11. She's not normal
Valen
I reckon over what transpire some hours ago. No matter how hard I tried, I can't seem to put the bits together. I was close to stepping out of Mont Givana gate. Very close. Yet, I couldn't. I felt it. How my wolf growl for the first since I was exile. I felt my body almost taking charge of it. However, such didn't happen. Instead, the omega girl worsen the situation. She fell unconscious.
I knew she'd be a handful the very first time she entered through the gates. I'm not the type that give second chance but something about her piqued my interest. Possibly because we met at the lake view the last time I wandered around. I was able to recognize her through her voice. Things must've been better for her. I think.
The door sounded followed by the presence of Vito. I could hear his heavy breath. As if he ran a marathon. "Master. The girl has regain consciousness" He said. And I sat up and walked out. I need no hindering secret. Adelaide will have answers to what was going on. Because the hell is not going to happen. Everything just rolled over.
She was taken to one of my guest room. I stopped in front of the door and Vito landed his knock on the door. "Come in came" Adelaide's voice.
She was pacing around the room while Adelaide was seated on the bed. "You people should find a way to get me out of this place" Was the first thing that I was attacked with by her.
"What is going on?" I said my eyes shifting to Adelaide. She sat up walking up to me. "She won't be able to return" As the words slipped out of her mouth, it made me look at her in confusion.
"I don't understand. Why won't she be able to leave? Since she has regain conscious, I think she should leave" I uttered passing her a look. She retuned my gaze. However, the look in her eyes was that of nervousness.
"The moon goddess has sealed the gate. She won't be able to get out until the next full moon. And that is based on prediction"
Somehow I had that thinking that something will go wrong. I had that feeling that she'd be a trouble. I couldn't leave because of her. My last opportunity to stop my father from getting the wrong deal. I'm sure it has happened already.
"And it will appear when?" I asked trying as much as I can to calm myself.
"In a month" I snapped my eyes shut and opened them again.
In a month. Great.
My gaze landed on her. It lingers for a while. "Don't look at me that way. It's not my fault"
"Whose fault is it then? The moon goddess sealed the gates because of you. I don't know why a lowly omega possesses such extraordinary blood" I sneered. She turned her face towards the other side.
"It's not entirely her fault. Half of it was because of you" I was interrupted by her sudden outburst. "How so?"
"I think we should sit and talk it over"
My arms were folded across my chest as I waited for Adelaide to explain the situation. Because I don't understand a thing. Why would the moon goddess seal the gates all of a sudden? "Adelaide I'm all ears" I uttered getting no reaction from her all the while.
"Master Valen, the reason why the moon goddess sealed the gate is unknown to me. I'm also surprised. But one thing is certain, the girl is somehow connected to it. We just have to wait and see. Give me two days to look into the situation"
"Two days? Can't you do it in twenty four hours" I said. I don't want her to spend time in my house. Something might go wrong again.
Adelaide sat up using her stick to support her. "I might be a sorcerer but I can't go against the moon goddess. I will not guarantee you things will be better after the two days. I will now take my leave. Goodnight"
"Wait Ma'am, are you leaving just like that? Is there no any other way for me to leave? Everyone will be worried at home" the girl blocked Adelaide.
"I have nothing to do at the moment. You have to stay here for two days before I think of a solution. What is your name?" That was when I realized I don't even know her name. Initially, I didn't expect we'll still meet again. This is practically the third time.
"Gianna"
Her name fits her. The name sounds like a typical trouble maker.
"Goodnight Gianna" She patted her on the shoulder before walking out.
Silence prevailed in the room all of a sudden. The kind of silence that leaves you in deep thought. "Standing there won't solve your problem. No one forced you to come here. You came on your own accord"
"Excuse me. I don't need any lecture. I'm trying to take in what is going on at the moment" Her voice was in a high pitch.
Well, I was only trying to help. I could see how her body went weak when Adelaide announced that she'd stay over for two days. At this situation, we don't know whether she'd be able to come up with solution. What baffles me is why the moon goddess had to seal the gates. There must be a reason. Somehow I felt like Adelaide is not telling us everything.
The hiss from Gianna snapped me out of my trance. "This is so frustrating" She asserted crashing on the sofa.
"Master Valen dinner is ready" Cindy announced making her presence known.
"I'm seriously hungry" Vito and I glance at each other at her outburst. Who was the one bursting us for what has happened. Now she's coming up that she's hungry. What a girl.
"Set the table. With an extra" Vito passed me a questioning look. He knows I don't eat with anyone. I eat alone. But since we have an addition, maybe I won't mind sharing.
