Chapter 1: News of the Transfer

It all started as a seemingly normal day on the Isle of the Lost. Just running around and causing whatever chaos possible without a care in the world for five specific kids. One of those kids is Demitri. A pale-skinned boy with jet black hair and bright blue highlights, and blue eyes that were just as piercing in color. He was dressed in dark blue jeans, a black T-shirt, combat boots, leather jacket, and a blue beanie. He also had two lip piercings and various studded leather bracelets. With his friends Mal, Evie, Carlos, and Jay, the group ran through the streets of the Isle.

~Cue Song~

[Mal]

They say I'm trouble

They say I'm bad

They say I'm evil

And that makes me glad.

[Jay]

A dirty no-good

Down to the bone

Your worst nightmare

Can't take me home

[Evie]

So I've got some mischief

In my blood

Can you blame me?

I never got no love

[Demitri]

You call me wicked

Or even cruel

That's just my nature

Or are you a fool?

[Carlos]

They think I'm callous

A low-life hood

I feel so useless

Misunderstood

[Mal and Evie]

Mirror, mirror on the wall

Who's the baddest of them all?

Welcome to my wicked world

Wicked world

[All]

I'm rotten to the core, core

Rotten to the core

I'm rotten to the core, core

Who could ask for more?

I'm nothing like the kid next

Like the kid next door

I'm rotten to the core

I'm rotten to the

I'm rotten to the core

[Mal]

Call me a schemer

Call me a freak

How can you say that?

I'm just unique

[Jay]

What, me? A traitor?

Ain't got your back?

Are we not friends?

What's up with that?

[Evie]

So I'm a misfit

So I'm a flirt

I broke your heart?

I made you hurt?

[Demitri]

So I'm a hot-head

So I'm alone

Stick to the shadows

This hell's my home

[Carlos]

The past is past

Forgive, forget

The truth is

You ain't seen nothing yet

[Mal and Evie]

Mirror, mirror on the wall

Who's the baddest of them all?

Welcome to my wicked world

Wicked world

[All]

I'm rotten to the core, core

Rotten to the core

I'm rotten to the core, core

Who could ask for more?

I'm nothing like the kid next

Like the kid next door

I'm rotten to the core

I'm rotten to the

I'm rotten to the core

~End Song~

After the kids were done, a mother pulling her small child in a cart passed by, and Mal took the candy the child was holding, lifting it in the air as her friends and the crowd that gathered with them cheered. That didn't last long though, as most of the crowd quickly ran off, meaning only one person could have approached them.

"Hi Mom." She says as Maleficent appeared with her two guards.

"Stealing candy, Mal?" Maleficent asked, "I'm so disappointed."

"It was from a baby." Mal responds, presenting it to her.

"That's my nasty little girl." Maleficent responds, seemingly impressed before she takes it and.... 'cleans' it before handing it to one of her guards, telling him to return it. Mal tried to protest, but Maleficent brusher her off and continued. "It's the deets, Mal, that make the difference between mean and truly evil. When I was your age I was cursing entire kingdoms." She then pulled Mal away for a moment, saying something the other kids could not hear before suddenly going back to the group. "Oh, the news! I buried the lead. You five have been chosen to go to a different school, in Auradon."

Evie, Carlos, and Jay tried to run, but were stopped by Maleficent's guards while Demitri and Mal looked for their own escape routes, but finding none.

"What?" Mal asked in disbelief, "I'm not going to some boarding school filled to the brim with prissy pink princesses!"

"And perfect princes." Evie added dreamily before quickly acting like she wasn't interested as well.

"Yeah, and I don't do uniforms.Unless it's leather. You feel me?" Jay added.

"I read somewhere that they allow dogs in Auradon. Mom said they're rabid pack animals who eat boys who don't behave." Carlos adds.

"I'd rather drop dead right now than set foot in that place." Demitri adds.

"Yeah, Mom, we're not going." Mal finally adds in the chain of the protests.

"Oh, you're thinking small, pumpkin." Maleficent says, "It's all about world domination."

She then yelled for her guards to follow her, and the kids reluctantly did as well, seeing that the Evil Queen, Jafar, and Cruella were also waiting for them at Mal's place.

"You will go. You will find the Fairy Godmother, and you will bring me back her magic wand." Maleficent says. "Easy-peasy."

"What's in it for us?" Mal asks.

"Matching thrones. Hers-and-hers crowns." Maleficent starts to list off.

"She meant us." Demitri says, referring to the rest of the kids.

Maleficent ignored him and motoned for Mal to come closer. "It's all about you and me, baby. Do you enjoy watching innocent people suffer?"

"Well, yeah, I mean who doesn't..." Mal responds before being cut off.

"Well then get me the wand and you can see all that and so much more. And with that wand and my scepter, I will be able to bend both good and evil to my will!"

"Our will." Evil Queen adds.

"Yes, our will." Maleficent corrects, "And if you refuse, you're grounded for the rest of your life, missy."

Mal starts to protest, but she is silenced before one of the magical stare downs between her and her mother happen again, which Maleficent wins. Evil Queen then calls Evie over, telling her to find herself a prince while she's there, and Cruella and Jafar start protesting as well, listing their reasons as to why they want Carlos and Jay to not go. While this was happening, Demitri rolled his eyes and walked over to Mal.

"I think this is the part where I sneak out and head back to my place. Might as well get what Dad thinks and get that part over with. I'll catch up with you later." He tells her.

"Alright." Was all she said in response as Demitri left.

When he arrived at his home, Demitri was greeted by two familiar faces, his imps Rage and Misery. Rage was a short little guy, with a masculine appearance. They had dark teal hair that fell to their jawline, and was dressed in basic jeans and a T-shirt that were similar in color, with a tail and two small horns. Misery, on the other hand, was taller and more plus-sized, with a more feminine appearance. They had dark magenta hair tied in a ponytail, horns, a tail, and also wore a T-shirt and jeans, more pink in color.

"Welcome back, Demitri." Rage greeted.

"You're back sooner than we thought." Misery added.

"Yeah, I know. Where's Dad?" Demitri asked.

"This way." Misery replied, leading the way to where Hades was at.

"So, what's this I hear about you going to Auradon?" Hades asked.

"I was just about to mention that. I just found out myself. Me, Jay, Evie, Carlos, and Mal. None of us want to go, but Maleficent was all 'you gotta get Fairy Godmother's wand.' and stuff. I stopped paying attention about halfway through."

"You should go." Hades says.

"What?" Demitri asked. "What's the catch?"

"It might be good for you to get out of here for a change. And while I couldn't care less about Maleficent's scheme, if there is a way for you to get that barrier open, find it." Hades tells him.

"Do I get to take the Ember with me?"

"No, but you're taking Rage and Misery with you."

"What? Us?" Both imps asked.

"You heard him." Demitri says with a sigh. "You two get anything you think you'll need."

As they scurried off, Demitri sulked over to his room and packed a bag with his essentials, taking his time doing so. Once he was done, a faint sound of a car honking could be heard outside.

"That must be for us." Rage says nervously.

"Off we go, to unknown territory." Misery adds.

"Don't keep them waiting." Hades tells the trio. "And don't do anything I wouldn't do."

Demitri nods as he makes his way out, the imps following right behind him.

"Look, while we're in Auradon, you only take orders from me unless I say otherwise. Got it?" He tells them, to which they quickly nod in response.

They walk back in the direction of Mal's place, where the Auradon limo was waiting for them. Demitri throws their bags in the trunk and is about to climb into the limo with Mal, Evie, Carlos, and Jay, but the driver stopped him when he saw Rage and Misery trying to climb in as well.

"What are those two doing?" The driver asked.

"They come with me, or I stay here." Demitri responded coldly, and after a brief pause, the driver let them in, closing the door.

"Hades make you bring them?" Mal asked, watching the imps.

"If it was my choice, they'd still be at home." Demitri responds, as the limo starts driving away from the house. "Believe it or not, he actually wanted me to go."

"Does he want you to..." Mal doesn't finish the sentence in case the driver was listening, but Demitri understood what she meant.

"Not exactly. I'll tell you later. Let's just get this over with."
