Chapter Nineteen; Rumour Mill
Nearly half a year of training I had done with the boys, and since they took me away from Big Bang we hadn't heard a peep from them since. They hadn't attacked another gang, they hadn't even shown their faces as one unit, only as their individual selves. I sighed gently, resting my head on Jin's lap and my legs hung over Yoongi's lap. It set me on edge, the fact that they hadn't attacked yet, whether that was the boys and myself, or anybody in general. It meant that they were likely planning something big that they couldn't risk hurting themselves over. The thought continued to play on my mind until Jin snapped me out of it by flicking the side of my head.
"Are you planning on moving anytime soon?"
"Who's asking?"
"Me."
"Then no." I laughed pulling tongues and staring the eldest in the eye. He simply glared, muttering something under his breath that I couldn't hear, even from this close proximity, before his eyes drifted back to the TV.
When the other boys returned, they had serious looks on their faces which simply set me more on edge than it did before. I sat up.
"Fucking finally." Jin teased before I lightly punched his arm with a laugh, and I looked at the boys who gathered around and sat about, leaving Namjoon to talk.
"We heard a rumour going around today whilst we were out." He started. "No one had heard anything off Big Bang since SUJU attacked and we removed Min from their care. It's been five months since that day, and no body had even been attacked. Rumours are going around that Big Bang are planning something to take down as many gangs as possible. This includes us. The list follows as SUJU, EXO, BTS, Shinee and quite a few others. They've got outside help for this."
"That does not sound good..." I whispered, this having been my first official... whatever it was.
"It's not. But we can handle it. We've been training for half a year with you, you know us and we know you." Yoongi smiled gummily. "So what's the plan?"
"I think that we're currently speaking to a few of the gangs on the list, if they agree we'll all put up camp at a warehouse on the outskirts of town. The larger we are as a group, the higher chance of less casualties and many more less fatalities." Jungkook hummed, reaching over to the snack bowl Jin and Yoongi had prepped for whilst we watched TV.
"You sound uneasy about that." Jin hummed.
"Yes. Unfortunately, they want to see what's worth fighting for." Hoseok looked over at me. "We pissed them off over you, now they're pissed off at everyone who ever did them wrong, you're the cause of it."
"Oh-"
"I don't mean it in a horrible way, you couldn't help it!" Hoseok quickly blurted. "They want to see you fight, that's it."
"Oh, that's fine then. You have all trained me up-"
"I don't want you to do it, if that means we stand alone in this war then so be it."
"Namjoon, why not?"
"Because I'm not throwing you into the pit." He snapped. My eyes widened, 'the pit' was something you only ever heard about in stories. A warehouse on the outskirts of the city had been done up by past generations of gangs, where people came and bet on who would survive the blood bath-
"You don't have to if you don't want to." Jimin smiled softly, resting a hand on my knee.
"But if you want to, none of us can stop you either." Taehyung glared at Namjoon, earning a glare straight back.
I looked over the seven men before taking a deep breath.
"I'll do it." My voice was barely above a whisper. I had decided that I would be strong and protect those I cared about no matter the cost. If that meant taking myself into the place only horror stories came from, then so be it. I'd show everyone I was worth fighting for, worth fighting alongside.
Namjoon's eyes held disappointment as he stood up and left.
