Musical!AU cause why not?

They had been fighting non-stop. It was always something. That something mostly being one topic, maybe two. Even now. Their voices screamed at eachother. Roman going off about how Virgil ruined something, whether it was a disney movies or Virgil stating a fact or insult in a half joking way. That was until Roman had pulled a certain string that got himself cut off by the emo in question.

"Let it out!" Virgil sang with pure rage filled hate towards the prince.
"Been building up you better let it out!
Say everything you've been meaning now...
I want it to burn..."

Roman gasped as Virgil stepped towards him, eye filled with a flame. Roman's body softened at Virgil's voice, but also fear of what was happening.

"When you tell me I'm such a wreck...
it isn't easy cleaning up your mess!"

The Prince cringed, knowing fully well that he threw that certain adjective about the darkly dressed boy at him during their argument... and many time before in a range of different screams.

"It's like a garter up around my neck, he says it won't hurt."

Patton stepped forwards in attempt to calm his child down.

"But everything you do makes my heart race
I can't even think straight
is this just a game to you?
Reruns every night! It's always the same fight and I think you should know..."

All it took for Virgil to understand he was letting everything spill was Patton to gentally grip onto the fabric of his hoodie. His words running free, but he couldn't stop them, at least he tried. Roman stepped forwards and reached towards Virgil in attemp to calm him down aswell.

"Vir-"

"I hate your touch! I hate your mouth!
I can't stand every single word that falls out!"

Roman once again backed up, not wanting to make the situation any worse.

"But you're all that I've been dreaming of
this is not another song about love!"

Roman gasped at the words as Virgil stepped back, letting Patton trail him back and into his Dad's arms.

"I hate your voice! I hate your lips! I hate how bad I wanna steal your kiss!
But you're all that I've been dreaming of
this is not another song about love!"

The emo curled up into Patton's arms, Virgil's back pressed to his chest.

"Since you hate it just to say the least. And with your eyes you're suffocating me. Inside my lungs it's getting hard to breathe...you couldn't care less..."

Patton gasped as he looked at Roman with a glare. He wasn't angry because of the words, he knew it wasn't true on Roman's behalf, completely wrong. He knew Roman would care! He was angry at Roman for putting that thought into Virgil's head. Before anything else could be done, a heartbraking sob escaped Virgil's lips before he pushed out of Patton's arms and up the stairs. The bedroom door could be heard slamming shut.

"Roman..."

"I-... I didn't know... If I knew he thought I thought that about him, I would have done something sooner."

"You shouldn't fight in the first place!"

Virgil sat against his wall corner, replaying what just happened. Singing a few lyrics to himself. Same harsh tone, but whispering so only he could hear it.

A knock sounded at his door and immediately he knew it was Patton. Since it had playful ring but also a gental sorrow... and it also wasn't Roman's 'Princess Anna' knock.

"C-...come i-in..."

And true too it, Patton opened the door with a frown. He shut the door with delicacy to not make too much noise before walking towards him.

"So... Roman huh?"

Patton slumped down next to Virgil who instantly curled into his side with a half-hearted laugh. Virgil's head placed on Patton's chest as he listend to his slow heartbeat.

"I know... I feel so stupid for falling for someone I argue so much with. It's almost all we do..."

"...he does care..."

Virgil sighed and rested his head on Patton's shoulder. "Sure he does."

"He does. He just... doesn't know how to show it..."

"But to you and Logan he-"

"-finds it easier... I have the same attitude to him, of course he finds me easy to be around. Logan doesn't show much emotion meaning Roman doesn't have to put effort giving Logan care. Logan knows Roman cares for him and that's enough... but with you... He's lost... you're complete opposites and he doesn't know how to react. Either way, he does care for you, he just tries too hard that it pushes him over the edge... He doesn't understand what you want from him."

Patton flicked Virgil's nose causing the said-emo to chuckle before they fell into silence.

"The sky fades from blue to gray inside it's just like an ocean
still I'm drowning

Patton hummed to the question as Virgil looked at him with a small smile.

Virgil was currently at the bottom of the stairs with Patton behind him. Logan in the kitchen with Remy drinking coffee. Remus and Deciet sat too close to the tv. And Roman... sat on the couch watching the movie, but more listening to Virgil and Patton. He turned to them with a small smile, still half confused what they were talking about.

Virgil's confidence washed away as Roman looked at him. A blush rose to his cheeks as his eyes met Roman's.

Roman stood and took a few steps towards them.

"Are you two alright?"

Virgil stammered before his words caugh up with him and the lyrics started again.

"I need your touch. I have no doubt.
I want your love till it all runs out.
Cause you're all I've been dreaming of
is this just another song about love?"

Roman smiled as a blush rose to his cheeks as well.

I need your lips
I need you bad
I wanna steal your kiss

Roman smiled and they sang the last line of words as he cupped Virgil's face.

"this is just another song about love..."

Virgil smiled before Roman pulled them closer and connected their lips. They moved in sync before they broke apart panting. They breathlessly giggled before noticing the 5 pares of eyes on them.

Patton smiled with pride and Logan looking impressed. Remy looked confused but had a smile on his face either way. While Remus and Deceit smirked as they watched the two.
