you find out? Did you follow me?" he asked, venom drenching his voice.
I rolled my eyes, not like he could see anyways. "It's not that hard, 'specially since you wear spandex, your body shape is easy to see, like seriously dude, are you even trying? I wear padded suits so that it's harder to see my true body shape. Plus, the lockerrooms-" I cut myself off. Virgil narrowed his eyes.
" 'Lockerrooms'?" he asked, "Do you go to my school?" he asked again.
"Classified." I responded in my best robot voice. He scowled. Damn how many different negative faces can one person make without repeating one?
"So that's a yes," he neared me, hands behind his back, "Ya know Dead, if you know my identity it's only fair for me to know yours." he said.
I shrugged, "Yea I guess." I said nonchalantly.
I expected him to stop, but he didn't, immediately ripping off my mask. He stared shocked.
"What the fuck." he breathed.
It was silent.
Then he walked away, opening a drawer and taking out a bottle of something blue, he walked to me again and poured it on the webs. They dissolved immediately and I fell to the ground with a soft thud.
"Jeeze," I rasped, "Can't even give a guy a warning?" I asked playfully. Still nothing from him. He just stared at me with a blank expression. I got up slowly and poked the side of his head.
"Hello? Did I break you? Oh god please tell me I didn't, Patton would kill me," I groaned theatrically. His eyes suddenly snapped up to meet mine, sparking with curiosity, and an immense amount of sadness.
"Roman is this why you suddenly sat with me?" he asked softly.
I couldn't stop myself, I picked him up, making him yelp, and sat on his bed, pulling him close.
"Of course not, what I told you is true, I've been wanting to apologize since middle school," I murmured. He pushed himself away from me, rolling away.
"Still too touchy," he grumbled. I chuckled fondly.
"So... friends?" I asked, deciding not to push my luck. Virgil smiled warmly.
"I would like that."

From then on, we went on patrols together, laughing, inside jokes, all that. Staring at sunsets, yelling at each other for not sleeping, ending up with a lot of sleepovers. It was good. But every sleepover I couldn't help but want to be able to sleep in the same bed as V without violating the law of No-Homo.

Two months later~
I was sitting on top of our meeting building. We always met up on the roof of this one bakery we really liked. Virgil was running a bit late but I didn't mind.
When he finally showed up I grinned. "Spidey! About time! What was the hold up?" I asked.
He rolled his shoulders, "Some asshole was trying to force a girl into his house, took care of it."
I nodded, "Ya know, you should tell your uncle, he would only support you," I said. He glared at me, I could feel it through his mask.
"And you should tell your sister, but I guess we don't get what we want huh?" he snapped.
Now I was concerned. "Okay buddy, what's wrong?" I asked, walking towards him with my arms outstretched for a hug, he fell into my arms. I rubbed his back.
"I'm just having trouble with my emotions..." he trailed off.
"Which emotions?" I asked.
"Romantic ones," he groaned. My heart skipped a beat, he must've heard/felt it as his head snapped up to face me. "What about you?"
My heart beat faster, goddamnit, his super hearing can hear it can't he? "Yep," I opted to simply say. He pressed himself closer to me, you'd think that I'd be happy, but I was nervous. My heart was in tune with that, going a mile a minute.
He giggled and rested his ear on my chest, tracing a random pattern on my forearm.
"Do you have anything you want to say?" he asked innocently.
This little shit
"You little shit," I growled playfully, pushing him to the ground and pinning him to it. He laughed, he's been really light-hearted as Spider-Man now. Maybe he's more comfortable with me.
I grabbed his chin with a smirk.
"Do I even need to ask?" I asked as I started pulling his mask halfway up, then mine.
He pretended to think, "Hmm... nope." he grinned, and now I could see it.
I didn't hesitate, smashing my lips onto his.
Sure, the setting wasn't perfect, it wasn't one of those beautiful sunsets or calm beaches. We weren't in our normal clothes just walking around town together. I was nothing how I imagined it, yet it was perfect.
We pulled away and stared at each other. I lowered myself slightly.
"Hi~" I whispered.
"Hi" he whispered back.
"Again?" I asked. He nodded, and we kissed again.
Damn his kisses were like drugs! I've only had two but I was already addicted. My heart swelled, it was bliss, pure happiness.
"Ya know, we should probably go on patrol instead of making out," he murmured against my lips. I groaned.
"I would much rather make out~" I flirted, Virgil pushed me off of him.
"We can make out all we want after patrol, k?" he offered. I grinned and nodded, pulling down his mask as he pulled down mine. And we were off.
I kept making comments about his ass and getting smacked for my sins, but it was worth it.
~Author's Note~
