The next day, Garrett decided to go back home. He explained to the Turtles where the portal to Equestria was. The Turtles were willing to help Garrett get to Canterlot High. All five Turtles, Garrett, April, Rarity, and Pinkie got into the Shellraiser to drive to Canterlot High. As they drove, Garrett wrote in his journal.

Dear Twilight,

This is going to be the last time I write to you in this journal. As I write these words, the Turtles and their friends, along with Pinkie and Rarity, are driving me to the portal to Equestria. I say this will be the last time I write to you in this journal because I plan on leaving this journal to the Turtles. I figured maybe I can communicate with them. I'm going to leave this journal to the responsibilities of one of them. You probably know who it is. But don't worry my beloved, in a few hours, I will be returning to you. See you real soon.

The friends in the Shellraiser spent the next few hours bonding, playing car games, and listening and singing along to songs. After a while, they made it to Canterlot City, and to the high school. "This brings back memories," stated Rarity as she and Pinkie looked at their old high school. "Yep, sure does!" Pinkie said enthusiastically. "So you ladies went to high school here?" asked Mikey. "Yuppers, we sure did!" said Pinkie, "Ooh look, they fixed the old statue Midnight Sparkle destroyed! I sure can't wait for someone to comment as Captain America and say that..."

"I understood that reference!" Mikey quipped, being a big fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, "Sorry, I couldn't resist!" Leo and Garrett smirked, and Garrett said, "Oh that Tony G, he just loves sprinkling movie references and fourth wall breakings every now and then. Let's get on with the story." They parked the Shellraiser to the parking lot of the school. The eight friends got out of the car, walking to the portal to Equestria. "Well guys, we've come to the end of the road here," said Garrett as he looked at his friends, not even knowing he referenced Boyz II Men. He shook hands with Leo, stating, "It has been an honor, learning combat from you, Sensei Leonardo." The two did a Japanese gesture, showing a sign of honor. "Hai, Garrett Shimmer," replied Leo, "the honor was mine. Take good care of your pregnant wife."

"That, I can promise," assured Garrett. He then shook Raphael's hand and said, "You're a strong warrior whom I respect. It was an honor to meet you. And you should totally ask out Applejack." Raph smirked and said, "Good luck being a prince and a dad. And I'll consider asking out Applejack." Garrett shook Donatello's hand and said, "You're a true smart fellow Donnie. And you totally deserve Rarity." Donnie and Rarity hugged Garrett tightly. "Thanks for the advice," said Donnie. "Thank you for giving me back my friend," said an emotional Rarity, "and while you're at it, say hi to your wife and sister for Pinkie and I." Mikey and Pinkie decided to hug Garrett after Rarity and Donnie let go. "Thanks for all the laughter you two," said Garrett as he smiled. "Stay radical dude," said Mikey. "Don't be a stranger!" quipped Pinkie. After they let go, Garrett shook April's hand, and she hugged him. "Miss O'Neil, tell my human doppelganger I said hi," said an optimistic Garrett. "You're gonna be a good dad, I know it," said April as she smiled. Garrett then looked at Kirby and said, "I know I'm gonna miss you the most..." Kirby then hugged him, saying, "Thank you for helping me find my family. You're my best friend, Garrett." 

"I got something for you," said Garrett as he got out the magical journal, "Now for many years, when my sister was in this world, she would use this journal to reach out to my wife. I've been using it to communicate with my wife. And now, I'm giving it to you, Kirby Hamato. There are a few pages left in this journal. If you ever need to talk to me, or just want to let me know how you're doing, I'm there for you. Take care of this journal, my friend." He gave the journal to Kirby. "I'll take care of it," promised Kirby as he held the magical journal that was in his possession. Garrett then looked at his friends one last time, smiled, and said, "In the words of Queen Liliuokalani, until we meet again." He then charged into the portal, going in.

It took him several minutes, but soon Garrett soon found himself back in Canterlot Castle, back in his unicorn form. He smiled. "It's good to be home," he said happily. "Garrett!" said an old familiar voice. Running up to him was Twilight and Sunset. Garrett smiled and embraced her, kissing her on the lips. She kissed him back, just as passionate. "I really missed you," admitted Garrett as he looked at his beautiful wife. "I missed you too my love," said Twilight, looking at his cyan eyes. "Hey, no love for your big sister?" teased Sunset, happy to see her little brother. "I missed you too Sunny," said Garrett as he hugged her, "oh, Rarity and Pinkie say hi by the way." They all laughed.
