A/n: I hope you like this chapter! Thank you to everyone who reads my book!
Prince Kousei had called out Mark Margoth in his office located inside the Silver Throne Room. He had called him that night before he goes to sleep. His office and the Royal Chamber are both located side by side at the right side of the vast hall of the Silver Throne Chair. Mark Margoth knelt on his right knee after he was allowed entry inside the Crown Prince's Office. "Your Highness! I have come to listen to any of your messages and orders."
Prince Kousei stood up behind his table and walked close near him. "I'm ordering you to find out the reason why my friends from Japan visited me. I want to know if they were able to gather information about my brother's death."
"Understood, Your Highness!" Mark Margoth spoke up. After Mark had left his office, he was finally able to breathe softly. He sat on his leather chair while he watch him leave. That day was too exhausting for him and he really does feel very heavy and tired. He stood up again but he soon found out that he had a very heavy headache and began coughing up.
He wasn't able to leave his office that night as he had fainted inside it.
Since he had been inside his office for a bit too long, his Personal Butler, Eugene Adams became worried already. He entered his office to check on him. It was at that time that he discovered that Prince Kousei's shivering and he feels so cold. He couldn't even move from where he had lost consciousness. He opened his eyes slightly while his Butler carry him up. He held on him and thanked him. "You're always there when I need it. Thanks, Eugene," Kousei said to him.
"You don't listen to me, Your Highness. How many times should I ask you not to force and push your body to the limit?" Eugene told him.
"If I don't push myself, I would never know the truth about why my brother chose to take his life," he said to him while Eugene take him back inside his room. He checked his temperature by touching his forehead and when he knew that he's feverish, he called for the Royal Physician immediately to go inside the Crown Prince's Throne Room.
...
Watari Ryota and Tsubaki Sawabe were surprised by the rooms given to them inside the Royal Residence at the Royal Visitor's Hotel.
Watari Ryota's room is huge and wide. The walls are painted with bronze color. He was also very amazed that the room's astonishingly elegant and fancy.
Sawabe Tsubaki's room are painted with silver and bronze. Her room has two small glass windows. She opened them and the fragrance of the lavender can be smelled from it.
Both of them had just arrived their room and were both unpacking their luggage when female servants had informed them that the Emperor is looking for them. They obeyed the order and went at the Royal Phoenix Throne.
...
Tsubaki and Watari Ryota gave their respects to Emperor Richard III by lowering themselves to him.
"We have come here, Your Majesty. We're Crown Prince Kousei's friends," Tsubaki spoke up. "Why have you called us?"
"I stumbled upon one of my son's loyal messengers and when I had asked him anything my son ordered to him, he answered me that it was to know the reason why you are here," he answered her. "What is the reason of your presence here? Can I know the reason? Is it simply to visit Lady Kaori and meet my son again?"
Tsubaki took a very deep breath and she chose to be honest. "We sent a letter to ask her to beg you to let Crown Prince Kousei to beg you to tell him the truth. Even so, we chose to come here ourselves to do the exact same thing. We can't give her a strenuous job again," she answered him. "He gave his trust to us two years ago. We vowed to help him know the truth about the reason why his brother took his life. It's our duty to help our friend."
"We are hoping we can persuade you to let Crown Prince Kousei learn the truth and lift some kind of heavy weight away from his heart," Watari Ryota added. "He became our friend at the time we don't know he's a prince but after we learned who he truly is and witnessed the changes he manifested after his brother's death, we know that he's pushing himself too much. Have mercy on him, Your Majesty! Crown Prince Arima Kousei had always wanted to know the reason why the late Crown Prince Leonardo took his life."
"Does this mean, you know the truth about why his brother took his life? You know that I was wrong about choosing Lady Veronica to be his fiancée?" he asked them.
"Yes, Your Highness. We knew about it," Tsubaki answered him.
Emperor Richard III is sitting on his Throne at that time. He was definitely surprised by how Kousei's friends act and that they know what happened to the late crown prince he lost. He took a deep breath and sat very uncomfortably on the Golden Throne.
While he's troubled about it, a messenger from the Silver Throne Building entered it. The messenger lowered himself and informed him that his son's very sick. Kousei had a very high fever and extreme cold. His eyes widened upon learning his son had been pushed to his limit.
"The truth won't come from me. I am aware he gave you an order to investigate why the late Crown Prince Leonardo took his life," he said to Kousei's friends. "I know you are afraid and you believe telling the truth to him isn't your responsibility. You are also aware that we know the truth. You are his friends. I am sure he will believe you. Promise me that after he does learn the truth, my son wouldn't try doing anything dangerous. Tell him the truth."
...
Watari Ryota and Sawabe Tsubaki watched the Emperor leave the room in a rush. They wondered about why the Emperor looked troubled that night. It was in the morning when they knew the reason about it. They visited Kousei inside his quarters in his room in the Silver Throne Room after the time that they didn't find him at the Royal Piano Room in the Silver Throne Building.
They discovered that Kousei's very sick after they arrived in his vast, and wide chambers. His room was like a huge hall. There are three huge windows that were covered by dark blue and silver curtains.
Kousei caught flu. He would need total rest for a month. They saw Lady Kaori, Princess Brianna and Princess Jasmine inside his room. At the time they entered his very fancy room, they heared that he's currently getting scolded by his older sister. "Eugene kept telling you to give us some of your heavy loads if you can't carry them! You always mix your Royal Responsibilities and school work at the same time! Dad... I know that he had scolded you yesterday, too after he arrived here to check on you. You're probably tired hearing this over and over again," Princess Brianna told him. "Allow us to take the ceremonial duties! As princesses of this country, that is our duty even after we marry. Do you understand, Kousei?"
"You have other duties and you're in college! Brianna, I can't give you a lot of other problems like meeting and welcoming politicians and other royalties from other countries!" Kousei coughed.
Princess Jasmine took a deep breath. "You're the Crown Prince. Your duty is to study and take care of your body while you are fairly young. Welcoming significant people from other empires, republics and kingdoms isn't your duty," she said to him. "It is our responsibility."
Kousei sat on his bed and held on her hands. Jasmine felt that he's cold. His hands are sweaty, too.
She was also shocked when she saw him crying.
"You're going to leave me soon. You're going to be a Smithson next year. I gave permission already," Kousei told him while his tears fall on his eyes.
She was hurt when she saw her younger brother crying on his bed. He's pale and had been breathing painfully. His lungs feel so sore while he breathe.
Jasmine, Kaori, and Brianna became very worried for him when he began coughing up and shivered.
Jasmine took his medicines while Kaori laid him on his bed so he could sleep after Brianna helped him drink his medicines. While they were busy checking up on him, they saw Kousei's friends from Japan who were both sitting at a table a distance away from where Kousei is.
The bed and the black piano inside the room divides his room into two. The other is his Private Piano Corner where he doesn't take any visitors. That is why his sisters were shocked when they saw them inside. It was Princess Brianna who chose to talk to them. "If you want to talk to him, this isn't the right time. Our brother is very sick right now. You have to wait until he's fully recovered."
Tsubaki thanked her afterwards. "We'll return back. Thank you, Princess Brianna."
Brianna and Jasmine were able to breathe at the time Kousei's friends are out. They returned back near Kousei and used masks already. They can't risk getting flu from their brother.
"Why did they go here? Kousei doesn't take visitors here," Jasmine asked her.
"I don't know. Someone could have told them to get in here," Brianna answered.
Kousei slightly opened his eyes and asked them even as he cough, "They came?"
"Yes, Kousei. Our friends came here but your sisters drove them away for a while," Kaori said as she put back a cold towel over his head.
"My doctor said I could take some visitors here for a while," he told them.
Jasmine scoffed while she clean off Kousei's dirty face and take off his eyeglasses. "With how pale you look right now, you can't take anyone yet."
Kousei whimpered after that. His head's very heavy and felt like it's splitting him into two. His joints are hurting too. He had fallen back asleep again with his tears falling down his eyes. He's too fatigued to stay awake.
"You have to get better, Kousei," spoke Kaori. "I hope you don't punish yourself. Learn how to take things easy."
