You became a demon?
Ch-58
Dracie appeared, her smirk growing wider as she directed her attacks towards Amelia. But Amelia agilely dodged her assaults, demonstrating her swift reflexes. "Hey sister, long time no see" Dracie said with a smirk. Amelia smirked back, "did you came here to realize you are losing the fight?" Dracie glares at her and sneered, "No, I didn't come to admit defeat. I simply wanted to witness your downfall." Annalise's observant eyes picked up on something amiss. She urgently called out to Amelia, "Amelia, there's something off about her." Amelia turned her attention towards Dracie, a hint of curiosity in her expression.
Dracie's smirk widened as she observed Amelia's momentary distraction. "You should know better than to let distractions get in the way of a fight," she taunted, her voice dripping with condescension. Amelia's voice filled with disbelief and anger as she shouted at Dracie. "You actually became a demon? Of all the things, you chose to become a creature of pure evil!"
Dracie's smirk transformed into a malevolent grin as she responded, "Oh, Amelia, you always were so naive. Becoming a demon was the best decision I've ever made." Amelia's anger intensified, her voice filled with determination. "You will live to regret the day you chose the path of a demon!" Dracie's voice seethed with venom and hatred as she retorted, "You underestimate my conviction. I will never falter in my chosen path."
Amelia's smirk widened as she retorted, "Mark my words, when the sun rises, you will be nothing but ashes. Your existence will be nothing but a distant memory." She added, "What you want will never be yours, you will also end up the same as your sister, Sophie" The mention of her sister's name, Sophie, made Dracie's muscles tense, and her expression twisted with anger. "How dare you speak my sister's name from your filthy tongue?" she roared, her voice filled with outrage.
Amelia's words cut deep, "Yes, I dare, because just like her, you've gone completely insane!" Dracie's anger erupted as she screamed at Amelia, "Shut your mouth!" Her attacks intensified, becoming more violent and furious. Amelia, however, managed to dodge them all, displaying her agility and finesse.
Jin and Blake engaged in a fierce battle, their swords meeting in an intense clash of anger and determination. Both combatants fought with unparalleled intensity, each strike more furious and determined than the previous one. Daisy and Isla worked swiftly within the palace, trying to heal the three brothers. Jimin's wings showed no signs of improvement, and Yoongi struggled to breathe. Meanwhile, Jungkook remained unconscious, motionless on the ground.
Taehyung continued fighting the demons in the forest, his powers surging through him. His abilities were heightened by being in close proximity to the natural environment, making it easier for him to combat the demonic forces.
Aurora effortlessly shattered the large object that was hurled towards the guards, and Annalise quickly thanked her. As Hoseok was unable to fight the fiery demons, Annalise and Aurora stepped in. Meanwhile, outside the castle, Diana, Namjoon, and Luna engaged in intense combat against the demons.
While the other fighters grappled with their own battles, Jin remained silently determined. He was the only one who knew the future, thanks to his divine prince lineage, and now he was fighting to prevent the tragic fate he had seen. Jungkook coughed furiously as Isla offered him water. She asked him worriedly, "Are you okay?" With a nod, Jungkook struggled to find his voice through the coughing fit.
Daisy, who was still tending to Yoongi, didn't have a moment to check on Jungkook. Jimin's wings were gradually improving as he stood up, but Daisy urged him to stay. "Where are you going? You can't leave," she said. Jimin, determined to join the fight, responded firmly, "I can't just sit here. I have to go." Daisy pleaded with him, her voice filled with concern. "Your brother... he has seen a vision. Please, don't go outside," she implored.
Jimin sat down next to Jungkook and asked, "Are you alright?" Jungkook, his gaze fixed on Jimin, who was positioned to block his view of Yoongi, quietly pleaded, "Let me see him, hyung." Jimin wrapped his arms around Jungkook in a comforting embrace and murmured, "Please, don't try to look at him." Jimin's voice cracked, and Jungkook responded in a soft whisper, "I remember that day."
Jimin looked at Jungkook, a hint of surprise in his expression. "T-that day? Which day?" he asked, seeking clarification. Jungkook's voice quivered as he tearfully responded, "Everything that happened 10 years ago." Jimin's gaze softened as he heard Jungkook's revelation. "You remember everything? You remember... eomma?" he repeated quietly. Jungkook nodded, his tears welling up, confirming his memories.
Jimin's heart was filled with disbelief and overwhelming joy. He wrapped his arms around Jungkook, holding him tightly, and softly whispered, "You remember everything. I can't even begin to express how happy this makes me feel. When you forgot everything, I was so scared." Jimin's voice trembled, as tears streamed down his face.
Jimin and Jungkook turned their attention towards Yoongi, who let out a weak whimper as he began to wake up. "Hyung," they both exclaimed in unison, hurrying to his side. Daisy spoke in a soft voice, "Please don't move," as she continued to heal Yoongi. He nodded slowly in acknowledgment, his movements restricted due to the ongoing healing process.
Yoongi opened his eyes just enough to speak to Jimin, his voice weak yet firm. "Why are you letting Jungkook watch?" he whispered. Jimin sighed, relief washing over him as he scolded, "You should worry about yourself right now! How can you be so careless?" Yoongi rolled his eyes, his face displaying annoyance. Jungkook offered a small, soft smile and asserted, "I am fine, hyung. Completely fine now." Yoongi's gaze softened, Jimin's words reached him, causing a mixture of confusion and surprise. "He remembers everything," Jimin repeated, a hint of relief and joy in his voice.
Jin panted heavily as he traded blows with Blake, who smirked tauntingly, "Getting tired already?" In response, Jin gritted his teeth and declared, "Never!" He swiftly unleashed another strike with his sword. Blake attempted to rile Jin up, taunting,
"Why aren't you protecting your brothers instead of fighting me? Don't you care for them?" But Jin's glare intensified as he retorted firmly, "Don't you dare bring them into this. You had the audacity to question whether I care about them? Even if I were to attempt to explain their importance to you, you wouldn't understand, because you're a heartless creature of pure evil."
Blake momentarily faltered at Jin's words, a faint memory resurfacing, and he clenched his jaw. "You..." he grinded out, before resuming their intense combat.
Jin's smirk widened as he taunted, "What happened? Did I hit a nerve?" Blake, his voice filled with anger, responded, "You have no idea what you brought up that you shouldn't have." Jin, undeterred, continued to taunt, "Did your heartless nature snatch someone from you?" Infuriated, Blake lashed out, yelling, "Shut your mouth!"
As Jin's taunts continued, they triggered a blurry memory in Blake's mind. A girl with brown hair, smiling at him, yet the scene was unclear. The memory stirred emotions within Blake, pain gripping his heart as he tried to push the memory aside. Despite the ache in his heart, Blake focused on the battle, struggling to compartmentalize the resurfacing memory while facing off against Jin.
Amelia and Dracie engaged in a fierce and intense battle, their moves and countermoves quick and powerful. Dracie sneered, her words filled with confidence, "You've got some skills, huh? But you won't win!" Amelia met her gaze with a steely glare, silently vowing not to be defeated. Luna approached Amelia, Dracie's taunting voice filled the air, "Oh, look who's here." Her tone was laced with mockery as she continued, "Back for more, are we?"
Luna leaned towards Amelia, whispering something cryptic. Upon hearing the whispered words, Amelia's eyes widened before a smirk tugged at her lips as she responded to Dracie, her voice filled with confidence, "seems like your companion isn't as powerful as he seems." "Interesting observation," Dracie replied with a hint of annoyance, "What are you talking about?" Luna's smirk widened, her gaze fixed on Dracie. "Oh, we've found his weakness," she taunted, a hint of satisfaction in her voice.
Dracie's eyebrows furrowed in confusion and irritation, her voice filled with skepticism. "His weakness? What on earth are you talking about?" Dracie's anger flared up even more as Amelia's voice dripped with cocky confidence. "Why should we tell you?" she retorted, her smirk growing wider. "It's our advantage to keep it a secret." Dracie was momentarily distracted, Luna and Amelia seized the opportunity to launch a coordinated attack, catching her off guard.
Dracie struggled to regain her composure, slightly taken aback by the unexpected attack. Her eyes narrowed as she spoke, her voice filled with annoyance. "You managed to catch me off guard once, but don't think it'll happen again." Luna spoke confidently, "It will, when your so-called partner will die!!" Dracie's frustration mounting, she countered, "And what makes you think you can defeat all of us? You're overestimating yourselves."
Amelia looked at Luna, nodding at her. Amelia and Luna stepped back, a smirk crept onto Dracie's face, assuming that they were intimidated. "Ah, so you're finally backing down," she said, her voice dripping with mockery. Luna took her clutch out which became a fan. Dracie chuckled dismissively as Luna took out her clutch, which transformed into a fan. "A fan? Really?" she taunted, clearly unimpressed.
Luna glanced at Amelia; she noticed her about to launch an attack. Without a moment's hesitation, Amelia sprung forward, lunging towards Dracie. Dracie was caught by surprise as Amelia lunged towards her, her guard momentarily dropped. As Dracie was caught off guard, Luna swiftly transformed her fan into a form that allowed her to wrap it around Dracie, restraining her movement.
Despite being held in a tight grip by Amelia and restrained by Luna's fan, Dracie chuckled darkly. Her voice dripped with a mixture of arrogance and confidence as she spoke, "You think this is going to stop me? You're more foolish than I initially thought." Luna smirked, "No it's you who is foolish" Luna added, "this is a medicine which will turn you back into human." Dracie's eyes widened in disbelief as Luna smirked, her words sinking in. "What did you say?" she demanded, her voice laced with a hint of panic. "This medicine will turn me back into human?"
"This fan is covered in that medicine which will take all your demonic powers and make you a human you once were, weaker than before" Luna said with a smirk, "we told you, we won't let you win" Dracie struggled desperately against the restraining grip and the fan covered in the medicinal solution. Frustration and desperation etched her face as she clawed at the fan, trying to break free. However, her attempts were in vain. Amelia's confident assertion hung in the air as she declared, "Keep trying, it won't break. No demon possesses the power to shatter this fan."
"You were the one who overestimated yourself." Luna said as they both backed away. Dracie experienced the effects of the medicinal solution, she let out a scream of pain. Her face contorted in agony, her body writhing in the grips of the transformation. Despite the pain, Dracie forced out her words, her voice filled with seething anger. "You... you think you've won? I... I won't be defeated so easily." Amelia and Luna watched Dracie's transformation with fierce expressions, their gazes filled with both anger and determination. Despite her pain and disbelief, Dracie struggled to maintain her defiant demeanor.
Amelia glanced towards Annalise, who motioned for Hoseok to step forward. Hoseok's eyes flared up with intensity, and he stretched out his hands, summoning a colossal inferno. Hoseok directed his hands towards Dracie, enveloping her in the scorching flames. The demonic fire blazed fiercely, consuming her as she lost her powers and transformed into a mortal. Dracie screamed as she felt herself burning.
Dracie's life flickered out before their eyes, both Luna and Amelia found themselves sighing, a mix of sorrow and resignation on their faces. In a quiet whisper, Luna murmured, "I wish you never chose that path." Despite the circumstances, the bond they shared as cousins tugged at their hearts. Hoseok and Annalise stood side by side, both gazing up at the sky as rain began to pour down heavily. The sudden rain seemed to amplify the somber atmosphere, as if the heavens were shedding tears along with them.
As the rain fell, the fiery demons that were once a formidable force started to burn and disintegrate into ashes. The water doused the flames that fueled their destructive power, leaving only trails of embers swirling through the air. This made it easier. The bigger demons started dying and the guards were able to fight the smaller ones.
Taehyung's urgent voice cut through the air, announcing, "There's a flood! The rain was so heavy that the lake water has overflowed!" The news hit them like a ton of bricks, adding another threat to their already chaotic situation. Annalise looked up, Hoseok held her hand, "nothing will happen" Annalise assured him before going towards the forest. Jungkook came out of the palace, Annalise noticed him.
She urgently called him out, "Jungkook, I need your help. We both have control over water. We can manage the flood." Jungkook nodded in agreement, ready to assist her. Taehyung approached Jungkook, offering his support by declaring, "I'll help you." With Taehyung's firm grip, he aided Jungkook in taking flight, preparing to confront the flood together.
Annalise shut her eyes, summoning her powers to take control of the flood water that threatened the palace. Alongside her, Jungkook, supported by Taehyung, channeled his abilities alongside her. Despite his inexperience compared to Annalise, Jungkook struggled to match her control. Taehyung, with a keen understanding of Jungkook's novice skills, decided to step in, using his own abilities. As someone equally inexperienced, Taehyung took charge of the water element. Leveraging his power over nature, he managed to halt the falling rain, working in tandem with Annalise and Jungkook to quell the ongoing crisis.
Taehyung lost his grip on Jungkook when he took control of water. Only to witness Jungkook unexpectedly flying. Jungkook looked up to smile at Taehyung who gave him a nod before flying to even higher. Taehyung propelled himself higher into the air, taking charge of the rain that had been brought to a halt. Jungkook positioned himself opposite Annalise, working together to form a water tornado. Observing their efforts, Taehyung quickly summoned his powers and transformed the water into small and thin particles, helping to further control and dissipate the floodwater.
This helped them both and soon enough the flood was stopped. Taehyung, realizing the limits of his control over nature, knew he could not maintain the weather alterations indefinitely. Addressing Annalise and Jungkook, he stated, "You two go. If anything happens, I will intervene to halt it." Despite the weariness evident in his voice, Taehyung remained resolute in his determination to step in if necessary.
