You did it, bro!
Ch-54
Hoseok, the group leader, led the way through the dense forest, his gaze fixed on the path ahead. The sky was still light, but darkness was slowly enveloping the surroundings. Behind him, Annalise, Jungkook, Daisy, Taehyung, and Aurora followed closely, their gazes shifting between the surroundings and Hoseok's confident stride.
Hoseok turned slightly to address the group, his voice cutting through the silence of the forest. "Do any of you see anything unusual?" he inquired, his eyes scanning their surroundings. Annalise, Jungkook, Daisy, Taehyung, and Aurora looked around, straining their senses to detect anything out of the ordinary.
Taehyung, his eyes focused on the environment, spoke up, a sense of disquiet obvious in his voice. "Something feels wrong in this forest," he said, his words hanging in the air. Jungkook regarded him with a puzzled expression, asking, "How do you know?" Hoseok added his query, turning his attention to Taehyung for clarification "What is wrong here?"
"I just think.. I am getting a feeling that it's wrong" Taehyung said, looking around the dark forest with long trees. He continued, his gaze still scanning the dark forest and the tall trees surrounding them. "I can't quite explain it, but my instincts are telling me something's off," he said, his voice tinged with a mix of caution and unease. The others exchanged glances, their curiosity piqued by Taehyung's observation, as they continued to tread cautiously through the woods.
Taehyung closed his eyes, trying to focus and pinpoint the source of his uneasiness. After a moment, he spoke, "It's hard to explain, but I have a sense that danger is nearby..." Hoseok listened intently as Taehyung spoke, understanding the gravity of his words. "Can you tell anything more?" Hoseok inquired. "About where you are feeling it's wrong?"
They followed Taehyung's pointing, the group's eyes widened in shock to realize that they were now facing a massive fire in the middle of the forest. The flames danced in the darkness, lighting up the night and illuminating the surrounding area in a sinister glow. Hoseok gazed upon the inferno with a mixture of surprise and concern, knowing that they were getting close to something dangerous.
"We need to stop this fire" Annalise said, getting ready to stop it. She and Jungkook, their powers over water being complementary, quickly agreed to tackle the task together. Annalise, her eyes focused on the raging fire, nodded to Jungkook, requesting his assistance. "Jungkook, help me with this," she said, her voice steady and determined. Jungkook nodded, standing beside Annalise, prepared to unleash their joint power over water.
Hoseok, aware of the potential risks involved, issued a stern warning to Jungkook. "Jungkook, be careful," he cautioned, his voice firm. "You haven't used your powers before." Hoseok's concern was valid, as the task ahead required precision and control, especially considering Jungkook's inexperience with his newfound powers. Despite this, Jungkook remained unflinching and determined.
Annalise, with her powers, can fly around and pour water. She flew and tried to stop the fire. Jungkook also tried helping, but his capabilities were still not in his control. "Tae, go and help your brother" Hoseok whispered.
Taehyung immediately understood Hoseok's whispered instruction and nodded before rushing over to Jungkook, who was struggling with his water abilities. Meanwhile, Hoseok, taking on the responsibility to control the fire, raised his arms towards the flames, his eyes narrowing in concentration. He channeled his power as a fire prince, focusing on containing and subduing the raging inferno that threatened their surroundings.
Aurora looked at somewhere and ran towards taehyung, "tae.. You can do this.. You can stop this fire" Taehyung, shocked and surprised, looked at his hands and then fire. He closed his eyes, assuring himself he can do this, and then opened them. He didn't notice the yellow flicker of light in his hands and he used Jungkook's water powers as he was unable to use them.
With his both hands, he took control of the water and successfully extinguished half of the fire, much to his own surprise and the surprise of the others. Hoseok, his voice filled with pride, exclaimed, "You did it, bro!" The group watched in wonder as the fire was gradually brought under control through Taehyung's remarkable display of newfound abilities.
Annalise screamed suddenly and they all widened their eyes. With the help of jungkook and taehyung, they extinguished the fire but Annalise burnt her arm. Hoseok's voice filled with concern as he hurried to Annalise's side, taking her in his arms.
"Anna, look at me," he urgently reiterated, his tone reflecting the gravity of the situation. He held her close, his eyes flickering down to her burnt arm, the evidence of her injury. Hoseok's grip tightened around her, a mix of worry and desperation evident on his face.
Daisy moved closer and placed her hand on Annalise's burnt arm, the group watched, knowing she possesses healing powers. Annalise gritted her teeth against the pain, her injured arm held in Daisy's gentle yet firm grasp. The group exchanged glances, a mix of surprise and relief at Daisy's unexpected ability. Hoseok looked visibly more relieved, hoping that Daisy could alleviate Annalise's pain and restore her arm to health.
Hoseok held Annalise closer, his embrace protective and comforting, Daisy continued to focus on healing her sister's injured arm. The group watched in silent anticipation, their gazes alternating between Daisy and Annalise. Time seemed to stand still as Daisy's healing powers slowly worked to mend Annalise's burnt skin and restore her arm to its normal state. Hoseok's expression was a mixture of worry and hope, silently praying that Daisy's skills would be enough to ease Annalise's pain.
They widened their eyes seeing a burning tree about to fall on them. With his powers, taehyung immediately stopped it. And Aurora, with her powerful hands, effortlessly split the tree into two parts. "Woah.. You are powerful?" Jungkook exclaimed. Others also surprised to see Aurora's powers as it was their first time witnessing it.
Jungkook couldn't resist the opportunity to tease his brother, his voice filled with a playful tone. "Tae, be careful. Your girlfriend is more powerful than you," he remarked, a smirk playing on his lips. Taehyung shot a quick glare at Jungkook, a mix of annoyance and affectionate irritation at his brother's playful comment. Meanwhile, Aurora stood there, silently enjoying the sibling banter, a small smile playing on her lips.
Hoseok tenderly stroked Annalise's hair, his touch gentle as he planted a soft kiss on her forehead. Daisy stood by her side, holding onto her sister's arm, her healing touch providing comfort and support as they waited for Annalise to regain consciousness. Hoseok's protective gaze never strayed far from Annalise, his love and concern evident in his unwavering gaze.
Annalise, her eyes drifting open, was greeted by the familiar and comforting gazes of her sister, Daisy, and Hoseok, her lover. A soft smile tugged at the corners of her lips, her heart filling with warmth at the sight of the people she loved most in this world. Despite the recent ordeal and the pain she had endured, Annalise found solace in their presence, a gentle reminder of the love and support that surrounded her.
Hoseok wrapped his arms around Annalise, his embrace tight and filled with relief. "Thank goodness," he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper as he ran a hand through her hair. Daisy, who had been silently holding her sister's arm, exhaled a long sigh, her worry and concern gradually giving way to a sense of comfort and relief. The air was charged with a mix of relief and tenderness, the love shared between the three palpable in the air.
Aurora's voice cut through the moment of quiet relief, as she posed a question that brought their attention back to the pressing matter at hand. "Okay, so where do we go now?" she inquired, addressing everyone. "This wasn't the only problem here, was it?'' The group nodded, silently acknowledging her words. The calm that had briefly settled among them was now replaced by a sense of determination and urgency, as they prepared to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
"Wait i think Diana was right" Annalise said, "this was indeed a trap.. So they could attack the castle while we are here" Everyone realized the depth of the situation. "We should go back. We can't dump all the problems at their heads. We don't even know how many of them are there. We need to head back" Jungkook said, "maybe Amelia, Luna and jimin must have saved Jin hyung" Hoseok said, "let's go back"
The group was just about to leave when a sudden sound halted their steps. Large footsteps could be heard approaching them, causing everyone to tense up. Hoseok's words hung in the air, but the approaching sound indicated that they might be in danger before they could reach the castle. The group exchanged worried glances, realizing that the situation had just taken a turn for the worse.
Daisy's whispered question cut through the tense atmosphere, as the group debated their options. "Should we run or face it?" she asked, her voice barely audible. The group went silent, weighing their options, as the footsteps grew louder, closing in on their position.
"We should face it. If we run, it will follow us and it will cause more problems to the castle" Annalise said, looking at hoseok who responded with a nod, silently agreeing with her assessment. The others glanced at each other, mentally preparing themselves for the confrontation ahead. It was a risky move, but given the potential consequences of running and leading the danger back to the castle, they knew they had no other choice but to stand their ground.
It was a big monster, even bigger than the long trees. "Daisy, if anything happens or if anyone gets injured, you will help us, okay?" Annalise softly said to her younger sister, "for now go into safety" Daisy nodded in agreement, understanding the importance of her role and the need to keep herself unharmed so she could assist her friends and family when needed.
With weapons drawn, the group stood ready to face the oncoming danger. The air was thick with tension, each one of them silently steeling themselves for the battle ahead. Hoseok, his stance firm and his expression resolute, took the lead, preparing to face the daunting challenge before them. The others, their expressions determined and their grips on their weapons tight, stood steadfastly behind him, their focus fixed on the approaching threat.
Jungkook's whisper echoed the group's collective feeling of horror at the colossal size of the monster before them. "It's so big," he murmured, his voice tinged with fear. Hoseok, standing next to him, responded with a determined whisper of his own. "Don't worry... We can face this," Hoseok assured him, his words punctuated by the clenching of his teeth, revealing the determination within.
The monster unleashed a fiery attack upon the group, but Hoseok, with his fire-made sword in hand, swiftly shielded them, deflecting the scorching flames with effortless ease. His weapon, crafted from fire, proved to be an effective defense against the intense heat, protecting himself and the others from harm.
Annalise and Jungkook threw water on the monster, Aurora helped Taehyung in fighting. Hoseok, observing the situation, spotted a potential weakness in the monster. He muttered to the others, drawing their attention. "I think his weakness is water," he stated, causing them to focus on his words.
Taehyung, realizing the danger Hoseok's fire sword would face if they attacked with water, quickly yelled out a warning. "Hyung, back off! Your sword will weaken if we attack with the water!" Hoseok, understanding the risk, quickly moved away from the direct line of attack.
The group, including Jungkook and Annalise, attacked the monster with water, working together to weaken the monstrous foe. Taehyung, with his ability to control water, was a crucial player in this strategy. By harnessing his powers, he helped to further weaken the monster, making it easier for them to continue their offensive. The monster, now facing resistance on multiple fronts, seemed to waver, visibly affected by the combined efforts of the group.
In the midst of the battle, Aurora's scream echoed through the air as she called out to Taehyung. Before anyone could react, however, Taehyung suddenly collapsed, unconscious in the moment of danger. Quick-witted Jungkook immediately sprang into action, swiftly retaliating against the monster to halt its attack on the unconscious Taehyung.
Jungkook, the youngest and protective of those he considered family, clenched his fists and spoke with determination. "I won't let you attack any of my brothers," he declared fiercely, shielding Taehyung's vulnerable form. A mix of protectiveness and anger fueled him, his focus solely on defending his unconscious older brother.
Aurora and Hoseok helped taehyung to get to safety where Daisy was. Her hands carefully tending to Taehyung, checked on him and asked Hoseok a question. "Is this his first time using powers?" Hoseok nodded in confirmation, and Daisy took note of his unconscious state.
"He passed out due to using excessive of powers," she diagnosed, her voice matter-of-fact. From her pocket, she extracted an antidote, gently urging Taehyung to drink it. "After finding out about my powers, I made this," she explained, "It will help heal his energy."
Jungkook and Annalise returned, their concern evident in their expressions as they inquired about Taehyung's status. "Is he alright?" Annalise asked, Daisy assured them, "He's alright." Hoseok, taking charge, interjected with a sense of urgency, "Let's head back. We can't afford to waste more of our time and energy." The group knew they had a mission to accomplish and time was of the essence. Staying any longer would only increase the risks they already faced.
