Garrett went to the Canterlot Train Station, and once it was his turn, he went to the ticket guy and said, "Hello, one ticket to New York, please." Once Garrett paid for his ticket, he took the train to New York. It would take him a few hours to get there, so Garrett decided to buy some headphones and a CD Player, and played some music. As the train rolled, Garrett listened to the music, enjoying it, especially from a band called Lion. "Rock and roll," he thought happily. A few hours later, the train then stopped at New York. He looked at the view of New York, and he was amazed with what he saw. Once the train stopped, Garrett got out, thinking, "Well, that was a pleasant experience." Suddenly, someone said, "Garrett?" He turned around, recognizing the voice. He'd met her before. It was the human Pinkie Pie!

"Pinkie Pie?" Garrett asked in surprise. It had been a long time since he saw her. They laughed and hugged each other. "It's so good to see you after all these years!" Garrett said happily. "Wait, you're the Garrett Shimmer from the Pony World, right?" asked Pinkie. Garrett chuckled and asked, "How'd you guess?"

"Let's just say I'm used to the other Garrett wearing glasses," said Pinkie as they walked around. "How is the other me?" asked Garrett. "He and Sci-Twi are doing well as a couple," said Pinkie, "They're successful filmmakers. How are you and Princess Twilight?" Garrett showed off his left hand with his wedding ring, and he said, "You could say we're living happily ever after. And we're gonna be parents." Pinkie gasped and said, "OMG, you two got married?? And you're gonna be parents?!?!?!? That's wonderful! How's your sister?" Garrett smiled and said, "Oh Sunset? She's enjoying motherhood with her wife Starlight. I'm a proud uncle of two foals named Ray and Maud." Pinkie's eyes widened and she gasped again and asked, "Sunny and Starlight named their daughter after my sister?!?!?!? Oh my gosh, I'm so flattered! We should tell my Maud! She'd be so flattered!" She was smiling brightly. Garrett chuckled and said, "Believe me, when the Maud of my world met my niece, not only was she happy that a filly was named after her, but when she first held little Maud, she had a meltdown." Pinkie smiled and said, "Daww, that is so adorable! Welcome to New York by the way!" Garrett smiled and said, "Thanks Pinkie. So, are you living in New York?"

"Yuppers!" Pinkie said enthusiastically, "Applejack and I run a bakery together! She makes the best apple pies, apple strudels, apple tarts, you name it! She really is some good help!" Garrett nodded, surprised at what she had been up to since the last time he saw her. Then, out of the blue, Pinkie asked, "Let me guess, you're on a mission on Princess Twilight's behalf to help solve a friendship problem?" Garrett's jaw dropped and he asked, "How'd you know? Is that why you were at the train station?" 

"Let's just say I had a feeling," said Pinkie as she smiled. Garrett smirked and, well aware of the fourth wall, asked, "You've been reading the last few chapters of what's going on, haven't you?" Pinkie laughed and said, "Now you've got it! Besides, someone's gotta guide you through New York! I know this city like the back of my hand!" Pinkie looked at her hand, and in surprise, said, "Huh, that's new... Anyway, you can sleep at my house, I got a guest room." Garrett smiled and said, "Well thank you Pinkie, that's real generous of ya." Much later, Garrett and Pinkie were at her house. They'd eaten dinner, and were catching up on old times. Much later, Garrett was in the guest room, and was writing on the magic journal his sister used to use when communicating to Celestia and Twilight. "Hope my writing's still good here,"  thought Garrett as he began to write. He noticed he was capable of writing with his right hand.

My Dear Beloved Princess,

You will be pleased to know  that  I have officially made it into the human world, and I have successfully traveled to New York City. The city is brilliant to look at. The human Pinkie Pie of that world is aware of my mission, and is willing to help me. And she's very flattered that Starlight named little Maud after her sister. I am staying at Pinkie's house as I write these words. I will look for Rarity tomorrow. I want you to know, that I miss you, and I hope to return to you and be in your arms as soon as I can.

Garrett smiled, closed the journal, and got into bed, sleeping.  Meanwhile, in Equestria, Twilight read what  Garrett wrote, and smiled, moved to tears. "I miss you too my love," she said, and she kissed the journal, because she knew it would be the closest she would get to kissing her husband.
