Chapter Twenty; Proof

I tumbled to the floor, groaning in pain as Minho's fist connected with my stomach. I winced as I sat up, the man coming over towards me, towering above me just like Namjoon did. Namjoon hadn't even spoken to me since I had decided to fight here, he hadn't even looked this entire time. Seokjin had told me it was just because he was worried about me. But I need to show him that I could fight for myself and that he didn't have to worry as much as he did.

"You're distracted, why should we fight for someone that can't even focus on one person?" He hummed, staring at me. His eyes dark with slight blood lust as I barely managed to prop myself up. "I don't know why they brought you in. You're worthless. You should've died or been left with Big Bang-"

"Just ignore him!" Jungkook yelled out, startling me at first. "He's just saying it all to provoke you!"

"You're doing great Min!" Hoseok also yelled out, and I turned quickly to see the six boys pressed up against the fencing. Hope shining in their eyes. "Keep fighting. He's hurting already, just keep doing what you do and you'll show everyone!"

With that I found the strength to push myself to my feet, spitting the blood that was pooling in my mouth out. "They're lying. They are pretending that they care for you." The words he spoke hurt more than the punches he threw. He swung his punch  once more which connected with your jaw, sending me tumbling to the floor once more. "You're nothing to them. They see you as disposable." He kicked me in my stomach, causing me to splutter and gasp air down my lungs as the tears finally decided to roll.

"Y-You're lying..." I choked out.

"If that's the case, why is one of them not even paying attention to you?" He grabbed me by my hair and dragged me to my knees, showing the boys my brusied, bloodied face. "They don't care. Nobody cares about you Min."

"I care." A voice spoke and my eyes widened. "I believe you can defeat him, you haven't given up yet and that's what counts. Show them what you can do."

"Namjoon..." I croaked, a small smile tugging at my lips.

"Finish this fight and I'll tell you something I should've told you before." He pushed his way into a gap, holding onto the bars of the fence with both his hands. "You can do it. I believe in you."

Those were some of the most reassuring words I could've heard at this point, and I smiled meeting eyes with him as Minho threw me to the floor again. I prepared myself for it this time, and recovered quicker than anyone would've expected.

"People do care about me Minho." I stretched out, wiping my bloodied nose with the back of my hand. "And I care about them, and you have most definitely pissed me off."
