Ch-56

Standing together, they met the man's gaze with unwavering resolve. The man, still dripping arrogance, mockingly commented, "Oh, family reunited? How delightful," before his voice grew sinister once more, "but I will get what I want, and that is the heads of the kings." 

A determined expression on his face, Yoongi responded, "You think we will let you even reach them?" His clenched teeth betrayed his inner anger. "Oh, of course, I think that," the man retorted, a sinister smirk on his face before a swarm of demons started assaulting the castle. Jin swore under his breath, realizing their lack of preparation. "Shit, we didn't even prepare. We need to get ready with the guards," he muttered urgently. 

The man's mocking tone filled the air as he challenged them, "Yes, yes prepare, Mr. Prince, and then you will see the death of your father." In response, Diana hurled a barrage of crystal swords while Yoongi, working in sync with her, unleashed beams of electric with deadly precision. 

Yoongi's electric beams, merging with Diana's crystal swords, produced a massive, crackling beam of energy. The powerful collision of their powers formed a deadly combination, creating a potent weapon that they aimed at the man. The man, undeterred, vanished from their sight with a smirk, inciting frustration in the group. Namjoon, recognizing the urgency to stop the man, exclaimed, "We can't let him escape!" 

With Jin departed to rally the guards, Yoongi, as the second oldest, firmly grasped the lead. Looking at everyone, he issued his orders, "Jimin, you and Taehyung go find that man. Don't let any demon into the castle, understood, everyone?" The group nodded in understanding, ready to carry out their tasks in the ongoing battle. Diana, her voice filled with determination, expressed the gravity of their situation. "We need to fight. We need to go out now. Even if it's dangerous," she asserted, emphasizing the urgent need for action despite the impending danger. 

Namjoon, analyzing the situation, commented, "I think their main focus is on the kings." Isla, adding her insight, interjected, "We need to keep them restricted outside the palace." One by one, they reached out and placed their hands on top of Namjoon's, forming a tight group. He spoke, his voice filled with determination, "We can do this," and the moment was cemented. United in their resolve, they stood ready to face the challenges ahead. 

Suddenly, a demon attacked from above, only to be swiftly countered by Amelia's expert blade skill. The demon fell to the ground behind the castle wall, and with a flick of her wrist, the blade returned to her grasp. Amelia, her voice firm and determined, declared, "I will make sure they don't enter through the walls." 

Jimin, utilizing his flight abilities, moved around the castle, searching both for the elusive man and ensuring the castle's security. Simultaneously, Taehyung, harnessing the powers of nature, cleverly used branches to open doors and explored the interiors, making sure every nook and corner was covered. 

Jin, hurrying upstairs to the terrace of the castle, was met with the sight of the guards engaged in a fierce battle against the demons that had reached that level. Without a moment's hesitation, he unsheathed his sword and joined the fray, swiftly cutting down the demon that was poised to harm a guard. Turning to the guard, he asked with concern, "Are you alright?" 

Jin turned to the other demons and started fighting them. His eyes went on Jimin who was flying around, now throwing his arrows at the demons. "Jimin go and fight with others. I will handle here" Jin said, fighting with the demons. Jimin hesitated but he knew he can trust his elder brother and flew from there, unexpectedly catching the man who was on the wall, just beside the window of a room where the king was sitting with the queen. "I won't let you" Jimin shouted, throwing his arrows at him. Wong heard it, coming towards the window. "Father!! Close the curtains!! Now" Jimin yelled. Wong immediately nodded.

"Tae!! He is here" Jimin called out. Jimin and Taehyung, now both on the same level as the man, closed in on him, their anger palpable as they fixed their gazes on him. In a whispered exchange, Jimin spoke, "Let's end it here," to which Taehyung silently nodded in agreement. The man, his smirk unfazed, mockingly responded, "Yes, end me if you can." As Jimin and Taehyung launched a synchronized assault on the man, he showcased impressive speed and agility, effortlessly dodging their attacks while simultaneously laughing in a sinister manner. 

Jimin, surprised by his brother's newfound powers, inquired, "Woah! I thought you only discovered your powers today?" Taehyung, his face reflecting a mix of determination and discovery, responded confidently, "I did, but I also found out that my powers aren't ordinary and they can withstand cursed energies." Taehyung, recognizing the vulnerability of Jimin's wings, urged him, "And I know your wings get hurt if they touch you, so stay behind me whenever he tries to target you" Jimin, trusting his brother's words, nodded in agreement. 

The man, seeing Taehyung's protective gesture towards Jimin and hearing his statement, sneered in response, "Oh, how sweet, protecting your brother. You shouldn't have said that. Now I'll definitely go after his wings." The man, seizing an opening, lunged at Jimin with lightning speed, catching him off guard and leaving him immobilized. Taehyung, thinking quickly, used his branches to pull the man back, ensnaring him in their grasp. However, the man's attack grazed Jimin, causing him to lose his balance. Taehyung, torn between holding the man and saving his brother, stood in a dilemma, realizing that he couldn't leave the man free but also worried about Jimin's impending fall. 

Jin, his gaze fixed upward, spotted Jimin falling from a tremendous height. With a panicked cry, he shouted, "Jimin!!" The others, their attention caught by Jin's sudden exclamation, looked up to behold the sight of Jimin plummeting from the towering heights. Luna, in a flash, turned to Diana and urgently called out, "Diana!" Diana promptly understood the situation, swiftly hurling a crystal piece at the precise moment as Jimin neared the ground. Yoongi, quick to react, propelled himself onto the crystal shard and managed to safely catch Jimin before he reached the ground.

Just as they were about to summon Daisy for assistance, they heard Jin's urgent warning from the terrace. "3'o clock!" Luna, reacting swiftly, glanced to her side and spotted a demon poised to attack Daisy. Acting swiftly, she lunged at the demon, intercepting the impending attack. "Daisy, head towards the others!" Luna shouted, battling the demon while simultaneously issuing orders. Daisy nodded in understanding but winced as she tried to move, revealing that she had sustained an injury to her leg.

With a quick sidelong glance, Annalise's eyes widened with horror as she spotted a giant, formidable-looking demon menacingly approaching Daisy. In a blink, Jungkook observed the imminent danger facing Daisy and responded swiftly, nimbly scooping her up in his arms and moving her to safety. Afterwards, he asked with a hint of worry in his voice, "Are you alright?" She nodded; he noticed the demon lunging towards them.

Before he could come up with a plan, Aurora intervened deftly, delivering a forceful punch to the towering demon. In quick succession, Luna followed up, swiftly decapitating the creature with her razor-sharp fan. She promptly shouted, "Take Daisy towards Jimin!" Jungkook, understanding the urgency, readily grasped Daisy and hurriedly moved her towards Jimin. 

Daisy swiftly took a seat beside Jimin, her focus shifted to healing his severely burned wings. Yoongi lifted his gaze to observe Taehyung's ongoing struggle with the mysterious man. With a firm command, Yoongi instructed Jungkook, "Keep them protected." Without a moment's hesitation, Yoongi launched himself upwards, preparing to engage the man in a fierce battle. The intense clash continued, pitting the man's cursed powers against Taehyung's fiery nature magic, only to be interrupted by Yoongi's crackling electric beams. Undeterred, the man stood his ground, battling back with a determined effort, refusing to yield. 

The man, a sinister smile playing on his lips, issued a menacing threat, declaring, "I'll burn you both and eliminate your brothers as well." Determination etched on his face, Yoongi clenched his jaw firmly, retorting, "We won't allow you to do that." With a hint of defiance, the man asked, "Who are you to tell me what I can and can't do?" In response, a smirk tugged at Yoongi's lips. He retorted confidently, "Someone who's about to put an end to your existence, today." 

Taehyung, a subtle smirk playing on his face, discreetly whispered to Yoongi, "I have to admit, seeing you show such confidence is impressive, hyung." Yoongi, reciprocating the smirk, replied, "And I like it when you acknowledge my determination." Enraged, the man clenched his teeth in anger and declared, "Let's see whose life comes to an end today!" He lunged at them. Both Yoongi and Taehyung braced themselves, ready to launch a fierce attack in response.

Amelia surveyed the surroundings and called out to Annalise; concern etched on her face. "Has anyone seen Dracie?" she inquired. "If she is leading the group, she should be somewhere hidden, waiting for the right moment to strike." Annalise acknowledged Amelia's observation, agreeing with her assessment. "Yeah, you're right," she said. "Dracie won't come out in the open without a fight. We need to be careful." 

Diana chimed in, pointing out the formidable opponent facing Taehyung and Yoongi. "The man they're fighting appears to be quite powerful," she noted. "He's likely Dracie's companion who has been with her this whole time." 

Luna locked eyes with Amelia, an unspoken understanding passed between them. Luna nodded, and Amelia, after a moment of reluctance, gave a slight indication of agreement. In a hushed tone, Luna mouthed, "It's him." Hearing this revelation, Amelia called out to the others, her voice ringing with gravitas. "That demon is the same one who stood by Dracie's sister in the ten-year-old war," she declared. Shock and disbelief washed over everyone present, except Luna.

Taehyung, his voice low, muttered to Yoongi, "It is him." Yoongi, his jaw tightened, nodded in response. Blake, the man they were facing, heard the exchange and confirmed their suspicions. He smiled darkly, revealing himself to be Blake, the very same demon who had supported Sophie in the past war. Mockingly, he asked, "Indeed, it is me. I stood by Sophie's side then, and now I'm supporting Dracie. So what? What do you all plan to do about it?"  

With unwavering determination, Yoongi responded bluntly, "Our plan is simple. We're going to eliminate you, your army, and Dracie as well." Blake's laughter echoed sinisterly through the air, a chilling sound that sent shivers down the spines of those present. His voice dripped with malice as he spoke, "You think you can defeat me and my army so easily? You are sorely mistaken. We will not be so easy to dispose of." 

"And you are underestimating us. We will eliminate each of you to protect our kingdoms and our people" Yoongi smirked. "Underestimating you? Hardly." Blake sneered. "You think you have the power to annihilate me and my army? You'll soon learn the hard way how weak you truly are." A dark chuckle escaped Yoongi's lips as he challenged Blake. "Let's see then," he said, preparing to attack. In a swift motion, Yoongi made the first move, lunging at Blake who responded in kind. A fierce battle ensued, with both combatants locked in an intense struggle. Amidst the chaos, Yoongi called out to Taehyung, "Tae, go and assist the others!"

Taehyung nodded, flying towards the terrace, attacking a demon against whom Jin was fighting.  Jin protested, "You didn't need to save me." Taehyung shrugged, a chuckle escaping his lips. "So? Should I just stand and watch while a demon attempts to consume my hyung?" Jin rolled his eyes, Taehyung just chuckled until his expression turned serious, his eyes darkened with concern.

"Jungkook," he muttered, his eyes trained on the scene below, where Jungkook was engaged in a fierce battle against two demons. Daisy found herself weaponless, and Jimin's wings were still healing, leaving him in a state of weakness. In the midst of it all, Jungkook valiantly shielded them both.
