IVY PARRY WAS NEVER THAT PARTICULARLY FOND OF PENELOPE CLEARWATER HOWEVER SHE FELT PLENTY OF SYMPATHY WHEN SHE WAS FOUND PETRIFIED. If Ivy was being entirely honest, she was finding the school year a bit of a drag and she was tired of all the petrifications. Of course it was serious, and as a prefect, she had been working incredibly hard to make sure students kept to curfew. She even went so far as to blocking the common room door every night to prevent a rebellious student escaping and potentially becoming a victim.

"There's talk of Hogwarts being closed down because of the petrifications." Ivy whispered to Luke as they sat down for breakfast. "If anything else happens, we'll all be shipped off elsewhere."

"You know full well we'd both be sent to Durmstrang, Ives." Luke pointed out, before chewing on a slice of toast. "I mean, c'mon."

"My parents would push for me to be sent to Beauxbatons." Lacey stated as she sat down next to Luke. "They don't want me to be too far away."

"I hope it doesn't come to that. I love Hogwarts." Ivy muttered, picking at her own toast. "And we would all be separated. I'm upping my security measures and I'm going to try and ensure that other houses do it too."

"Then we should go talk to Leo, get him involved with it." Luke said, standing up, before he noticed the other boy who was sitting way too close to Leo for it to be friendship he was sure. "Isn't that Ender Mitchell?"

"Well yeah, Luke. They've been together a lot since last year, haven't you noticed?" Lacey said innocently, not realising what she had done to fuel the fire in his eyes.

"I think I'm going to go introduce myself, after all a friend of Leo's is a friend of mine." Luke said confidently, though the flicker in his eyes convinced Ivy of ulterior motives.

"Okay Luke! I'll come join you." Ivy blabbed, quickly gathering her bag and sending a quick smile to Lacey. "You wait here, we'll only be a few moments."

She darted to follow Luke.

"Oh hey guys!" Leo waved enthusiastically.

"Are you two, together together?" Luke asked impolitely, forgetting a basic greeting.

"You haven't told them love?" Ender whispered into Leo's ear, earning a blush to spread across his cheeks and a quick shake.

"Ivy will sniff it out in an instant." Leo murmured back just as quietly before addressing the two. "Well, yeah, we are. Sorry I didn't tell you guys, its kind of new."

Ivy gave him a withering look, silently demanding an explanation later and Leo was not going to make her wait awfully long.

"Are you even good enough for him?" Luke sneered, glaring at Ender. "The only things you've got going for you are your quidditch skills and your stupid hair."

"At least I don't freak out every time he touches me." Ender looked him up and down. "And I especially don't-"

"Ender, stop. It's unnecessary." Leo grumbled, putting a hand on his boyfriend's chest.

"Fine." His eyes were glued to Leo's hand. "He started it."

"Damn right I started it."

"Luke, get your head out of your arse and come eat some more toast." She pushed him towards the Hufflepuff table but stayed behind. "Leo, you better explain to me what exactly is going on because you must think I'm stupid if you think I would believe this thing you have."

"It's fake." Ender started to explain but Ivy stopped him.

"I got that. What are we trying to do here? Give Luke a heart attack?" Ivy tutted. "It's a good plan. I won't spill if you promise to do something for me."

"What is it?"

"You need to start blocking your common room door after everyone gets in after curfew to make sure there is nobody going out to make themselves a potential victim." Ivy sighed, looking around the hall. "One more incident and Hogwarts goes bye-bye and I do not want that."

"Percy can I talk to you?" Ivy asked as they walked out of ancient runes.

"Ivy, I would love to but I can't right now." Percy sympathetically said looking away. "Ginny, she's not doing well."

Ivy pulled him in for a hug. "I could always come with you and talk to her."

"I'd prefer to do it alone. She's my sibling and my responsibility." He replied simply.

"Oh, well okay." Ivy spluttered out, confused and slightly hurt.

He gave her a chaste kiss. "I love you."

Before she could respond, he was gone. Her fingers ghosted her lips as whispered the words "I love you too."
