In the morning:

Regulars POV (besides Momo, Kawamura and Tezuka):

"Echizen Ryoma?" said most of the 3rd year regulars in unison.

"Heard of him?" asked Inui, "No." answered Kaidoh, bluntly. "Momo says that he's kind of a kid phenome" said Fuji, "That man doesn't lie, he could be good!" said Eiji, "Hmmm...if thats true, then it couldn't hurt to team at all." said the vice-captain. They just started walking to school, "Hey, whatever." said Fuji, 'It just has to be interesting' he thought.

The morning in Ryoma's home:

Ryoma's POV:

"Seiryuu, I am attending Seigaku with you today!" announced Ryoka to the sleepy Ryoma, Ryoma just smirked. "Whatever." He ate his american styled breakfast, "I'm going ahead so I'll see you at school, oh and I am not going to attend classes." Ryoma looked up, "So your doing the exact thing as yesterday?" Ryoka was in the same get up as yesterday, an handsome, cute, gentle, blond/white haired boy with two different eye colours (gold and green/turquoise) the only difference is that he is in the Seigaku boy's uniform, (Shin-chan: Her chest is probably tied in bandages like usual) She was wearing tennis clothes under her school uniform though. She just chuckled, "I'm going as a student this time, big difference. Oh and if you see me at school make sure to call me Masahiro, ok?" Whatever... Ryoma mumbled while Ryoka headed off, 10 minutes later he went off as well.

In some random neighbours backyard (Shin-chan: I bet she is making a bee-line to school...)

Ryoka's POV:

I just finished eavesdropping on the regulars conversation.

Here's what I think is obvious.

1- The regulars were playing matches so weren't here yesterday, while Momoshiro was injured so he stayed behind.

2- The regulars have heard of Ryoma but not much.

3- This is so going to be interesting.

I started walking to school through the bee-line route I just created, I arrived at the school and started climbing a tree (Shin-chan: You really like trees don't you?) I found a really good tree by the tennis courts the other day, I can see everyone clearly, no one can see me, and the branches were really nice. I saw some of the tennis members come in and start playing some balls, it was probably morning practice, I also saw Ryoma coming in with the freshman trio. I lied down on the branch and just watched, waiting for something interesting to happen.

Ryoma was tying his shoes while listening to Horio's ranting, comfirming my earlier assumptions of Momoshio injured and the regulars out, I looked up and noticed the a honey-haired brunette, what was his name again.... ah yeah, I think it was Tezuka Kunimitsu, I looked up, he was completely focused on Ryoma, I smiled a little, 'Heh~ looks like the captain of Seigaku noticed some potential in Ryoma' He must be a good tennis player to notice Ryoma's potential so quickly. 'Ma, I'll just wait and see what happens'

Short Tezuka's POV:

I was looking at the one called Echizen Ryoma, the new rookie 7th grader.

Why was I interested in him I do not know yet, but Ryusaki-sensei has been talking about him with such confidence, and then there was his and Momoshiro's small match. Maybe he could be the next pillar for Seigaku, this is familiar like the time the previous captain handed it down to me when I was in 7th grade. (Shin-chan: You really are to stuck in traditions Tezuka) I noticed something silver flash. I looked at the tree next to the tennis court, and thought that I saw a figure, 'is someone slacking off? Uden sezu ikou!( don't let your guard down)' I tried to get a glimpse, but the figure was already gone. 'I wonder who it is, it better not be one of the member slacking off, or laps till they drop'

Ryoma's POV:

"blah, blah, blah, and did you hear the best part? Each month there is a school ranking challenge, every regular position up for grabs, thats the reason Seigaku is so good." That part caught Ryoma's attention. 'Hm, good to know' He thought as he walked away. He heard someone asking, "Hey how do you know so much, I'm impressed." Horio just 'modestly' scratched the back of his head, "Well, its really nothing, nothing at all really." Ryoma just sighed, and thought 'Some guys are all talk...' His thoughts were interrupted when a second year went up to him. "Hey, are you the new hotshot 7th grader?" He asked mockingly, Ryoma just looked at him with bored eyes, "Hotshot 7th grader, hm.....oh he's over there" Ryoma pointed at Horio, "Huh?" the second grader asked then he looked at where he was pointing, "Oh, should have guessed, catch the dorky clothes." Then walked over, Ryoma heard someone snicker, but he bet with 800 packs of ponta that it was Ryoka, or someone he now has to call 'Masahiro'.

No one's POV:

Horio just kept bragging and bragging, "Hey 7ths, pick up the balls" yelled an annoyed 8th grader, his friend just told him to leave them alone (Shin-chan: which probably is a wise choice) While Horio didn't even hear them and kept opening his mouth (Shin-chan: Like seriously, when does that kid breathe?) "Someday I am going to take Tezuka out for a game, and you know what, I am going to defeat him" Horio semi-announced (Shin-chan: Which is kind of bold, if I must say) then he laughed when Katsuwo said, "hey Horio..." trying to get his friends attention. Horio opened his eyes to see a 8th grader in front of him. "Don't get so cocky kid" Horio sweat-dropped, "Um.." The 8th grader continued, "You think you are going to enter the ranking tournament, please, its not even possible for you 7th graders, the only thing 1st years get to do is pick up balls, the team is made up of ninth graders and eighth graders maybe." Then Arai came over. "You picking on the 7th graders?" he asked, the other 8th grader just shrugged and said "this is the new 7th grader they have been talking about" Arai looked confused, "What? No its not" "Huh?" "This isn't the one who beat Momoshiro the other day, over there, the one with the white hat." They both looked over at Echizen, who was just calmly hitting a tennis ball with his racket.

The eighth grader looked pissed, "Why that little monster, he's trying to make me look dumb, well I'll show him, errgh!" Horio just sighed in relief.

After school practice begins:

(Shin-chan: Oh and in case you were wondering, Ryoka-chan has been sleeping the entire time while occasionally waking up and playing with some of the birds on the brances, (Ryoka is really with one with the animals, they are not afraid of her at all)

"And you know what, Captain Tezuka went all undefeated last year, blah, blah, blah." And where was Horio again? Bragging.

(Shin-chan: Did that kid not learn his lesson from earlier?!)
