o. may they lay to rest

IVY HUGGED HIM TIGHTLY. She hissed in pain, as he applied a bit too much pressure on her shoulder.

"I'd be a bit careful, she still needs to get her shoulder healed." Leo quietly piped in.

"Let's just get a healer so my shoulder's fixed." Ivy said, untangling herself from Percy. "I'm going to destroy everyone out there."

The healer simply muttered a simple spell, which reversed the cut. Leo would never admit that he was scared she would lose an arm. They made their way over to the Weasleys again, comforting them in any way they could.

"It's my fault." Percy mumbled.

Ivy gently ran a hand through his hair. "No, Perce, it's not your fault. It was whoever blasted the wall's fault."

"I made a joke and it distracted him."

She pulled him in for another hug. "Then he spent his last moments laughing with family. Did you see the wall coming?"

"No." He replied.

"Then there was no way of you being able to protect him more than you did, fighting by his side. You were there, and it wasn't your fault." Ivy let him relax into her embrace, and they sat in silence together. "We're going to win this. Do it for your family. For Fred."

"For Fred."

If Ivy was to be honest, she had missed Percy and his embrace. She hated that they had to reconnect at a time like this, if they were reconnecting. Ivy had already had a long day and so had everyone else fighting on her old second home.

"Can we talk?" She asked, untangling herself from him.

"We are talking." Percy replied, a bemused expression falling onto his puffy red face.

Ivy shook her head, leaning against him. "No, not like this. About us, Perce. Well not specifically us, I just want to talk to you when this is all over."

"I think we should talk about it."

"We will, okay. We'll talk about it but not now. Percy, we're going to make it out of this and we will talk. Talk until our lips fall off if thats what it takes. After this is over, I'll come find you. I promise. Spend time with your family, okay."

She gave Percy a smile and lifted herself up from the ground. Ivy noticed the amount of bodies laying on the floor, so many lost lives trying to save the world from the horrifying death eaters. Even a death eater that had been her friend since she was eleven years old. She wondered for a moment how many people had been injured by him on the battlefield, once proud castle grounds. Leo stood beside her as they surveyed the hall. Ivy's gaze faltered, as she struggled to see a couple of figures a bit further down. Leo's hand gripped her shoulder but she shrugged him off almost silently and walked towards them in a sort of trance like state. Her cheeks were still sticky with old tears as she moved.

"Ivy? Where are you going?" Leo's voice was drowned out by the sobs of others crying over the dead.

Ivy got close enough to see who they were. Her eyes welled up with fresh burning tears and her body felt as though she'd been jolted with a thousand lightning bolts. The hair was recognisable. There was no doubt about it. And with that, Ivy took off running.
