o. sombre soliloquy
IVY WAS GETTING INCREDIBLY BORED OF HER DULL JOB AT GRINGOTTS. She even partially wished that she had stayed in Egypt, so she would not have to put up with boring office work. All she did day in and day out was fill out forms, put them in a tube and then tick them off. Ivy honestly hoped for the best with Luke but it had been nearing a year since he left; she wasn't sure he would come back. Though, she did believe he was still alive, just in a place they couldn't reach.
Ivy had tried to get more information from Leo but he tended to avoid the topic of what exactly happened before he disappeared or just give a vague response. She was grasping at straws, knowing it would be wrong to attempt legilimency as she was scared of the consequences that could hold. It would also be an invasion of privacy.
Sighing, she ticked off the last papers she had tubed and started on the next one. It would have been a lot nicer if Bill had been placed near her but he wasn't. Ivy groaned. She wanted the day to be over.
__________
"Leo, you know I love you." Ivy whispered, placing her hand over his. "I really do, but we can't find him if you keep being vague with me." When she received no response, she prodded again. "I know it still hurts."
"Ivy just stop." Leo snapped, jerkily pulling his hand away from hers. "You have no idea how much it hurts. Can you just stop? I've told you enough: he left and didn't come back. Then my letters starting coming back unopened. Its safe to say he didn't get them. He doesn't want us to find him. He is gone."
Ivy sagged in her seat, the guilt on her face evident as she slinked away from his teary gaze. "I-I thought you wanted to find him."
Tears freely started to fall from his eyes as he forced her to look in his direction. "Luke is dead to me."
"I don't understand..." Her eyes widened and she reached out to him.
"Would you just listen to me, Ivy?" He griped but he allowed her to comfort him. "It's his fault. He left himself. I thought he would come back but he didn't. It hurt."

The second Ivy saw the owl, she knew who it was from and she squealed. Their contact had been incredibly limited especially after their return to England, though she did know what this was about. Bill was getting married and he just had to invite his friend.
"Remus! Did you get an invite too?" Ivy squealed into the mirror. "Fleur is lovely. Have you met her? Are you bringing Tonks? You have to bring her Remus, you just have to!"
"Someone's excited." He chuckled.
Ivy smiled and rolled her eyes. "Well obviously. Leave it to Bill to have a wedding when we're pretty much at war."
"It's a very strange idea to say the least." He commented. "Are you going to bring Leo?"
"I'm not leaving him alone in the house. He's becoming a ghost." Ivy sighed, drooping. "I think an event will do him good. He's getting snappy and frustrated and I'm sure there is just something he isn't telling me but yes. I'm bringing Leo as my plus one."
"And when were you going to tell me this Ives?" He asked, leaning against the doorway.
"I wasn't." Ivy smiled, tongue poking out in a childish manner. "I was going to force you in a suit and drag you there myself."
