015.
DIANA had slept in. She had come home quite late the night before because she went a few towns over and had a bit of a killing spree. When she finally awoke she spent her morning in drowning business calls. She didn't have much time to see what was going on with the Scooby-Doo gang.
By now it was midday and she was now exiting her room when she bumped into her twin, "Hey where have you been all day?" he asked.
"Business call," she shrugged. Loud slams echoed around and the sound of Jenna's persistent screams followed. Diana sped down the stairs and saw Jenna holding a crossbow to who may or may not have been Alaric.
"Get out!"
"Jenna. Put the cross-bow down, ok? It's me," Alaric pleaded with urgency. Everyone in the house was now alerted to what was going on and they were gathered around the human woman.
"Stay away from me," Jenna warned.
"What's going on?" Elena exclaimed.
"Ric came. Jen thinks he's still Nik," Diana said.
"It's me, Elena. I swear ok. He let me go. Klaus let me go," Alaric breathed.
"Prove it," Damon demanded looking him up and down suspiciously.
"Ok. Uh, the first night you and I spent together. Jeremy walked in right when I was about to-"
"Ok it's him," Jenna rushed out with flushed cheeks.
"Please do tell. What happened?" Diana wiggled her eyebrows at Jenna who's cheeks became flushed even more.
"Why did he let you go?" Stefan inquired.
"He wanted me to deliver a message. The sacrifice happens tonight," Ric announced making everyone look wary.
"Well, Elena it wasn't nice meeting you. Have a nice death," Diana responded after a few moments of silence. Damon hit her on the shoulder causing her to glare at him.

They migrated into the parlour and Stefan interrogated Alaric, "So you don't remember anything that happened?"
"No. It's like I blacked out and woke up 3 days later. Katherine was there," Alaric confessed.
"Katherine's under compulsion. Damon managed to slip her some vervain but she can't leave until Klaus says so," Stefan explained.
"Where's Damon?" Elena spoke up looking around for him.
"I saw him go upstairs," Jenna said. Elena stood up and left and Diana glared at the spot she was in previously.
"What else did I do," Alaric begged. He was honestly worried he had made a fool of himself.
"You compelled some girl at school to ask Elena to save her a dance. Like a psychotic pervert. Then at the dance, you compelled the same girl to dedicate a dance to me. Then you killed the Bennett witch. After that, you told Jen about the supernatural and practically threatened her with a knife when she told you to leave," Diana explained, "So nothing big really."
The sound of someone struggling caught their attention and Stefan sped upstairs knowing it was most likely Elena.
"My brothers love this girl too much for their own good," Diana sighed before slumping back into the couch.

Diana and Alaric walked into the grill finding Damon immediately by the bar drowning his sorrows in liquor.
"I'll have the same," Alaric told the waiter as they sat on either side of the raven head, Salvatore.
"Me too," Diana said when the waiter looked at her.
"I screwed up," Damon announced glaring at his glass when the waiter left.
"When do you don't?" Diana muttered.
"Yeah you did," Alaric agreed.
Before they could continue their conversation a voice interrupted, "Gentlemen, Ana? Why so glum?"
"Ugh. Klaus, I presume," Damon inquired but it was more like a statement. Diana refused to look at him in his body. The familiar scent of acrylic paint and death hit her nose.
"In the flesh," he smirked, "Thanks for the loaner mate," Klaus said looking at Alaric. He then glanced at Diana who he noticed was purposely not looking at him. He leant forward and his lips brushed her ear, "Hello love. Miss me?"
She shivered slightly at the proximity between them before she retorted, "Not in the slightest," she met his sparkling sapphire eyes. His smirk wavered slightly not even for someone to notice but Diana did. She felt somewhat smug.
"Any reason to stop by," Damon inquired after watching them annoyed.
"I'm told you and your brother fancy my doppelganger. Just thought I'd remind you not to do anything you regret," Klaus turned his attention to the older Salvatore twin.
Damon laughs before wincing at the memory of what happened this morning, "Thanks for the advice."
"Ok, now that we've had this talk you can go. Bye Nik," Diana chipped in.
"I don't suppose I could talk you into a postponement by any chance, huh?" Damon wondered aloud with a cocky smirk.
Klaus laughed, "You are kidding," when no one else laughed he looked at Diana and Alaric, "He is kidding right?"
"No not really," Alaric sighed.
"He is. Twiny over here can't wait for you to bite into Elena, and neither can I," Diana said excitedly.
"I take it you don't like her."
"She's a whiny annoying brother-switching bitch. She irritates me to no end," Diana told him.
"I mean come on. What's one more month in the whole grand scheme of things?" Damon interjected. Klaus looked away from Diana.
"Let me be clear. I have my vampire. I have my werewolf. I have everything I need. The ritual will happen tonight. So if you want to live to see tomorrow don't screw it up," Klaus gloated. "Ana could I talk to you."
"I don't know can you," She said sarcastically.
"Please."
"Bye Nik," Diana waved off. Klaus sighed and sped off. When he left Alaric who was quiet for a while spoke up, "You're going to mess it up aren't you."
"Think if I took his werewolf out of the equation she might get over the fact that I tried to turn her into a vampire," Damon asked sheepishly.
"I think it won't matter because you'll be dead," Alaric replied.
"But without the werewolf, he can't perform the ritual tonight which means that'll provide one month before the next full moon."
"But you'll still be dead," Alaric chided.
"Are you gonna help me or what?" Damon questioned.
"What do you want me to do?"
Damon glanced at Diana who was zoned out swirling the bourbon in her glass, "Ana are you even listening?"
"Yes it just takes me a while to process so much stupid all at once," she replied. Damon glared at her whilst Alaric stifled a laugh.
"Do what you want Dames, I'm going to sort out my closet until the ritual. Don't get yourself killed." Diana waltzed out of the grill and sped away towards the boarding house.

It was now night time and an excited yet nervous pit grew in Diana's stomach. She felt as if something was going to happen. To her specifically. Since leaving the grill she had sorted out her closet and tossed clothes she didn't want into a giant pile near her door. She thought about giving it to Elena as the girl had no style whatsoever but decided against it as she didn't want the doppelgänger wearing clothes she had previously worn. She had received a call from Klaus about Damon so she sped over to Alaric's apartment.
She threw the door open and entered, "Honey I'm home," she saw Damon on the floor with his neck snapped and Katherine and Klaus standing above him.
"What did you do to my twin?"
Klaus shrugged, "He messed with my plans," Diana nodded, "That reminds me, Katerina. I need you to lure out the aunt so I can use her as my vampire." Diana immediately protested.
"No. Jenna is one of the only people I like in this retched town. Well besides Caroline even though she is a bit much sometimes."
"Well I need a vampire, love," Klaus argued.
"So we turn someone off the streets. Jenna's not dying."
They continued to argue for a moment. Diana was silently plotting to break Jenna out so she agreed. Klaus smirked satisfied and Katherine went to call Jenna.
"Now that, that's sorted let's go, love," Klaus shrugged on his jacket.
Diana nodded thoughtfully, "I'll catch up."
Klaus nodded in response and kissed her forehead before leaving. Katherine looked at Diana, "What are you plotting?"
"There's no way Jenna is dying in that sacrifice. So I'm going to turn someone and they're going to take her place," Diana explained before speeding out and grabbing the first person she saw. The man she grabbed was young, lightly built and had curly brown hair.
"What the hell?" He exclaimed as she sped him to the boarding house.
"You're not going to complain or talk and when Nik rips out your heart your not going to make a sound," Diana compelled. He repeated her last sentence before she shoved her bleeding wrist into his mouth and snapped his neck.
