Lies and Truths (Fluffy Prinxiety)

Thank you to Time-_-Bunny for requesting the chapter! I hope you enjoy!

Summary: So what if both Virgil and Roman are in denial for their feelings and they still act like they are rivals or something. But like Deceit, the Dragon Witch or someone decides to play around with this (in a not so friendly way) and curses Virgil to fall asleep and curses Roman to keep on telling the truth and it is both broken by a kiss.

Just some forewarning, Remus is in this chapter, so, of course, be prepared. It's... light? For Remus behavior, so, just take caution.

Virgil was currently in his room, staring at the ceiling, music playing through his room from his speakers. Of course, this peace that he had had to be broken by someone, who kicked open the door, Roman standing on the other side. Virgil sneered slightly, looking at Roman, and said, "What the actual fuck Princey? Heard of knocking? Not kicking in the door?" Roman scoffed, picking the door up and leaning it against the wall. "Yes, in fact, I have. You just did not reply so I decided to let myself in, but the door was locked," Roman said, crossing his arms over his chest. Although he would never admit it, he was worried when Virgil did not answer the door at least three minutes after someone has knocked. Yes, Logan counted because it happened so frequently.

Virgil scoffed, sitting up in his bed, turning off his music, glaring at Roman. "Whatever, what did you want? To taunt me?" Virgil spat, looking quite annoyed with Roman's presence in his room.  Roman glared at the anxious male, not appreciating the venom that Virgil was throwing at him. "Patton wanted me to get you for dinner. But, I suppose you do not want the pasta that he had cooked for everyone," Roman teased, turning on his heel, heading out of the broken doorway. A thump and frantic footsteps sounded from the room, a flash of purple running past Roman and down the stairs. Roman raised an eyebrow in question, simply shaking his head, a small smile coming into his features. Roman got down the stairs, noting that Virgil was now sitting on the countertop, holding a plate, while five plates were set on the table.

Patton hummed and thanked Roman, making sure to get Logan next, leaving the two in the dining and kitchen area. Deceit and Remus were already informed about dinner, but, were currently occupied with other activities. Roman shuddered at the image that ran through his head, sitting at the head of the table. Roman heard a quiet hiss, but dismissed it, thinking it was the kettle, hoping that Virgil would get it.

However, when Virgil shouted and pushed Roman to the ground, Roman knew the situation was quite different. Roman, in a frantic state, took out his sword, but, got hit with an orb of yellow, and passed out after seeing that Virgil was not awake either.

Roman groaned, opening his eyes to a dim room, the only light coming from a bedside lamp. Roman sat up in a quick motion, remembering the events that happened earlier. "Where's Virgil?! I'm worried about him!" Roman slammed his hands over his mouth after he said the last sentence, realizing that both Patton and Logan heard what he said.

What he didn't want to say, but was the truth.

Patton looked at him, opening and closing his mouth in surprise. "Not to sound mean, but, you're worried about Virgil?" "Yes." Roman furrowed his brow when he tried to lie again, speaking again, "I mean yes, something must've happened when that... yellow orb thing hit me," Roman growled at the end of his sentence, frustrated that he couldn't hide his feelings at the moment, a red blush dusting his cheeks. Patton squealed at the confession, Logan rolling his eyes, muttering under his breath about stupid feelings. "Why do you come to this hypothesis, Roman? You had said yes twice, so, why would you propose this?" Logan said, raising an eyebrow as he crossed his arms over his chest. "I am still trying to say yes because I am worried about Virgil!" Roman slammed his fists against the sheets in frustration, growling at the fierce blush that was rising in his cheeks.

Patton stifled his laughter at the child-like tantrum Roman was throwing but suppressed it after being given a stern look from Logan. Logan cleared his throat, and says, "Let's get you to Virgil, I think I have another hypothesis." Roman got up from the bed, still having a profuse blush on his face, following Patton and Logan to Virgil's room. Logan opened the door for Roman, showing the darker persona was laying in bed, breathing slow and shallow. The princely male eyes widened, noticing a slight glow on the other, but, couldn't help but notice-

"He's beautiful," Roman breathed out, smacking himself in the forehead, wanting to keep that in his head. Roman sighed and walked into the room, kneeling next to Virgil, brushing his bangs out of his eyes, getting a better look at his face. Virgil's makeup was currently gone, showing that he had freckles across the bridge of his nose and cheeks. Roman's face intensified in the red blush, not out of embarrassment anymore, but from his romantic feelings towards the emo. "I'm in love with him," Roman said aloud, muttering under his breath, leaning down to give a kiss to Virgil's head but hesitated, remembering Virgil liked his consent and would not be too pleased with him doing this. Would he?

Roman pulled away, frowning, going to Logan. "How did he get like this? I was staring at him before he saved me and got hit with a yellow orb. He was knocked out before I passed out myself," Roman rambled, knowing that he said some stuff that he definitely would have rather not said. Logan hummed, putting a hand on his chin thoughtfully, rubbing his newly shaven face. "I suppose that some sort of spell was cast on the both of you from the yellow orb, however, I do not have an actual hypothesis on what the orb could be. I could research if you would like, but, I can not confirm that the time used will be short," Logan said, already making his way to the door, perhaps to go to his study. Roman gaped at him, looking back and forth from Virgil to Logan, eventually sagging to the floor, leaning his head against the bedpost near Virgil. "I don't think I can handle being away from Virgil so long, it seems like torture..." Roman muttered, circling Virgil's palm with his index finger as he talked.

Roman sighed, conjuring a chair next to him, sitting on it so he was no longer on his knees. He started to hum a song, one that he wouldn't have anyone see him singing in a million years. It was 'Infinitesimal' by Mother Mother, one of Virgil's bands that he listened to. Roman may or may not have stolen Virgil's phone while he was sleeping and snooped through his music playlists, both on Spotify and in his downloaded area. Roman was now obsessed with Mother Mother and have listened to a lot of their music and albums. 'Oh Ana' was also one of his favorites.

Roman played with Virgil's fingers, contemplating on asking around the other sides if they happen to know what the yellow orb was. Roman kisses the back of Virgil's hand, standing up, hesitating. "I'll be back, love. I just have to question the others on the orb," Roman said softly, brushing back Virgil's bangs, heading out of the door after. He knew he didn't need to ask Logan and Patton, based off of their worried expressions and confusion. He concluded to speaking with the two dark sides, grimacing at the thought of speaking with Remus. It's not that Roman hated him, oh no, Remus sometimes proved to be uncooperative when asked a question, usually asking another question that is not even remotely related, then laughing his ass off.

Roman made it to the dark side of the mind, shoes click-clacking against the hardwood floor. Roman shivered at the sudden change of atmosphere, taking a look in the dark minds common room. It wasn't too different from the light mind's common room, a couch, coffee table, T.V. cabinets holding (hopefully) DVDs with some gaming units under the T.V. stand. The kitchen was, of course, a bit away behind the couch, replicating Thomas' common room in the real world, just darker. The painting that always confused Logan was black and teal instead of tan and teal.

Roman jumped at the sound of glass crashing to the ground and looked in the kitchen, finding Remus on the floor wrestling a... rat? Mouse? The rodent looked a little large to be a mouse but too small for a rat. Roman sighed softly, knocking on the door frame to alert his twin brother that he was there. Remus looked up, half of his face covered in blood, glass sticking out in odd areas, showing that the rodent was being choked to death, then finally falling limp. Roman pulled a disgusted face, shaking his head. Remus stood up, giving off a crazed smile as he held the limp rodent in his hands. "Hello, brother! To what do I owe my dork of a brother for this visit?" Remus said, giggling to himself.

Roman swallowed thickly, turning his head to the side to avoid looking at Remus. "I wanted to ask you a question. Do you mind... putting all of that away?" Roman asked, grimacing when Remus pulled out a piece of glass from under his eye, blood oozing down his face. "Sure, bro," Remus snapped his fingers, everything but the rat poofing away, no blood anywhere, and the glass picked up. "Now, what is it?" Remus asked again, walking out of the kitchen towards the commons, where a giant snake cage is held, holding a large green and yellow boa snake inside. Remus dropped the rat in the cage, the snake hissing and flicking its' tongue in interest, slithering towards the carcass.

Roman followed, avoiding to look at the cage, and asked, "Do you have an idea of where yellow orb magic may have come from? I am very worried about Virgil, since he got hit, and I'm afraid he won't wake up." Remus cackled quietly as he watched the snake eat the rat whole, turning around towards Roman with his crazed smile, twirling his mustache between his left index finger in thought. "Hmmm... Double Dee could have used it. I'm pretty sure he's what caused all this. However, I don't think he intended on hitting the emo, haha~" Remus said, laughing as another rat skittered across the common floor, taking out a throwing star and landing it in the rat, killing it instantly. "Jeffery is eating well tonight!~" Remus said offhandedly, picking the rat up from the tail and dropping it in the cage, snapping the throwing star away.

Roman watched in disgust, tearing his eyes away again, and said, "Wait, you mean he was trying to hit me on purpose? Why would he do that?!" Remus shrugged, sitting upside down on a black leather recliner, an audible 'pop' sounding from his neck. "I don't know, bro, honestly, I think he was either tired of something not happening or did it for fun. The former sounds more likely though," Remus said, throwing darts into the ceiling, audible 'thmps' being heard throughout the room.

Roman sighed, hanging his head, saying "Thank you, Remus, I shall take my leave, I love you." Roman cringed slightly at the truth that seeped out and sunk out of the dark mind, rising in his room, landing on his bed with a huff. He ran his hands through his hair, ruining the perfect state that it was in. He stressed, and he had to find a way out of this. And quick.

Roman woke up in his bed, glaring at the white ceiling in his room.  It's been about two weeks since the incident, and nothing has changed. Patton has been attending to Virgil to make sure he eats, drinks water, and goes to the restroom. Even when someone is unconscious, their body still functions as normal, at least, that's what Logan told Roman and Patton.

Roman wandered over to Virgil's room at 4 A.M. in his pajamas, sighing softly when he still saw Virgil asleep. He sat next to Virgil, summoning a stuffed black bear. He set the bear next to Virgil and the many other stuffies Roman has made for Virgil, small to medium. Roman hesitated, but gingerly picked up Virgil's hand, a tad warmer than what Roman expected it to be. He lifted his hand to his face, sighing softly, saying, "What is it like sleeping in your world? I hope it isn't horrible and filled with nightmares. I've been trying to give you some pleasant scenarios that you would enjoy, even being with the person you love most, whoever that may be..."

Roman leaned into Virgil's palm, closing his eyes, breathing in and out. The quiet of the room was soothing when it wasn't giving the other's anxiety, of course. Roman could feel the anxiety slowly creeping in, making him frown. He wasn't having negative thoughts at the moment, meaning that Thomas or Virgil were getting anxious, or, that's how Roman has observed. He glanced down at Virgil's face, eyebrows raising at the pain on the smaller male's face.

Roman placed his palm against Virgil's cheek, glowing red magic swirling throughout the room, watching as the tension in Virgil's body slowly died down. Roman smiled softly at the dream that he gave him, a picnic with his desired lover. Roman frowned, and sighed, saying, "You probably don't like me the same way you do... we're trying everything we can, but, I just can't take it anymore... please, come back, Virgil..."

Roman had a few tears going down his face as he leaned forward towards Virgil, his heart tugging in different directions. No matter how much he wanted to kiss Virgil, he couldn't. He settled for a kiss on the forehead before he left, heading back to his room at 6 AM.

There was frantic knocking on his door, jolting Roman awake. He bolted out of bed, grabbed his katana, and yanked the door open, seeing a smiling Patton, crying. "Patton? Is everything o....kay..." Roman trailed off as he saw Virgil leaning on the wall, trying to walk down the hallway. Roman dropped his sword to the ground in shock, mouth agape.

"Vir... Virgil?" Roman questioned, slowly walking up to the anxious side, raising his hand to touch his hoodie. The soft material that ran under his hand told him that this was, indeed, Virgil, and not his imagination going wild again. Roman teared up, grabbing Virgil into a tight hug, sobbing into his shoulder. "I-I thought you would never wake up... I was so scared, please don't do that again..." Roman sputtered, clinging onto Virgil, hopping that he wouldn't just disappear in his arms.

Virgil mumbled, "I'm not going anywhere, Princey, promise..." Virgil was more than taken aback by Roman's behavior, but, he was thrilled that the fantasy side at least missed him.
