A/n: I hope you like this chapter! Vote and comment? Pictures aren't mine.
This is Kousei's Throne Room in the Silver Throne Building Inside the Phoenix Royal Residence.
Three weeks after the Royal Burial of the late Crown Prince Leonardo, Watari Ryota and Tsubaki Sawabe spent their time inside the palace among the Royal Family.
The Parliament and Prince Kousei were getting ready for his crowning and formally announcing him as the new Crown Prince.
The Parliament and the Imperial Royal Household were silently organizing the huge event to allow Kousei, his family and the public to mourn and move on from the tragic death that occurred.
Prince Kousei's crowning will definitely lift the people's spirits up after the dark atmosphere that had befallen everyone. While he was being taught and oriented on the responsibilities and values that a Crown Prince must have, his friends weren't able to spend time with him since he's busy studying. He also kept on reading many files and acting on the responsibilities of the Crown Prince with the help of his expert Royal Advisers, Henrietta Goldberg and Josephine Rickenbacker immediately even if he doesn't have the silver crown yet.
The job of the Crown Prince was to always learn what happens outside the Palace and visiting many cities and provinces in the name of the Emperor. He would lead many charities and non government institutions. He would be the one facing diplomats and fellow crown princes all over the world. He's responsible in signing some files that goes through his office that's connected to the many Royal Charities.
As a crown prince as well, he was required to be skillful in music and have huge understanding of the Atlantian Constitution. Since he is still very young, some of his jobs were given to the two princesses for a while who are older than him. He needed to be prepared and knowledgeable when he takes up all of the responsibilities of a Crown Prince when he turn eighteen years old.
At the age of eighteen, his sisters will finally be allowed to get married with their chosen husbands who could become royal dukes.
...
Tsubaki stared at the Royal Family Picture inside the Guest Hall in the Palace. A five years old Kousei is smiling brightly with his mother, his half- brother, his half-sisters, Empress Adrianna and Emperor Richard III. "He's really a member of the Royal Family," she cried. "Now I understand why he does have blue eyes."
Watari Ryota stood behind her and grinned while they stare at the huge picture. "We have to accept that he's going to be very busy, Tsubaki."
She took a deep breath. "I wonder how he is, now?"
The two of them chose to get out of the Guest Hall and chose to walk on the corridors of the Silver Hall. The hall is located at the left side of the palace. While they are walking at the vast, unpainted hall, they were surprised to see Kousei inside, staring at the sky. As usual, he's wearing his white military uniform but with no other military pins yet as he's still basically a cadet. They had also noticed the change in his character. He had become more regal and grand ever since he began his life once again as a prince.
Igor Forester bowed behind him. "Your Highness, your tutor in history is at the door of the Silver Throne Room at the Silver Throne Building. He's waiting for you"
Igor Forester is a newly hired spokesperson by the Royal Family for Prince Nathan 'Kousei' Arima. He's 25 years old. He has brown hair and eyes, and fair complexion.
While he's on the way to enter the throne room of the Crown Prince, he saw his friends standing a distance away from them. He stopped walking for a while to talk to them. "Please take care of Kaori. I know she's very much depressed why I have no time to talk to her. Tell her I'm sorry. Thank you."
He's only fifteen but due to his brother's death, he had to carry the weight of the silver crown and had to act older than his real age. His friends pitied him and at the time Kousei was far from them already, Ryota spoke up, "I hope he doesn't change too much. He needed to re-adapt himself here and he's becoming just like everyone else here. The palace is very enchanting and attractive outside but inside, all of them are normal politicians. I don't know why anyone would want to become royalties! Why did Kousei went home here? He has more freedom outside these walls. Is he sacrificing his private life and dreams to be a professional pianist?"
Tsubaki stared at him very strangely. "What are you talking about? He'll always be Kousei!"
"How sure are you? Just right now, he's changing!" Watari Ryota spoke to her. "He is becoming just like his family!"
The two of them had a very heated argument soon until the two of them stopped when they heard Empress Adrianna speak. "Stop arguing inside the Royal Palace!"
When they looked who spoke to them, the two of them gulped and bowed at her. "Your Majesty."
"The weight of the silver crown is very taxing indeed. As the new heir apparent, he had to obey the rules of the Royal Palace. It is his responsibility to learn a lot of old traditions and cultures to represent the country. More on, it is our responsibility to give him the best mentors and teachers who would mold him as the future emperor," she explained to them. "Ever since Prince Kousei went home, he knew that he will need to re- learn many ways he wasn't used to, anymore. He had lived for years as a commoner in Japan. He knew already that after he arrived here, he needed to re- orient himself to the many rules of the Palace. In my observation, he is happy to be home."
Watari Ryota and Tsubaki Sawabe had only bowed their heads in shame in front of Kousei's acting mother. Now that Arima Saki had passed away and Kousei returned in the palace, Queen Adrianna would be taking care of the new, future King, now that her eldest son passed away. Watari Ryota did hurt the empress very much.
"I heard everything you said," she said to them. "If you would keep acting and saying those words, I might suggest that he stay away from you!"
Watari Ryota felt guilty with everything he said. "Forgive me for whatever I said, Your Majesty."
"I understand," she said as she dry her tears, "As I have heard, you are his best friend. I can understand that you are culture-shocked but I hope you respect our way of life. You are also very young, too. Soon, you will understand everything."
...
Friday night, eve before the silver crowning, his friends from Japan were ordered to enter the Silver Throne Room. He had used a young, male messenger to talk to them.
"Prince Kousei wanted to talk to the three of you in the Silver Throne Room. Now that he's free to talk to you, he wanted you to see him. He has some important reminders he wanted you to know," he spoke up. "You can call me Mark Margoth. I'm one of Prince Kousei's messengers."
Watari Ryota was surprised by what he had heard.
"He wants to talk to us now?" he asked him. "Why didn't he just talk to us here?"
"He's aware he wasn't able to be with you for a month. As the appointed new crown prince of the Empire of Atlantis, he cannot have any meetings with anyone and not even with his friends if the message he will bring out is formal," he answered him. "Follow me. He wanted me to inform you that he is a prince and is not the commoner you have known anymore."
They understood and decided to walk behind him. The young messenger guided them to the vast and monumental Silver Throne Room of the Crown Prince of the Empire of Atlantis. They stopped in front of a gigantic pair of silver -colored doors. It was the room where the late Crown Prince Leonardo's coffin was laid for a few weeks.
Upon the time they entered the Silver Throne Room, they were blown away by the huge goblets and torches that light the throne room. There were also a lot of old violet banners hanging around the room that had the Silver Phoenix with two swords behind it as the crest symbol of the crown prince.
They walked at a violet carpet and at the time their eyes straightened to the boy sitting at the mighty Silver Throne placed on a huge platform, they weren't able to immediately recognize him since his aura had changed. His eyes weren't innocent anymore. The Prince sitting in front of them had stark and fiery eyes. He has an overwhelming aura, too.
Kaori was definitely shocked by how different Kousei had become after a month of his intensive studying and training to become the heir apparent of Emperor Richard III. They gave their respects by curtsying and bowing before him. He's wearing a silver lounge suit at that time. He took deep breaths and stood up from his throne.
"I am sure you are astounded by the change in my character and aura even if I am not yet even moving nor I have spoken anything, yet. With you, things will never change. I am still a friend of yours while Kaori will remain as my girlfriend and the woman I love. Tomorrow will be my inauguration and the day I will wear my brother's crown," he said to them. "The police had informed us that my brother committed suicide. Even they say we are young, I know that there is something we can do that the adults cannot do. I have no doubt to what the police had reported to us. It is very clear to me that he took his life. He may have taken his life but I hope you help me find out why. I want to go deep into it. I want you to be my eyes in Japan. Something happened in that country that brought him to kill himself."
"Don't worry, Your Highness. We will help you," Watari Ryota spoke up.
Kousei walked closer to Kaori. He hugged her tight and asked, "Can you stay here in the empire, Kaori? I'll always be outside of the palace anyway since my duties was to always visit many hospitals and meeting with commoners. My sisters are the one who are focused on diplomatic responsibilities for a while."
Kaori embraced him, too. She was also surprised when she heard him sobbing. She felt the thorns inside Kousei's emotions while his precious tears are falling down his eyes.
She dried his tears using her handkerchief. "I don't know, Kousei. After your inauguration, we will all be returning in Japan but I hope that my parents allow me to study here."
"I'm afraid to lose you, Kaori. I am afraid that due to it that I have accepted this treacherous responsibility, I will be sacrificing you. I don't want that to happen. Remember Kaori, you're my first love and you are very important to me," Kousei told her in between breaths.
Kaori stared at his shining blue eyes. She blushed under him and felt real fuzzy inside. "Don't worry, Kousei. I'm loyal to you."
"Take my friends back to their respective rooms. I need to rest for tomorrow," he ordered Mark Margoth who's just standing by the huge doorway of his throne room. "Tell my sisters that I won't be seeing them this night. I'm exhausted and tired."
He began sitting again on the Silver Throne while he watch his friends leave his room. His sixty years old official, personal butler, Eugene Adams, took his bow and gave him water. "Your Highness, should I help you stand and walk to your chamber?"
"Thank you, Eugene. I need your help," he replied to him.
...
Eugene carried him on his right shoulder and held him tight to prevent him from falling asleep. He could observe how much the prince pushed himself to the limits. He laid him on the king-sized bed at the time they're on his chamber already. Kousei fell asleep immediately after he was laid down. He took off his shoes, suit and pants. He made him wear blue pajamas.
When he's done clothing him, he gave him a white blanket.
"Your highness, you're only fifteen years old. The emperor was worried deep after you collapsed yesterday night inside his throne room when he called you. Please act according to your age. That's what he said to me," he spoke up.
Kousei opened his eyes slightly. His hands went into a fist after he laid on his side. "I want to know why my brother took his life. He's not like that. I'm sure he wouldn't kill himself just because someone rejected him."
...
