Constant Bickering

Ch-27

With a playful smirk, Amelia walked up to Jin, mischief glinting in her eyes. "Good morning, Princey," she greeted, her voice dripping with sarcasm. He rolled his eyes, "What do you want?" he asked, annoyed. She pouted, "I greeted you, you should greet back" Jin let out an exaggerated sigh, not surprised by her antics. "Fine. Good morning, Princess," he said, his voice dripping with feigned sweetness.

Amelia grinned, clearly pleased with his response. "See, that wasn't so hard now, was it?" She took a step closer to him, her eyes dancing with mischief. "I know you are here just to irritate me, let me tell you, it's not working" He said sarcastically, she laughed, "you are the worst liar ever" Jin couldn't help but smirk at her words. She was right; he was terrible at hiding his irritation with her. "You're as annoying as ever, you know that?" he retorted, a hint of amusement in his voice. She glared at him, "what did you say?" Jin raised an eyebrow, completely unfazed by her glare. "I said, you're as annoying as ever," he repeated, a hint of a smirk on his lips.

Amelia's glare intensified, clearly not amused by his nonchalance. "I'll show you annoying," she threatened, taking a step closer to him. He looked at her, "what are you doing?" Amelia smirked, her eyes glinting mischievously. "Oh, nothing. Just preparing to irritate you even more," she said, her voice dripping with mock innocence.

Jin raised an eyebrow, clearly skeptical of her intentions. "And how do you plan to do that?" He sighed, "when will you grow up, huh?" Amelia let out a playful gasp, feigning shock. "Are you calling me immature, Your Highness?" she said, putting her hand over her chest in mock dismay. Jin rolled his eyes once again, clearly exasperated by her antics. "Yes, yes I am. You act like a child, pestering me at every chance you get."

"And what about you, huh? You are the oldest, yet you still fight with me" she raised her eyebrows at him. Jin let out a huff of frustration. "I only fight with you because you irritate me! You have a knack for getting under my skin," he retorted, his voice betraying a hint of annoyance. "Fine" she shrugs, "I won't irritate you anymore" As Amelia turned away to leave, a flicker of surprise crossed Jin's face. For a moment, he thought she was just playing another prank on him. But then, he found himself reaching out to stop her. "Wait, where are you going?" he asked, a mix of confusion and curiosity in his voice.

Amelia smirked but didn't let him know about her prank. "I am not talking to you anymore" she spoke, with sadness in her voice. Jin's eyes widened slightly as he heard the hint of sadness in her voice. He had expected her to respond with her usual sarcasm or smirk, but her tone caught him off guard. "What do you mean you're not talking to me anymore?" he asked, a touch of bewilderment in his voice.

"What you heard was the truth.. now I won't talk or irritate you anymore" her voice sounded like she was going to cry. Jin's expression softened as he noticed her voice quivering slightly, as if she was holding back tears. He cursed himself silently for not seeing through her act. He took a step closer to her, a hint of concern in his eyes. "Amelia... don't be ridiculous. You can't just suddenly decide not to talk to me anymore," he said, his voice softer than before.

Amelia was shocked when his tone softened. She turned around and looked at him, "Are you really worried?" Jin's eyebrow quirked up in surprise at her question. "Worried? Why would I be worried?" he replied, trying to sound nonchalant. But deep down, he couldn't deny that there was a pang of concern in his chest. He didn't like the idea of her not talking to him anymore, even though he often acted like he couldn't stand her pestering. "Stop lying, Mr. liar" Jin let out a sigh, unable to keep up his facade.

"Alright, fine. I might be a little bit worried," he admitted, averting his gaze slightly. "Happy now?" She nodded with an amusing expression. "Now why are you laughing?" he asked. Amelia stifled a laugh, her eyes glinting mischievously. "Oh, I'm just enjoying the fact that you actually admitted to being worried about me," she teased. "You might be catching feelings for me, Princey."

He widened his eyes, "wait right now you were crying and now laughing? Was that a prank?" Amelia's amused expression widened into a full-blown smile. "Bingo," she confirmed, a hint of cheeky satisfaction in her voice. "You fell for it hook, line, and sinker." He let out a sigh of frustration and glared at her. Amelia chuckled, clearly enjoying the effect she had on him.

"Oh, come on, don't give me that look," she said, feigning innocence. "It was just a little prank. Can't you take a joke?" Deep down, he was relieved that it was a joke, but he still felt angry towards her for doing this. Although he didn't say anything and stared at her softly. She stopped laughing as she saw him staring. "Don't stare. It's creepy" his expression changed as well. He cleared his throat, "I wasn't staring at you"

Amelia smirked once again, clearly taking pleasure in his reaction. "Oh, please. You were totally staring. I could feel your gaze boring into me," she teased, her voice dripping with amusement. He glared at her in annoyance, "Whatever." Amelia chuckled at his glare, thoroughly enjoying getting under his skin. "Oh, don't give me that look. You know you love our little banter sessions," she taunted, her voice laced with playful sarcasm.

"I am going to throw you out of this window. Shut up!!" he said, annoyed. Amelia's eyes widened in mock shock. "Oh my, threatening violence now, are we? How princely of you," she responded, feigning fear. "But you wouldn't dare, would you, Princey?"

He cursed under his breath, "what should I do for you to leave this room?" Amelia pretended to ponder for a moment, a sly smile plastered on her face. "Well, let's see... You could kneel before me and beg for mercy, or perhaps serenade me with a love song," she suggested, her eyes glinting with amusement. He widened his eyes in disbelief, "You think I would do that?" Amelia chuckled, clearly enjoying his reaction. "Nope, not really. But a girl can dream, right?" she said, feigning disappointment. "But seriously, there is one way you could possibly convince me to leave this room."

He folded his arms, "And what is it?" Amelia's smirk widened as she caught him in her trap. "It's quite simple, really," she began, her voice filled with innocence. "All you have to do is admit that you were indeed staring at me earlier." His expression changed and he looked away, "what the heck! I wasn't even staring." Amelia let out a mock gasp, putting her hand over her heart in exaggerated shock. "Oh my, such denial coming from the great Prince Jin himself. You're truly breaking my heart," she said dramatically, feigning hurt. He was clearly getting more annoyed by her. "Get! Out!"

Amelia couldn't help but laugh at his growing frustration. But she decided that she had teased him enough for now. "Alright, alright, I'll stop messing with you," she said, holding up her hands in surrender. "I'll leave you to pout and brood in peace." He glared at her. Amelia chuckled, amused by his glaring. "What's that look for? You should be thanking me for sparing your royal ears from my 'irritating' presence," she teased.

"Oh, so should i say thanks for that?" His voice filled with sarcasm. Amelia pretended to think for a moment, her voice dripping with feigned sweetness. "Why, yes, a simple 'thanks' would suffice. I did save you from my endless chatter, after all," she responded, a smirk tugging at the corners of her lips. He just rolled his eyes, "Now should i call guards to throw you out?"

Amelia's smirk widened. "Oh, my. So feisty this morning, aren't we? But I wouldn't mind being escorted out by a few tall, handsome guards," she replied with a playful wink. His jaw dropped, "Wait!! You have world wide handsome standing right in front of you and you find those guards handsome!!" Amelia burst into giggles, clearly enjoying his reaction. "Oh, stop fishing for compliments, Princey," she teased.

"But fine, I'll admit it. You are quite the looker. Happy now?" He proudly smiled, "yeah but that doesn't mean i will let you irritate me more." Amelia rolled her eyes playfully, "Ah, there goes that inflated ego of yours." As Jin approached her, she stood her ground, refusing to back down. "And what exactly are you planning to do, hm?"

He smiled sarcastically, pushed her out of the room, and locking the door. Amelia stumbled out of the room, caught off guard by his unexpected push. She turned to the door, a mix of shock and annoyance on her face. "Hey! You can't just lock me out like that!" she protested, banging her fist against the door. "Princess we aren't married yet; you can't stay in my room longer now" His voice dripping with sarcasm. Despite her frustration, Amelia couldn't help but let out a scoff. "Oh, how chivalrous of you, Princey. Protecting my honor and all that," she teased through the door. He let out a sarcastic chuckle, "as if.. I am protecting my own."

Amelia rolled her eyes, clearly amused by his response. "Ah, yes. How could I forget? You wouldn't want your precious reputation to be tarnished by my mere presence," she taunted, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "Now that you are out, it's time for your beauty nap princess." Amelia let out an exaggerated sigh, "Oh yes, my beauty nap. Because heaven forbid, I don't look absolutely flawless 24/7," she retorted sarcastically. "But fine, I guess I'll take a break from irritating you... For now." He sighed in relief. Amelia leaned against the door, a sly smile creeping across her face. "But don't get used to it, Princey. I'll be back to annoy you in no time," she warned, her voice laced with playful determination.

He banged on the door. She flinched and chuckled, taken aback by his sudden action. "And here I thought you were enjoying the peace and quiet," she teased from the other side of the door. He covered his ears with the pillows, "Should I call your sister here now?" Amelia's playful demeanor faded as she heard his threat. "Oh, you wouldn't dare," she retorted, her voice laced with slight concern. "My sister would never stop nagging about how I should behave like a 'proper princess' instead of annoying you." He decided to tease her, "Oh look Princess Amelia is scared of her younger sister" Amelia huffed, "I am not scared of her! I just don't want to listen to her lectures about proper ladylike behavior." She paused for a moment before replying, "Besides, she's shorter than me anyway. I could probably put her in a headlock if I wanted to."

"Okay then I am calling Luna here" Amelia's eyes widened. "Wait, wait, wait! You wouldn't do that, would you?" she exclaimed, attempting to sound unbothered but failing miserably. "You know how Luna gets when she sees me acting 'childish.' She becomes even more unbearable than usual." He giggled at her miserable voice, "So should I advise you something? Stop annoying me this instant" Amelia let out a dramatic sigh, knowing she had been caught. "Fine, fine. I'll stop annoying you... for now," she relented, her voice dripping with reluctant agreement.
