A week later, everything for Garrett's official Coronation was arranged. Pinkie Pie went so far as to make the food. It was the day of the ceremony, and Garrett was in the back of the entrance. He was in a royal suit, and Shining Armor was in his royal, knightly, uniform. "How do I look?" asked a nervous Garrett. "You look good Garrett," assured Shining Armor, "You know what I see?" 

"What do you see?" asked Garrett. "I see a stallion that's honorable, brave, loyal, has fulfilled his full potential," stated Shining Armor, "a stallion that's done something good with his life." Garrett smiled and said, "I owe you everything Shining Armor." 

"It was more than just me," Shining Armor humbly said. "Well, if it weren't for ponies like you and my friends, I wouldn't have made it this far," said Garrett, "Thank you for everything." Shining Armor smiled and said, "Don't mention it. You ready buddy?" Garrett gave a confident look and said, "Oh yeah." They then walked into the entrance, ready for the ceremony. Everypony was there, from Twilight, to all her friends and family, including the former villains that turned good, to all of Garrett's friends and family. At the center was Princess Celestia with her sister, Princess Luna. Garrett shined with pride as he walked down the aisle. As he walked, he could've sworn he saw the spirits of his mother and father, Shimmering Dawn and Ray Shimmer, looking upon him and Sunset, smiling. Something in his heart told him that his parents were proud of Sunset and him. He went into the center, facing Celestia. "Friends and family," began the Princess of the Sun, "Today is a joyous day. For on this day, we witness one of our own become a Prince." She then used her magic to lift up a royal crown with a jewel in the center. It looked like Sunset's Cutie Mark. 

"For the many times you and Princess Twilight Sparkle saved Equestria," stated Celestia, "and for solving a friendship problem in another dimension on your own, we now dub you, Garrett Shimmer, Prince of Equestria." Garrett humbly kneeled, allowing Celestia to put the royal crown on him. "Rise, Prince Garrett," commanded Celestia, and the newly coronated Prince did as he was commanded, facing his people, "Behold Equestria, your new Prince!" Everypony clapped, happy to see Garrett Shimmer was now a prince. Sunset shed tears of pride and joy. Princess Twilight walked up to her husband and said, "Congratulations, my Prince." The royal couple then kissed.
