(Two hours later)

"Okay this part of the job is really boring!" Katie complained a bit.

She sat there finding a way to try to entertain herself so she wouldn't die of boredom. She looked around the office for anything to entertain herself with, however she didn't find anything.

"Hmm what if I just go and walk around for a bit, I can bring the security tablet with me so I can still keep an eye on the cameras." Katie suggested to herself.

She then sat up on her chair, grabbed the security tablet, stood up and left the room. When she excited the room she saw that the place was washed over in complete darkness.

"Okay I didn't expect it to be so dark, guess it's to save power." Katie said to herself.

She then went back into the office and grabbed a flashlight and went back out with it on. She went up to the elevator and got inside to go up to the first floor, to explore the restaurant better as it had changed a lot in the past few years. While she was walking she didn't notice a pair of red eyes watching her from the darkness.

The eyes followed her as she made her way to the elevator, and once she went inside the eyes disappeared into the darkness. Katie meanwhile was focused on the security table as per her job to keep an eye on the restaurant.

"I wonder what the animatronics are like when they wander around the place?" Katie asked herself.

She stood there for a bit in the elevator wondering what places she could explore while on shift.

"Man when I came here I remember Polly being so sweet and kind she was the best! I also remember Pat being so adventitious and he was so cool!" Katie exclaimed excitedly to see the animatronics moving around the place.

(Meanwhile on the main floor)

The other animatronics were helping Vex and Velvet off the elevator that took them up. Now they were sitting on the stage pulling themselves together after the repairs and shock they received from the new employee.

"Ugh I hate that shock! It hurts so much! I swear it feels like a thousand needles are poking me at the same time!" Vex complained very angry at the situation.

"Me too, I really hate this, I want to go home!" Velvet explained sadly as she narrowly cried.

"Hey you two it's going to be alright, we're going to figure this out and get free!" Coral explained trying to lighten up the mood.

"I know but it's been years and we haven't gotten an inch closer to freedom! I'm starting to think it'll be like this till the next big thing comes and we go out of business." Vex explained while crossing his arms.

"Well know how the big man works, he won't allow that to happen whatsoever so who knows when that'll happen." Priscilla explained.

"Hey um where's Polly and Pat?" Velvet asks, wondering where the two main mascots were.

"Oh there in the daycare with Dawn and Dusk. They wanted to ask Dusk about her little attack on a kid a few days ago." Shelly explained.

"What WHAT! Dusk attacked a kid! She's not supposed to do that, Nor would she do that!" Vex exclaimed, surprised by the news as he and Velvet broke before that incident.

"We know and that's why they went there to ask her some questions, and I feel like they'll get their answers. After all Dawn and Dusk are like their kids and they all do act like any other family out there... well a normal human family." Sizzle explained.

"Yeah but I wonder how long they're going to take. They've been gone for a while now. I wonder if they're okay, or if Dusk is being a difficult child like always?" Petter asked.

Just then a fish prop was thrown at the back of Petter's head and he grabbed the back of his head while groaning in pain.

"I'm not difficult Petter, you need to learn to think about what you're going to say before you put your foot in your mouth." Everyone heard Dusk say.

They looked over and saw Polly, Pat, and Dusk all standing there and looking at Petter with disappointed looks on their faces.

"Ow Okay sorry kid, but you can be a little hard to deal with as you've seen to enter some kind of rebellious phase. Not to mention that you've been refusing to tell us what has been going on with you for a while now." Petter explained while rubbing the back of his head.

"I know and... I'm sorry I was just so shocked, and ashamed of what I did to the poor kid. He wasn't hurt but he did seem to be traumatized, as we got a serious complaint from his parents after that." Dusk explained.

"Dusk what did happen and why did you attack a kid?" Elfendoor asked.

"Yeah Last time I checked your means to protect kids when it's naptime in the daycare," Elfendo explained.

"I am, but it wasn't my own fault, my security coding got hacked and that's why I went wild that day." Dusk explained.

"What you got hacked! Who was it and why didn't you just try and take the kid to the lost and found where we're meant to take intruders. Why were you trying to hurt him and take him to the basement?" Molly asked.

"Because the big man wants a new animatronic to be added in so that's why I tried to take them to the basement." Dusk explained.

When the others heard that a silence fell over the room when they heard that. However it was short lived when Vex started screaming out of rage over the news.

"AAAAGGGGHHHH! FUCK! WHY THE FUCKING HELL DOES HE WANT A NEW ONE!" Vex screamed as he kicked over a nearby shelf of merchandise.

"VEX LANGUAGE THERE IS A CHILD HERE!" Polly screamed angrily as she covered Dusk's ears while also glaring at Vex.

Vex looked at Polly and then at everyone else who were shaking their heads at his outburst.

"Ah sorry guys I just don't want anyone else to suffer the same fate as we did." Vex explained.

"We understand, and we'll try our best to prevent it, but due to all the coding it's not going to be easy." Polly stated as she uncovered Dusk's ears.

"Speaking of which, our security mode was turned on a while ago so we'll need to get to patrolling if we don't want to get into trouble." Elfendo explained.

"Ugh I was hoping we would have some more time, but whatever. Let's get to work, and I hope we don't get any intruders into our restaurant." Molly explained.

Everyone all nodded before they all got up and started patrolling different areas of the restaurant. As they wandered their security code took over locking their free will back up into their heads until the security code was turned off.

(Meanwhile back with Katie)

Katie wandered around the building looking at all the new areas in aw, amazed by how well the place has changed.

"Wow this place is so much bigger than the last time I was here, when I was just about seven I think? It got too expensive for me and my family after a while as our farm started struggling due to drought. Thank god it's doing well, but by that time I forgot about this place. You know what when I have my own children I'm taking them here!... I just hope mom and dad won't think I'm a failure by working here." Katie said to herself as her anxiety took over.

However she shook it off and just went back to patrolling around the building. As she was walking the communicator, the suit had started buzzing and she picked up to see who it was.

"Hey kid, you must be the newbie, I'm the manager of this fine establishment." A man said on the other side.

"Oh hello yes my name is Katie and I'm the new mechanic and security guard here." Katie explained.

"I know, and hey I know that sitting in the office down in that basement can be boring so I'll let you do a little something. If you restock some merchandise and the vending machines then I'll pay you extra for that." The boss explained.

"Ohh extra? Count me in! I really need the money as I'm literally about to be evicted from my apartment." Katie explained.

"Hehe well the merchandise is stored in the back of each souvenir shop. As for the Vending machine items, just look in the back of the kitchen and you'll find some boxes with "Vending machine" labeled on it. Just fill up any vending machine that has an empty shelf on it." the boss explained.

"Got it, thanks for telling me all that." Katie said, grateful that her new boss explained everything to her.

"Good luck kid and I hope you'll get along well with the animatronics." The boss said before hanging up.

Katie smiled thinking that her boss was rather nice offering her a job where she'd be paid extra.

"Hopefully I'll be able to pay all my bills with this job as I don't want to get evicted." Katie explained as she went to one of the souvenir shops to do some restocking.

However she once again didn't notice a pair of red eyes watching her, but this time it was from the vents.

The animatronic that the eyes belonged to were connected and stared at Katie for a long time before they uttered "Parts... Want Parts."

They then slid farther away into the vents and made sure to stay out of the camera's sight. Katie meanwhile reached a room where she saw merchandise for Pirate Pat and saw a few shelves of plushies and cups were empty.

"Okay now I just gotta restock the shelves and I'll get that extra pay. The boss said that the stuff would be in a storage room in the back of each of these shops so I'll go get them from there." Katie said as she went into the back to get the items.

So she walked up to the door that was behind the counter and opened up to find many boxes all labeled with different kinds of Products. She looked around and soon found a box that had "Plushies" labeled on it along with one that had "Cups" labeled on it. She picked up the two boxes, (which thankfully weren't to heavy) and took them outside then placed them on the counter. She then slid the box of Plushies off the box of cups and opened the two boxes.

"Okay let's get to restocking and get that extra pay!" Katie exclaimed, ready to do her job.

She grabbed the box of Plushies and brought them over to the empty counter that they go on. She then started restocking the plushies, as she was doing the same pair of red glowing eyes appeared in the vent above the shelf. It looked down at Katie and then it looked at her arm that she was using to put the plushies back.

"Parts... want parts... want arm." The bot muttered low enough so that Katie couldn't hear it.

The vent covering was then lifted up a bit and a robotic arm with weirs and tubes came out of it. The hand that was attached to the arm had thin sharp claws for fingers, opened up and reached for Katie's arm.

Just as Katie placed the last plush on the shelf she was about to pull away when the arm roughly grabbed her in a tight bone crushing grip. When Katie's arm was grabbed Katie screamed at the top of her lungs and tried to pull away from the thing that was holding her.

Her screams were heard all throughout the restaurant, and it alerted nearby animatronics. The animatronics who heard her screams acted on their security protocol and ran to the area to investigate the cause of the screams.

Meanwhile Katie tried frantically hitting the animatronics hand desperately trying to get it to let go of her. However her efforts were in vain as the animatronics grip got tighter and it hurt more. Katie started to panic as it started yanking her closer to the vent's entrance and the yanking only got stronger and more painful. Another arm then came out of the vent and it started pushing Katie's body as the other one pulled more at her arm.

'OH shit it's going to rip my arm off at this rate! I need to stop it now!' Katie thought to herself in a panic.

She then grabbed her flashlight and started hitting the animatronics hand with it, but just like before it didn't work. The pain got worse and she was scared that she'd soon lose her arm. However that was until she turned her flashlight on by accident and the light flashed right into the animatronics eyes. It screamed in pain as it let go of Katie and retreated back into the vent.

When Katie was free she collapsed to the ground, heart pounding out of her chest she quickly got up and ran out of the room.

"WHAT THE FUCK WHAT THE FUCK WHAT THE FUCK WHAT THE FUCK! WHAT WAS THAT THING! WHY THE HELL DID IT ATTACK ME! AND WHY WAS IT TRYING TO RIP MY ARM OFF!" Katie screamed.

She held her arm and took a good look at what damage was possibly done. She saw that her arm was already starting to bleed and bruise, but due to the adrenaline currently rushing through her veins she couldn't really feel much pain.

"Ow I better get this cheeked." Katie said and turned around only to be met with Polly standing over her.

When Katie saw Polly she froze up for a moment as Polly looked much creepier in the dark then she did in the light. Polly looked at Katie for a moment before noticing the injury on her arm. Polly then gently grabbed Katie's injured arm and examined the damage done.

She scanned the injury and saw that aside from the bruising and bleeding Katie's also had a torn muscle and her bone was slightly cracked. After finishing the scan Polly brought Katie over to a nearby infirmary station where she could get her injury patched up.

When Polly grabbed Katie she was a little scared at first considering what had just happened to her not too long ago. However as Polly was being more gentle with her she started feeling more comfortable. Polly's robotic hand still felt metallic but also warm, (like a real person) and Katie felt comfortable and safe around her.

It reminded her of when she was younger and had gotten lost once in the restaurant. Polly had found her and started comforting her like a real mother would, her actions and words were so realistic it was like Polly was just an actor in a suit, not an animatronic.

The two soon arrived at the infirmary and when they did Polly put Katie's arm on the shelf that was connected to a window. The window opened up and out came another fairy animatronic who was wearing a nurses outfit.

The animatronic looked at Katie's arm before it went back inside, after a second it came back out with a medical kit. It then pulled out some items such as disinfectant, bandages, and a packet of colorful bandages. It then took Katie's arm and started treating her injury and wrapping it up in a cast.

After some time had passed her arm was fully patched up and the bot even put a colored band aid on the cast once it was fully on.

"There you go, you were a great patient today, i hope the next time we meet wont be with you being injured. Here, take a lollipop and have a fantastic day!" The nurse fairy exclaimed and handed Katie a lollipop before going back into the window.

Katie was in shock for a moment, but she shook this off and looked at the cast that was put on her. It was done very well, just like a professional doctor. She also smiled at the bandaid that the animatronic put on the cast, thinking it was cute.

She then remembered about her job, however she was scared about that thing coming back to finish it's job. So she decided to contact her Boss again and tell him about what just happened. She then picked up her communicator and tried to contact her Boss, however he didn't pick up at all.

"Ugh Damit! What should I do? I can't go back, that thing might show up and try to finish the job on me!" Katie exclaimed.

She looked up at Polly who just stood there and stared at her with the same frozen face that she had when she wasn't performing.

"Why I'm I asking about a robot meant to entertain children?... Wait, that thing didn't seem to like it when I flashed light in its face. I know the feeling when your eyes are used to the dark. A sudden bright light can be painful, that's why I keep my phone's brightness low first thing in the morning." Katie said to herself.

She then got up and grabbed her flashlight and decided to use it against the bot if it showed up and tried to hurt her again. So she went back to the shop to finish her job. When Katie got back to the shop she looked around at the vents looking for anything strange in them.

She then spotted it, she saw a pair of red eyes in a vent that was close to the cups she was meant to restock. Katie then wiped out her flashlight and shined it on the vent and the animatronic shrieked in pain as the light made contact with its eyes. It then retreated away from the light and further into the vent.

Once it was gone Katie relaxed and went back to restocking. She also kept an eye on the cameras while she went into other parts of the restaurant to restock products. Another thing she did was keep an on the vents and make sure that whenever she saw a pair of red eyes she'd shine the flashlight at it till it went away.

This continued on till the clock reached 6AM without any further incident, much to Katie's relife. When she saw her shift was over she went back down to the basement to return the items she had and get her stuff back.

After changing she put the security outfit into a laundry chute and went back up stairs to go home. When she got to the first floor and went up to the front door she saw one of her coworkers coming in for their first shift.

"Um H-Hey I'm the new one here, the Mechanic and Security guard." Katie said.

"Yeah hey, I'm not in the mood to talk so can you-" the guy said but stopped when he saw Katies arm all bandaged up.

"Um... what happened to your arm?" the guy asked.

Katie then looked at her arm and then back to her coworker before explaining what happened to her during the night.

"Strange I don't remember anything being in the vents, but I will make a report on this if that thing is aggressive and did that to an adult I can't imagine what it will do to a child." The guy explained.

"Okay thanks, and let me know if anything comes out of it... I-I'm Katie by the way." Katie said introducing herself.

"Samuel but my friends call me Sam." Samuel explained.

"Nice to meet you Sam, I'll see you around." Katie said before leaving.

Sam watched as Katie left the building, got into her car, then drove back home. After she left he let out a heavy sigh and scratched his fingers in between his eyes and shook his head. He then looked up and saw Polly watching them from behind a cardboard cutout of herself.

"Hey Polly, how was your night?" Sam asked.

"It's been better... But I wish Katie didn't run into that thing." Polly said, upset over what had happened to Katie.

"Me too, we need to find it and stop it before it causes more problems." Sam said.

"We also might have another problem. I'm sure you've heard of the incident we had with Dusk a little while ago right?" Polly asked.

"Well yeah everyone who works here has heard of it, after all she went after a child for crying out loud!" Sam exclaimed.

"I know, but the reason that happened was apparently because he wants a new animatronic into the restaurant." Polly explained.

"HE WHAT! DON'T WE HAVE ENOUGH! WHAT IS HE THINKING?!" Sam asked furious over what he heard.

"You know him, he won't allow this business to die and he'll do whatever it takes to keep it open." Polly explained sadly.

"Ugh, what do we do? We can't stop him and I can't go to the police over this because who would believe me? Huh, you tell me?" Sam asked.

"Sam! I know you're angry, I am too but if we're too rash about this he'll make all of us suffer worse! We just need to think outside of the box and find a way to stop this nonsense so others won't suffer too." Polly explained rather calmly.

"*Sigh* I know, it's just with what happened to you, your husband Pat, and everyone else here, I just can't help it." Sam explained.

Polly nodded her head and gave Sam a hug and comforted him. He smiled and Hugged Polly back as he did he frowned as his hands made contact with her Metal. He wished things were back to the way they were before this whole mess, back in the olden days.

'Don't worry Polly I'm going to do what I can to fix this." Sam thought to himself.

Meanwhile Pat was watching the two from the entrance to his Seaside adventure. He frowned as well, wanting this whole thing to be over and to have his old life back with his wife, especially now that they have Dawn and Dusk in their lives. He then felt something hugging him and he looked to see Dawn giving him a hug. He smiled and turned to hug his daughter's back. He patted her on the head and swore to do whatever he could to not only fix this, but to also protect his wife and daughters as well.
