Mmm... What happened?

Did I... fall?

Mmmph...

Huh?

Tomoe woke up, her head aching as if a weight was crushing her head.

"Where am I? What happened to me?"

She was wearing a maid outfit. That was totally different from her casual clothes she wore before.

She looked around.

"This castle is just like in the fairytales. Weird. Am I dreaming?"

She pinched herself. Nope, not dreaming.

The interior was so enormous. The white marble took in the sunlight from the glass windows, a humongous crystal chandelier dangled from the ceiling, and statues of what looked like kings and queens lined the walls.

But what stood out the most... was a portrait of a giant sword.

The way it shined, breaking away the darkness. It was amazing.

"That looks pretty awesome. Ako would probably want that in real life."

"MAID!!" A snotty voice echoed through the castle, causing Tomoe to jump in surprise.

She turned around and saw a small girl with a frilly dress stomping up to her. Her face was filled with disgust.

"Um... Not to be rude, but... Who are you?"

The girl's green eyes widened in anger.

"Are you stupid? You're my maid, idiot! No wonder girls like you are so poor! You're lucky you are even in the presence of the princess of Aporisa."

Tomoe just stared at her.

"Wow. I've never seen or heard a girl who could be so selfish and rude. How could you say that to someone? That's wrong!"

The "princess" took a step back in shock.

"How dare you talk back to me?!"

She went to slap Tomoe, but she held her arm up to block the hit.

"That was unnecessary! You didn't have to do that!"

"MOMMY!!"

An older woman, with too much curls and frills, ran to her daughter.

"Honey, what's wrong?" She asked softly.

The princess pointed at Tomoe. "She talked back at me and blocked my slap!"

The mother, or queen, looked at Tomoe with hate. "I should've fed you to the lions sooner..."

Tomoe had enough.

"Wow, how cruel can people be?! I was just telling her that she shouldn't be rude, and she tried to hit me, so I wasn't going to let her have her way!"

"And now YOU'RE saying that feeding me to some lions would be better for you?! I can't believe it! You should seriously get some help!"

They both stared at her, the princess clinging to her mother.

Suddenly, guards in armor rushed in the room, surrounding the redhead.

"Take that monster into the dungeons! She's a abomination!" The queen yelled, fear clearly showing in her voice.

They started to walk toward Tomoe...

"Stop!"

A teen girl walked into the room, with a look of disapproval.

Wait...

"Saya?!"
