Talking With Rarity and April

Part of this chapter is very much inspired by a chapter in a RariTello story ravenfox95 wrote.

For the next few days, Garrett and Kirby ended up becoming good friends. They learned the art of the ninja together, and Garrett told Kirby about the world of Equestria. Kirby considered Garrett to be his best friend. Garrett had now convinced Rarity and April to talk about their problems, in order to help them.

One day, Pinkie had come into the lair to hang out with the Turtles. She even brought that large cookie pizza Mikey liked. Garrett was in a private room with April and Rarity. He was sitting on a desk with a notebook and pen while the girls were sitting on a couch. "Okay, you girls aren't going to fight, right?" Garrett asked. "We won't," promised April. "And you two won't threaten each other, verbally and/or physically?" Garrett asked again. "We won't," promised Rarity. "Okay, there are no weapons in this room for you two to use..." observed Garrett, "cough it up, April."

"Cough what up?" April asked in confusion. "I know you're hiding a weapon somewhere," stated a deadpan Garrett, "cough it up." April sighed, and reluctantly took off her right boot, her right foot now bare, and got out a bladed fan, her usual weapon. She reluctantly gave her weapon to Garrett. "How do we know you're not hiding another weapon in your other boot?" Rarity asked. April sighed, and took her other boot off, her left foot bare also, and revealed her boot to be empty. "There, empty. Happy?" April said, annoyed, keeping her boots off. "Who hides a weapon in their boot anyway?" Garrett asked, dumbfounded. "Well I do that in case I'm tied up to a chair, and I need a way to escape," stated April. "Actually that sounds fair, so I'll give you credit for that," said Garrett. Even Rarity had to agree, that was a good escape method.

"Alright, now that that's out of the way, let us start," said Garrett "They say that the worst of enemies often started out as the best of friends. You ladies seem like no exception to that saying. And I'm sure that your animosity stems from more than just romantic feelings for Donatello that are resulting in petty jealousy. Just out of curiosity, how long were you two friends?" April and Rarity looked at each other, and Rarity sighed, "Since kindergarten. I considered April to be my best friend. We played together, and did so much together." Garrett nodded, writing this down. "When did your friendship end?" Garrett asked. April looked down in guilt, and said, "In our adolescence..."

"Care to elaborate?" Garrett asked, writing this down. "It was like any other day," explained Rarity, "later on in the day, April started to avoid me, wouldn't talk to me... I tried to reach out to her, but then she snapped at me, calling me such horrid and resentful names. She didn't want to be my friend anymore... after that bitter falling out, we never talked or hung out together anymore, and when she moved to New York, we never kept in touch after that." She sniffled, ready to cry. Garrett got out a box of tissues, giving it to Rarity. "Thank you darling," she said, wiping tears from her eyes. "Now April, I'm not one to interrogate," stated Garrett, "but why did you snap at Rarity?"

April sighed and said, "Well, what Rarity said was true. But, it's time I told the truth. Rarity, do you remember Allison Stone?" Rarity, out of surprise, said, "Why yes I do... there's a name I haven't heard in years."

"Hold on, forgive me, who's Allison Stone?" Garrett asked. "We went to middle school with her," said Rarity. "She was one of those Queen Bee wannabes, and Rarity's rival in Middle School," said April. "She sounds pleasant," said a sarcastic Garrett. "Anyway, remember that morning before I ignored you?" April asked. "Why yes, you told me you'd deal with Allie," said Rarity. "Allie manipulated me into thinking you were stealing her popularity and stealing my thunder, which really sounds like BS now that I think about it," admitted a remorseful April, "she pressured me into ditching you. And you know how I am when it comes to peer pressure, I usually caved in when I was younger."

"Actually yes, you did often go into fight or flight mode," said Rarity. "Okay, correct me if I'm wrong," said Garrett, "but some spoiled Queen Bee Wannabe who thought Rarity was stealing her thunder, metaphorically speaking, is what drove a wedge between your friendship?!?!?" Rarity and April both nodded, looking down. Garrett rubbed his head, took aspirin and water, then wrote all this down. "And, where is this Allison Stone now?" asked Garrett. "Honestly, I don't know what happened to her," said Rarity. "Me neither," admitted April. "Well, you shouldn't let someone like Allison Stone control your lives," advised Garrett. "You're right Garrett," said April, and she looked Rarity in the eyes, and with emotion said, "Rarity, I didn't mean to say all those hurtful things to you, years ago. I actually do admire you, and you are the most creative person I know. And I hate that I came in between you and Donnie. I don't know what I was thinking. I miss the people we were. I miss talking to you, hanging out with you, I miss those times when we would paint each other's nails. I've been a terrible friend, and I am truly sorry about that... I'm afraid of being too late to reconcile with you..." Tears were going down April's eyes.

"April, Rarity, it's never too late to reconcile and rekindle a friendship," said Garrett. "Rarity, can you find it in your heart to forgive me?" asked a tearful April. "Oh darling..." a tearful Rarity replied, "I already forgive you..." And for the first time in years, Rarity hugged her friend, April O'Neil. They both burst into tears, happy to know they'd officially reconciled and fixed their friendship. Even Garrett shed tears of joy, specifically on his right eye. He'd solved the friendship problem on his own.

Suddenly, Rarity and April then hugged Garrett. "Thank you so much Garrett," said an overwhelmed Rarity. "Anytime," said Garrett "you want your weapon back, April?"

"Nah, I'll leave the weapon and my boots here," said April. The two friends left the room, arm in arm, like sisters. Garrett went out after them. He saw Leo, Raph, and Kirby on the couch, watching Space Heroes: The Next Generation. Garrett sat next to them. "Why's April barefoot?" Kirby asked. "I had her give me a weapon she was hiding in her boot," said Garrett, and the three brothers, nodded. "Where's Donnie and Mikey?" Garrett asked. "Donnie's in his lab," said Raph. "And Mikey is with Pinkie," said Leo, "he told her he loved her and asked if she would be his girlfriend. She said yes." Garrett smiled, happy for Mikey.
