Okay, so, as much as I like the 2012 April O'Neil, I figured her design just wasn't suitable since I'm writing her as a grown woman, so I found some different fan art.

"So have you met Pinkie Pie?" Mikey asked. "Actually yeah, I have," replied Garrett, "she's letting me stay at her house."

"Okay cool," said Mikey, "how's she doing?" Garrett smiled and said, "she's doing well. Very jovial." Mikey nodded, blushing. Garrett could tell Mikey had an obvious crush on Pinkie. He was getting to know the Turtles well, when suddenly, a young white woman with red hair and green eyes, wearing a yellow jacket, a white tank top, blue jeans, and black boots walked in. It was April O'Neil.

"Hey guys," she said, "who's your new friend?" Garrett turned around and saw her for the first time. "Oh hey April," said Leo, "this is Garrett Shimmer. Garrett, this is our friend April O'Neil." April raised an eyebrow and said, "That's strange, there's a writer with the exact same name and looks just like him."

"Oh, you must be talking about my human doppelganger," said Garrett as he shook April's hand. April gave a confused look. "He's not kidding," said Donnie, "he's a unicorn from an alternate dimension." April was dumbfounded. "I know, sounds like the craziest thing we've said all day," joked Raph, smirking. "I met him once," said Garrett, "the other me. Nice guy. So... he's a writer."

"Yes he is," said April, "I met him once when I was starting out as a reporter. We're all fans of his film, An Italian Vampire Slayer In Brooklyn." Mikey laughed and said, "Ah yeah, we got the DVD!" He rushed off, then came back with said DVD. Garrett read the DVD, "Produced by Canter Zoom, written by Garrett Shimmer, Directed by Canter Zoom." He smiled.

Much later, April went back to her job at Channel 6 News. Rarity came in after work to hang out with the Turtles. She was on the couch with Donnie and Garrett. "So Rarity," began Garrett, "I'm just curious, how did you meet the Turtles?"

"Well, it's an interesting story," said Rarity, "you see, I'd gotten out of a bad relationship with my first boyfriend. His name was Blueblood."

"Whoa, Blueblood?!?!?!" Garrett blurted in shock. "You know him darling?" Rarity asked. "Unfortunately yes," said Garrett, "where I'm from, he's a unicorn, and a prince." Donnie rolled his eyes and said, "Oh joy."

"Joy indeed Donnie," said Garrett, "but he's not a really good prince. In fact, in my humble opinion, he's a spoiled snob. Your pony doppelganger went on one date with him, and only one."

"Bad date?" Donnie asked, earning a nod from Garrett. "Oh my," said Rarity, "so he's just as bad as my ex? Doesn't seem surprising. Anyway, a year ago, I moved here to New York in order to open up my very own fashionista store. But Blueblood found a way to stalk me. He kept on threatening me through texts and being at the places I hung out. One night, he cornered me! He was going to hurt me badly, but then, they came in."

"The Turtles?" Garrett asked. "Yes darling," replied Rarity, "Donatello stopped him from hurting me. Since that night, Blueblood has backed away and left me alone. I've been friends with Donnie and his brothers since." Garrett smiled and gave Donnie a pat saying, "Nice one Donnie. Good job saving her life." Donnie blushed and said, "Daww, it was nothing." Rarity smiled and said, "Oh it was something darling. You really are my hero." Donnie laughed even more, blushing. What the trio didn't know was that they were being watched by April. And she was red hot with jealousy.
