(Later with Katie)

Katie had reached her apartment and felt slammed from the night she had.

"Phew man I didn't realize the night shift was going to be that tiring, not to mention that something in the vents attacked me." Katie stated as she leaned back in her car seat.

Katie then looked at her bandaged arm again before she sighed again and got out of her car.

'I better get some sleep for the next night shift.' Katie thought to herself.

Katie closed her car door and started making her way to her apartment to sleep.

"*Yawn* I'm physically and mentally exhausted." Katie said to herself as she felt more and more tired.

"Oh Hey Katie where did you go last night?" Katie heard a familiar voice ask.

She looked and saw her neighbor Marry coming out of her own apartment with some items in her arms along with a cup of coffee.

"Oh I work the night shift at my new job so I was there." Katie explained.

"Oh really? Where do you work?" Marry asked curiously.

"I work at Princess Polly and Pirate Pats Birthday Bash." Katie explained.

"That place! Holy Cow I remember going there when I was a kid!" Marry exclaimed excitedly as Katie mentioned the restaurant.

"Yeah it had a position for a security guard and mechanic for the animatronics." Katie explained.

"Oh I bet it's amazing to work in such a magical and adventurous place!" Marry exclaimed with her eyes sparkling.

"Hehe yeah, hey I'm really sleepy so I'm going to head to my apartment and go to bed." Katie explained wanting to get to bed as soon as possible.

"Aww Okay well hey if you have some time to hang out before you work, wanna go to a local bakery later?" Marry asked.

"Sure I don't mind going to a bakery for some sweets." Katie said.

"Awesome! Let me know when you're available!" Marry exclaimed excitedly as she left her apartment to go to work.

Katie just giggled a little at that as Marry was a very friendly woman who always invited her out to places whenever the two both had time. She was also kinda oblivious and naive which is why she didn't notice the cast on Katie's arms.

However Katie didn't have time to think about Marry all she wanted to think about was getting to her bed and sleeping. So Katie continued on her way to her apartment and she soon got to her apartment. Once she was there Kaite went to her room and collapsed on her bed and passed out.

(Later that day)

Katie woke up with a start when her phone started ringing, she groaned and sat up to see who was calling her.

"Ugh hello?" Katie asked sluggishly.

"Hey Katie how did you sleep?" Katie heard her boss ask.

"Oh! Boss! I slept well, thank you for asking?!" Katie asked, waking up instantly, surprised by the sudden call from her boss.

"That's good. And hey I wanted to say I'm sorry about the attack you had last night. Apparently one of our scrapped animatronics turned on somehow and went after you." The boss explained.

"Scraped?" Katie said, confused.

"Yeah those are the animatronics that didn't make it past the beta testing phase and were deemed too dangerous to work with guests so they were scraped and left in the basement." The boss explained.

"Ah I see, and I can also see why that one was scraped, it attacked me and tried to rip my arm off." Katie explained.

"Yeah it kinda also did that with one of the beta testers, so that's also why it failed." The Boss said.

"Well you guys found it right?" Katie asked, wanting to know if she was safe to go back later.

"Yeah it went into the vents, which makes sense as the vents are the only place in the restaurant where the cameras can't catch anything." The Boss explained.

"Okay good I was worried after it attacked me." Katie explained.

"Yeah don't worry we'll make sure the others all remain offline so they won't attack you again." The Boss explained.

"Alright so I'll be there at the same time right?" Katie asked.

"Yeah kid, I hope to see a good work ethic again." The boss stated.

"Alright... wait, how did you get my phone number?" Katie asked, remembering she never gave the boss her phone number.

"Kid did you forget, your contact info was on the pages you turned in so it's in the data system." The Boss explained.

"Oh right hehe sorry I forgot about that my bad." Katie said feeling embarrassed.

"It's cool, it happens to all of us. Hey I gotta go now so I'll talk when I need to kid, have a good day and a good work shift." The boss explained, before ending the call.

Katie stretched before looking at the time and saw that it was now 7:00 so she decided to get a shower and change into some fresher clothes. So Katie got up, stretched, and went into the bathroom to shower up, then change into fresher clothes.

(An hour later)

Katie stumbled out of the bathroom having just thrown up, due to her current condition.

"Ugh! Keven I can't believe you did this to me! Fuck!" Katie screamed as she thought about her ex boyfriend.

"Ugh, well the feeling is gone now so I might as well go see if Marry wants to go to that bakery as she's done with work by now." Kaite said to herself as she got her purse and phone.

She then left her apartment to go see her neighbor, she'd already started to feel hungry and have some cravings for something sweet. Katie walked up to Marry's apartment door and knocked gently on it.

"Marry you home? I have some time before I have to go to work so I can go to the bakery with you!" Katie called out.

"Coming! Just give me A moment!" Marry called out.

Katie stood there and leaned in on the wall next to Marry's apartment door. Katie put her hand on her stomach and rubbed it gently as she thought back to her ex.

"Ugh that Ass hole! How could he do all of that to me and then leave me here without at least paying for the amount of rent he owed! Now I'm stuck here trying to avoid being left on the streets or going home as a disappointment to my family!" Katie said to herself as she thought about her ex.

As Katie thought more about it she heard footsteps running up to the door, Katie was about to get out of the way when the door slammed right into her face.

"OFF!" Katie groaned as the door hit her face.

"Katie, where are you? I thought you were out here?" Marry called out as she didnt see Katie anywhere.

"Ug Marry, I'm over here!" Katie called out as she pushed the door off of her.

"Oops sorry hehe." Marry giggled embarrassed a little at slamming the door in Katie's face.

"Are you alright Katie? I didn't hit your stomach did I?" Merry asked, worried as she knew about Kaites condition.

"Yeah I'm fine, let's just go. I'm starving and I want to eat something sweet!" Katie exclaimed impatiently.

"Okay! Oh and Joy texted me saying she's going to be at the bakery as well!" Marry exclaimed excitedly.

"Oh really I haven't seen her in a while. Her job as a nurse kept her busy for a while and I've been really stressed with my current situation." Katie explained.

"Yeah, I'm sorry about that, that guy was a huge ass hole to leave you like this!" Marry exclaimed angrily.

"I know, and I don't even want to think what my family will think of me when they learn as well." Katie said as she hugged her stomach.

"Hey it'll be alright, after all their family I'm sure they'll understand if you explain everything to them." Marry declared.

Katie smiled a bit, but still didn't feel right about everything, she'd had too much to think about right now.

'I'll just worry about one problem at a time, the job was the first one, now the bills. I'll just keep working as hard as I can till I can pay off everything. After that then I'll think about how to tell my family.' Katie declared to herself.

'But for now I'll just focus on my cravings!' Kaite exclaimed to herself as she and Marry rushed down to the parking lot to get in their cars and then go to the bakery.

(Later)

The two friends arrived at the bakery in Katie's car, as Merry would get a ride home from Joy. Kaite parked her car near the entrance to the bakery and, alongside Merry, got out of the car. The two went inside the bakery and looked around for their friend when they saw her sitting at a booth near the pastry's display.

"Hey Joy! Me and Katie have arrived!" Marry called out.

Joy looked up from her phone and saw the two standing near the entrance.

"Hey girls, come take a seat here I got the best spot!" Joy called out.

"Okay just let us get some pastries first!" Marry called out then took Katie up to the counter.

"Hey Katie, order as much as you like, I'm paying for both you and me, and considering your financial position I know you can't pay for much." Marry explained.

"Really? O-Okay!" Katie exclaimed happily at the offer.

"Hello ladies, what would you like to order?" The employee asked.

"Oh I'd like a strawberry bun, a grape jam filled donut, and a chocolate eclair." Marry ordered.

"Alright and you miss what would you like?" The employee asked.

"I'd like a bag of chocolate chip cookies, a berry filled coruscant, two swirl chocolate buns, two powdered donuts, a slice of strawberry whipped chease cake, and I'd like to have a bag of churros. I'd also like to have some milk to wash it down." Katie said, putting in her order.

"Alright I'll have that out for you two soon." The Employee then started getting their orders.

After about a minute they got all the desserts the two ordered and after they got their orders they sat down with Joy.

"Hey girls how have you two been?" Joy asked.

"I've been well, but Katies having a bit of a struggle." Marry explained.

"Really? What happened to you girl?" Joy asked.

"*Sigh* I don't want to talk about it right now, I'm just hungry so I'm just going to eat." Katie explained.

"Oh okay, well I can understand that hope whatever's on your mind will be resolved soon." Joy said, giving her best wishes to Katie.

"He thanks Joy, you're an awesome friend." Kaite said as she started eating her chease cake.

Joy then looked at Katie's arm and saw that it was wrapped up in a cast.

"Wow Katie you good? What happened to your arm?" Joy asked, worried about her friend.

"I had a hard time at work." Katie said.

"Oh, ouch, hope you get better soon." Joy said.

"Thanks, Joy." Katie said while smiling.

The girls then continued to talk while eating and soon they were done in the bakery and left the place.

"Hey Katie, where are you going now?" Joy asked.

"I'm heading to work as I work the night shift, so I'll see you around." Katie explained as she got into her car and went to work.

(At Work)

Katie walked into the building again and she saw an employee collecting something.

"Hey, do you need help with anything?" Katie asked.

"Huh? Oh No I'm good I got it." The employee said as they finished up what they were doing.

"Alright so any animatronic in need of repairs?" Katie asked.

"Oh yeah, the Daycare attendant suffered a fall and damaged some internal parts, along with their face plate so that's gonna need to be fixed.

"Okay thanks for telling me." Katie said.

"Alright I'm off now, catch cha later." The employee said then left the restaurant.

Katie then went down to the basement to change and get her shift started. After changing Katie went into the maintenance room and got started. She saw the daycare attendant, named Dawn, laying on the table and she could see some cracks on her face plate. Katie put on some safety gear and got to work immediately to fix her right up.

(Meanwhile with Polly and Pat)

Pat was holding his wife Polly in his arms and was rocking her gently as she stressed and worried.

"Oh Poor Dawn and Dusk! I hope they're alright, they're so young and they're down there again after suffering from a fall today!" Polly exclaimed with worry.

"Polly honey it's alright, they're going to be alright." Pat said, trying to reassure his wife.

Meanwhile the others were on the other side of the main eating area and they watched as Pat comforted Polly.

"Damn, I hope those two are alright." Vex said.

"Me to Vexxy, after all the two of them are the youngest out of all of us, and none of us have the best memories of that palace." Velvet explained.

"Well I'm sure our new mechanic can fix them and bring them up here." Molly explained.

"Yeah us too, but I'm also worried if one of the scrapped animatronics might try and cause problems." Sizzle explained.

"Yeah, after all the other day one of them got into the vents and tried to rip her arm off." Elfendoor said.

"That's a scary thought, losing your whole arm, I can't imagine what it'd be like especially if it's the arm you use to write. The adjustments you'll have to make and the challenges you must face!" Elfendo exclaimed.

"hehe You two are always going to talk after one another aren't you?" Coral asked jokingly.

"Yes we are Coral." Elfendoor said.

"Yes we are indeed, it makes us very pleased." Elfendo said.

"Hey Guys I need some of you in the kitchen!" Priscilla called out.

"Really what happened?" Velvet asked curiously.

"A rat was found in the kitchen and Shelly is up on the shelves scared of it. So I'm going to need someone to get her down while I kill the stupid rat and take it outside." Priscilla explained.

"Do we have to kill it here? Why can't you just take it outside?" Coral asked, worried about the rat.

"Coral, it'll just come back inside if I do that!" Priscilla explained, sounding a little annoyed.

"No it won't, I'll show you, I'll take care of the rat, you, Velvet, and Vex get Shelly down." Coral explained.

"WHAT! Coral!" Velvet screamed.

"CORAL DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO GET HER DOWN!" Vex screamed angrily.

"You two just help me and stop whining about it! The sooner we get this done and over with, the sooner I can get all this gunk from the day out of my hair! I swear there's some gum in my hair!" Priscilla exclaimed angrily as she messed around with her hair a bit.

"Haha! Better you two than me!" Sizzle laughed.

"Sizzle once we're done with Shelly I'm going to shove you into the toilet! Let's see how funny that'll be!" Vex yelled angrily.

Sizzle curled up and immediately ran away to hide from Vex till security mode was turned on. The four then went into the kitchen to help Shelly down and so Coral could take care of the rat.

(Later with Katie)

Katie had just finished placing a new faceplate on the Daycare attendant, it looked the same as the old one so there wasn't much difference.

"Phew this one was a little harder as it's one that interacts with very young kids and I don't want to mess up anything. Especially I plan on bringing my child to this place soon." Katie stated as she once again rubbed her stomach.

"*Sigh* But enough about this the note that was left in here said that I don't need to shock this one as theirs is a switch in its back that I just gotta flip and it'll turn on." Katie said to herself.

She then sat the Daycare attendant up and opened up their back, she looked around for a bit and soon found the switch. Katie flipped the switch and turned her on right away.

As soon as the Daycare attendant went online she looked around and saw that she was in the basement. Once Dawn saw she was in the basement she instantly got scared and curled up in a bale terrified out of her mind.

"Hey hey! Are you alright?!" Katie asked.

"No No No! Not here again! Get me out of here! I don't want to be here anymore! Daycare! I want to go to the Daycare!" Dawn whimpered quietly as she tried to hide away from the basement.

Katie was confused by Dawn's words as she acted like a child traumatized by a place that they had a negative experience at.

"Um, well I'm done fixing you so you can go there." Katie explained, trying to calm Dawn down.

"No No! Not alone! Take me to mom and dad. I want to see them! I feel safe with them!" Dawn explained as she curled up in the fetal position more, still very scared.

"Um... sure?" Katie said, confused.

'Okay this is strange, why is she saying mom and dad? The only people I could think of being her parents are her creators, AKA the ones who built her.' Katie thought to herself confused.

Katie then tried to get Dawn to stand up, however Dawn refused to move at all, still shaking and very scared. Katie then tried to lift her up, and she was surprisingly able to do so with very little effort.

"Wow Alright you're a lot lighter than I originally thought. either that or all the work on the farm and rugby during college was worth it." Katie stated as she carried Dawn to the elevator.

Meanwhile in the shadows a scraped animatronic wandered mindlessly as they twitched and jolted every now and then. They then looked at Katie and saw her carrying Dawn in her arms, while Dawn looked like a terrified child.

"CCCCiiiilllldddd. Protect... Child." The Animatronic croaked out in a staticy broken female voice.

Katie meanwhile managed to get up the stairs and stepped out of the elevator. She was then about to go to the Daycare hoping that would help Dawn calm down, however she then heard loud metal footsteps coming her way. She spun around and was shocked to see Polly and Pat running up to her.

"DAWN YOU'RE ALRIGHT! HANG ON MOMMY'S COMING!" Polly cried out with her arms outstretched.

"MOM DAD I WAS SO SCARED DOWN THERE!" Dawn screamed as she scrambled out of a shocked Katies arms.

Dawn then jumped into Polly's arms and the two cried out of relife as they hugged. Pat joined in and hugged his wife and daughter as well, relieved that his daughter was alright. Katie just stood there shocked at what she just saw, the three animatronics were acting like a family being reunited after the child went through something pretty bad.

'Is that in their programming, I'm so confused by what's going on.' Kaite thought to herself.

Pat then looked at Katie and smiled at her and gave her a nod of thanks before he went back to comforting his wife and child. Katie just stood there shocked and confused at it all, she wasn't sure what to do and just stood there shocked.

"See Priscilla, I told you that there's a better way of getting Rid of rats than throwing them out into the bin outside." Katie then heard someone say.

She looked to the left side and saw about five of the animatronics coming out of the kitchen area.

"We'll see if more than one show up next time and scare Shelly even more, it's already bad enough with one, I can't imagine what would happen if she saw two." Priscilla explained.

Katie saw that Coral, Priscilla, Vex, Velvet, and Shelly were all coming out of the kitchen. Vex was also dragging Shelly on the ground by her tail, she looked incredibly shaken up and scared.

"Um what the heck?!" Katie said, shocked.

The five looked at Katie and saw her standing there in shock when she saw them moving and talking the way they were.

"Oh hey you're the new mechanic and guard right? I wanted to thank you for fixing me and Velvet the other day, we've been like that for a while so it felt good to be fixed. Oh and can I request you to not turn on security mode for us? We'd like to have the will and freedom to think and move wherever we want." Vex explained.

"Um... sure?" Katie said, confused.

"Good thanks, I also want to settle a score with that punk Sizzle, so if any of you need me, just look for me. SIZZLE WHERE ARE YOU!" Vex screamed as he ran off to go find the salmon.

Katie just stood there shocked for a little while longer before going back into the basement to continue on with her shift. When Kaite got there she went into the security room and changed into her security uniform, then started her shift. She sat down, turned on the tablet, and was about to turn on security mode, but stopped herself.

She remembered what Vex asked of her to do and decided to leave if off for tonight. So she just started watching the security cameras, she soon caught Vex dragging Sizzle to the bathroom, and while she knew it was wrong she couldn't help but watch as Sizzle tried to get out of Vex's grip.

"I'M GONNA SHOW YOU HOW I FELT WHEN I WAS DEALING WITH SHELLY AND THAT FREAKING RAT!" Vex screamed.

"NO NO STOP! I'VE BEEN A GOOD BOY! I PROMAS I'VE BEEN A GOOD BOY!" Sizzle screamed out.

Katie giggled a bit thinking that the scene was very funny as Sizzle grabbed onto the door frame. As Kaite was watching she suddenly heard a loud BAM, on the door, it was so loud that Katie jumped out of her seat a little.

She sat back down and looked at the door and heard another loud BAM on it, as if something was trying to break in. Katie clutched onto her stomach as her own life wasn't all she was worried about.

Then a final loud BAM was sent onto the door and it finally gave in and broke off its hinges and fell to the ground.

A tall animatronic then came into the room, it was so tall that it had to crouch down in order to fit into the door frame. However when it stood up Katie felt her heart leap as she saw how broken it was.

It looked a lot like Dawn, but taller and it had an eclipse theme to it, along with four arms instead of two. However it looked very broken, its pants were torn up, the suit on its stomach was gone and its endo skeleton could be seen, one of its extra arms was missing its suit and the endoskeleton was visible.

Its hair was orange but was almost completely gone, one of its eyes was also missing, and its wings were torn up and were broken beyond recognition. It was also missing its lower jaw and its voice box was in clear view.

Katie looked at it terrified as it loomed over her and looked like it could easily rip her in half. It then started walking over to Katie which made her even more scared as she didnt know what it was going to do to her and she was too scared to move.

The Animatronic then crouched down on its knees down to Katie's level, before it swiftly took her hands off her stomach and pressed its ear against it. Katie just watched in shock as the animatronic's first pair of arms wrapped around her, allowing it to press its head to her stomach gently.

"Child... child h-heartbeat s-strong. Protect children... at all costs." The animatronic said.

Katie was startled at all of this and she didn't know what to do in this situation. She just awkwardly patted the animatronics head as it continued to listen to her unborn child's tiny heartbeat.

"Okay this is definitely the strangest night of my whole life, now there's an animatronic listening to my unborn baby. *sigh* What have I gotten myself into?" Katie asked herself as she grabbed the security tablet and tried to go on with her job.
