   Evie stared at herself in the mirror as she finished her lip gloss. Tonight she was going out with Everleigh and Madison for a girls night. She felt awkward about going out, she hadn't really been out since her breakup.

It was a difficult breakup. Jackson was her first love. Everyone had their issues about Evelyn and Jackson because of their 4 year age gap but neither of them cared what people thought. She was so in love with him and they were so happy until he started to drift apart from her..

The memories of that dreadful day played in her head for months.

"Eve."

She looked over at the window and saw Caden there. She rolled her eyes and walked over, she opened the window and smiled at him "I thought we got over the phase when you sneak into my room through a window and went through the door like adults?" She questioned with a chuckle. Caden crawled through the window, he sat on the bed and raised an eyebrow "Since when have I been known to be an adult?" 

He looked at her, noticing her outfit and makeup. "Are you going somewhere?" He asked as she looked at herself in the mirror. His eyes wandered as he looked at her up and down. She turned to him and sat next to him, "The girls and I are going out tonight. Madison thought it would be a good idea for me to start looking again." She explained slipping on her shoes. Caden looked at her outfit, "Maybe you should put on a jacket or something with more coverage?" He asked, Evie turned to him and looked at him confused.

Evie looked down at her dress with a frown, "Why? Do you not like-" He shook his head quickly at her. "N-No you look amazing. That's the problem. No one will be able to keep their hands off you and I don't want that." She felt her confusion as she heard the end of that sentence. Caden stared into her brown eyes, "Why do you care?" She asked.

As he was about to open his mouth, there was a knock on the door. Evie sighed, "That must be the girls." She said.
