Author's Note

When I first started writing Princess Gisella, I wanted the type of love story I had formulated in my head. I wanted the type of love story where the two characters would dance around at midnight and kiss one another in the rain. But as I started writing Alexander and Gisella's story, I realized their love wasn't perfect, it wasn't even close to the perfect love story. Their love was like a hurricane, a tornado that sweeps you off your feet and makes you feel lost and confused. It was radiant, and much more beautiful than what I had originally intended for it to be. I realized that no love story is a true love story without some problems and hardship, it wouldn't be real love. These characters will go through pain. And that's because love hurts. What a stereotypical thing to say, correct? However it has been the most real thing to ever be said about love. Through the beauty, it hurts in the end. Love hurts.

Synopsis

Gisella Weldier is an orphan of the Rosenill Region, a commoner who has known nothing of luxury. Growing up not knowing what happened to her biological parents, Gisella has learned the ways of an assassin, those not common in the Rosenill Region and certainly not in Piriza.

Gisella is given the mission to assassinate the crowned prince, Alexander Ragnor. However, upon stumbling into the prince during a ball, Gisella cannot seem to kill him. The castle is under attack only moments later and Gisella is whisked away into hiding with the prince and his family.

Upon finding out her identity, the king allows Gisella to live, as long as she spies on the assassins, in exchange for information on what happened to her family and marriage to the crowned prince.

Now known as Princess Gisella, long lost princess of Conterna, Gisella finds herself torn between two worlds; the world of her past where she belongs, and the world of her future where she is bound to mess up. Gisella feels she is bound to get caught. Only time will tell.

Notes

1. If you are looking for the perfect book with no grammatical or spelling errors, this book is not for you. I am not the perfect writer, and I will say that a thousand times if I have to. I make mistakes... a lot and sometimes I don't catch them. I will make a mistake with grammar or I will spell a word wrong or I will even get a character's name wrong. Remember that there is a difference between constructive criticism and just plain criticism. Constructive is welcome. If you see a mistake, politely point it out. Thank you.

2. This is not a happy story. The characters will be in pain and cause pain. This is an intense story that will put you on a seriously long emotional roller coaster. I wanted Alexander and Gisella's love story to be true, not perfect.

3. This is the first book the Princess series. I already have at least three other books thought up, maybe four. Originally Princess Charlotte was going to be the first book in the series but I decided I wanted the kingdoms in which these princess reside to live in regions and kingdoms that are fantasy, made up but Charlotte was from England. With that said, most of the places in this book are indeed made up.
