"More wine?"
"Yes, please."
A small smile made its way to Lucija's lips as she excused herself to go grab a new bottle of wine that had been chilling in the refrigerator. She knew she didn't have to get it herself, but she wanted to.
"So, I was thinking, " She heard Prince say as she quietly made her way back to him, "We haven't taken a trip in a while. Maybe it's time that we do."
"Oh, where to?" She asks softly, her eyes focused on the glass in front of her as she poured the rich red liquid into it.
"I don't know, babe. Name a place and we'll go."
"I hate when you do that."
"What?" He thought his ears were deceiving him as his eyes widened at her words. Lucija sighed, sitting the wine bottle on the table and returning to the couch.
"You heard me, " she muttered, tucking her feet under her behind and taking a sip from her glass.
"Maybe it's time for you to put that glass down."
"Don't tell me what to do. You know I don't like that."
"Well, I don't like when you start arguments for no reason at all, " He eyed her as she scoffed and took another sip from her glass, "We were fine until you got a little attitude over nothing."
"No, we were fine until you brought up the fact that we haven't been on a trip in a while, " she smiled, adjusting her position on the couch. She could feel the anger coursing through her veins, but she decided to keep calm, "I'm well aware that the last trip we've taken was when we went to New York. I don't need you to point it out and then have me to name a place like you don't really want to go."
"First of all, New York wasn't the last trip we took. It was Miami. Second, if I didn't want to go anywhere I wouldn't have suggested it in the first place. You're the one who never wants to do anything."
"What do you mean I don't want to do anything? I never said that."
"You may not have said it, but your actions speak for you, " He took a sip of his wine and swallowed before he continued, "You're always too tired or too busy."
"I see where this is going, " she chuckled lowly, "You're feeling some type of way so you're trying to place the blame on me. If you'd get your head out of your ass for two seconds, you'd see the only one to blame here is you."
"How am I the one to blame exactly?"
"Whenever you come home, you're always going on about how tired you are. And when I try to give you a massage or kiss you, you say, 'baby, not tonight'. Now that the tables have turned and I've decided to leave you alone, there's a problem."
Prince scoffs, muttering something under his breath that Lucija didn't catch. Her eyes narrowed.
"Excuse me? I didn't hear what you said, " Eyebrow raised, she waited for him to repeat himself. He rolled his eyes.
"I didn't say anything, " Averting his gaze away from her intense stare, he scratched his ear, suddenly finding the wall in front of him very interesting. She chuckled.
"First you try to blame me for you not being happy, now you lie straight to my face. And terribly, I might add."
"Who said I was lying?"
"Oh please, " She waved him off, still chuckling lowly, "You scratch your ear every time you spill a lie out of those pretty lips of yours. I'm used to it by now."
"That's not true, " He mutters, shoulders slumping slightly. He was caught and he knew it. But he wouldn't let her know that.
"Yes, it is. I've seen you do it."
"Whatever. And I didn't say I wasn't happy. I'm very happy with you. I just want you to make love to me without me having to initiate it or beg you all the time. If I didn't know any better, I'd think you were cheating on me."
"And there it is, " she smiled, nodding, "The truth finally comes out."
"What truth?" Frowning slightly, he sits his glass on the table and reaches for the wine bottle only to discover it is now empty. He looks up at Lucija, watching as she finished off the last of the wine in her glass, "So, you're admitting you've been cheating on me?"
"Of course not. I should be asking you that same question."
"Why would you think I'd cheat on you?"
"I don't know, " Lucija shrugs, sitting her glass on the table, "Maybe because you've done it before. More than once. And I've taken you back. Now, I'm starting to regret making that decision."
"Oh really?" His gaze remained locked with hers, "So, you regret this? Us?"
"Of course not. I just regret taking you back, because all you're going to do is return to your old ways."
"I already told you I wasn't going to do it again. You've forgiven me. Why bring it up?"
"Because-," She began, sighing softly, stopping herself before she could say anything else she might regret, "I'm going to need some more wine before we have this conversation."
"I think more wine is only going to make it worse, " Prince muttered, watching as Lucija stood to her feet, "Just sit back down and let's finish this conversation."
"No, I want wine."
"Baby, please just sit down."
"I said no, Prince, " She turned to look at him, frowning slightly, "Don't tell me what to do."
"I'm not telling you what to do, " He sighed softly, speaking through gritted teeth, "I just want to finish this conversation so we can move on."
"You think we can just talk about this and move on like everything is fine?"
"That's what I'm hoping for."
"Well, you're an idiot if you think I'm just going to let this slide, " She mumbled, letting her weight shift from one foot to the other, "I'm going to get another bottle of wine. You can sit here and sulk if you want to."
"Yeah, like you'd make me feel better if I did, " Speaking quietly, he rolled his eyes, partially hoping she didn't see it, "You won't even touch me like you used to anymore."
"Well, look who's sounding like I was a few weeks ago, " She couldn't help the giggle that slipped past her lips. It felt good knowing that she held this much power over him. Or so she thought, "I could barely get you to look at me, let alone touch me. Now, you see how I feel."
"I can't help that I'm busy. It's not like I'm intentionally brushing you off," Waving off her accusations, he rolled his eyes again, "You're just trying to justify your reasoning for treating me like this."
"So, you think I'm just sitting around waiting for you to come home? I have a career I'm building from scratch, mind you, and yes, all I want you to do when you come home is hold me after a long day. Is that too much to ask?"
"Okay, I want that too, but I can't be at your beck and call all of the time. You have to understand that. We're not always going to be able to cuddle or any of that other stuff you'd like to do."
"Are you fucking-," Lucija began, sighing softly as she held back the words she really wanted to say at that moment. And they would've definitely hurt his feelings if she decided to speak her mind. Another soft sigh left her lips, "Let me get out of here before I say something to you that I'll regret."
"Like what?"
"You don't want to know."
"What do you mean I don't want to know?" Frowning slightly, although there was a bit of amusement in his tone, his eyes held his lover's gaze never wavering until he found the answer he was looking for, "I'm a big boy. I can handle whatever you think you have to say to me."
"See, this is another thing I can't stand about you, " She huffed, rolling her eyes, "You always downplay my threats."
Chuckling softly, he replied, "Because I know you're not serious half the time."
"What if I am?"
"You're not."
"I am, " She speaks quietly, her voice holding all of the authority needed for him to stop and listen, "And you shouldn't assume that I'm not serious. You'd only end up looking silly when you realize that you were wrong."
"Oh really?" A smile tugged at the corners of his lips, "I haven't been wrong yet. So, I doubt that I'd be wrong about this, baby."
"That little ego of yours has you lying already, I see. You've been wrong plenty of times before just like you're wrong now."
"Yeah, okay."
The low chuckle that slipped past Prince's lips only irritated Lucija even more. She scoffed, running her tongue over her teeth.
"Fuck you, Prince, " She glared at him, her lips pressed into a hard line. He smiled.
"That's what I'm trying to do, mama, " His hushed tone had her body quivering with need. No matter how much she wanted to show him that he wasn't affecting her, "But you're being so stubborn."
"Oh please. You know I didn't mean it that way. And I'm not being stubborn."
"Then how did you mean it, baby? There's no other way to tell someone you want them to fuck you better than that. And yes, you're definitely being stubborn, but don't worry, I've got something for that if you come over here."
"What if I don't want to come over there?" Lucija's heart was racing, and a smile was present on her lips, although her words exuded confidence. She let out a shaky breath, watching his lips curl into that mischievous smirk she loves so much.
"Then, I'll come over to you, sugar, " Prince stands to his feet, making his way to the empty spot next to her. She watches closely as he sits down, his legs slightly parted. He gently patted his thigh, "Come sit on my lap."
Lucija does as she's told, straddling his lap and wrapping her arms around his neck. Prince's hands immediately go to her behind, lightly rubbing and squeezing it. A soft moan slips past her lips, making him smile.
"Ride me, " His lips pressed against her ear and the low, raspy tone of his voice made it very difficult to say no. She was still upset with him, but her body apparently wasn't getting the message. Her hips bucked, rolling as if they had a mind of their own. He chuckled lowly, "You clearly want to."
"That was a reflex, " She waved him off, "I don't want to ride you."
"Oh really? Then why are you still moving?"
"I told you. Reflex."
"Well, your body is telling me something else, " Groaning softly, his hips rose to meet hers, "She's speaking... very loudly...and I'm listening to every word she's saying."
"Really?" With her lips just inches from his, her tongue swiped slowly over her bottom one, "What is she saying?"
"She's telling me to let go of this silly argument we were just having and make her feel good. Cause it's been a very long time and she needs me to scratch this itch."
"I doubt she said all of that."
"Oh, she did, " Prince's hand gently slid up her thigh, stopping right at the apex, "I hear her loud and clear. So clear, in fact, I'm about to grant her wish."
A soft gasp escaped Lucija's slightly parted lips at the feel of Prince's hand slipping between her thighs.
"Mmm, " Breathing labored, her hips moved in time with Prince's fingers as they pressed gentle circles into her soaked core, "Fuck."
"That's it, baby, " His warm breath against her ear evoked a low moan from her as his fingers slipped inside her underwear, "That's it."
"Don't think this changes...anything...I'm still mad at you."
"Oh, you won't be for long. Trust me."
"You and that ego of yours, " She replied, chuckling softly before a loud gasp escaped her lips.
"You were saying?" He chuckled lowly, his fingers still working her nether region into a frenzy. She smirked, rolling her eyes.
"Shut up."
"Still trying to tell me what to do, I see."
"No...I just...need to, " Moaning lowly, her tongue swept over her bottom lip before tucking it between her teeth.
"Do it then, baby, " The low growl against her ear nearly sent her over the edge, "Come."
Gripping onto Prince's shoulders for support, Lucija's body shook violently as she rode out her high. Her hips rocked back and forth the moment he removed his fingers, feeling his hardness throb underneath her.
He was ready and so was she.
"I really want to take you right here and now," He muttered, tucking his bottom lip between his teeth before letting go, "But I think we should head to the bedroom."
"Good Idea."
➰➰
The next morning, Lucija woke up with a migraine, a dry mouth, and a little pain in her shoulders.
What happened last night?
Too much to drink, She thought as she climbed out of bed and made her way to the bathroom, I need to take something for this migraine.
With a yawn and a soft sigh, she turned on the light, finally opening her half-closed lids as she walked over to the sink. A small yelp could be heard echoing throughout the quiet space the moment she caught a glimpse of her reflection in the mirror.
She had to do a double-take.
"What the hell?" Slapping her hand over her mouth, her eyes widened to the size of saucers. She couldn't believe what was happening right now.
Why does my voice sound like that?
Why am I seeing--No, this can't be right. Can
It?
Closing her eyes for a brief moment and slowly opening them again, she thought things would return to normal. Unfortunately, she was wrong when she looked in the mirror and saw that everything was still the same as they were when she opened her eyes.
I must be seeing things.
Yeah, I have to be seeing things.
Stepping away from the mirror, she made her way back into the bedroom. If this was real, there was only one way to find out.
Making her way over to the bed, she pulled the sheets away from the head of the sleeping frame in front of her. An almost inaudible gasp squeaked past her parted lips.
It was almost like she was having an out of body experience.
"What the hell happened last night?" She muttered, gawking at the person in front of her. That was definitely her body, but she wasn't in it.
Lucija took a soft, shaky breath and stepped forward. She needed answers. Now.
"Prince?" Gently shaking him by the arm, she waited for him to respond. All she received in return was a low grunt as he turned over on his left side. She sighed, rolling her eyes, "Wake up."
"Hmm?" Wide-eyed, he jumped up at the sound Lucija yelling, "What?"
"Something really strange happened last night."
"Well, I wouldn't really call what we did strange. A little unexpected, but not at all strange."
"I'm not talking about that, " She couldn't hide the smirk playing on the corners of her lips as she replayed last nights shenanigans in her mind, "Do you notice anything different about yourself?"
"No. Why?"
Her silence spoke volumes, causing Prince to become a bit frightened of what could have possibly happened to them. He quickly hopped out of bed and headed straight to the bathroom.
Flipping the light switch, his now brown orbs widened once he came face to face with his reflection in the mirror in front of him.
"What the hell?" He muttered softly, watching his brows furrow and his full lips move with every word as he continued gawking at himself. He looked away briefly, raising his left hand to eye level.
How did he miss the smooth skin?
The voice?
The nails?
The hair?
"Crazy, right?" Lucija says quietly, walking up behind him, "I didn't think something like this would happen."
"How did this happen?"
"I don't know."
"There has to be a way to fix this. Right?" Prince asks, gently nibbling on his bottom lip as he waited for her reply.
"Right. I'm sure there has to be."
"You don't sound too confident about that, " Sighing softly, he took another look at himself in the mirror, "I have too much to do today. I can't be seen like this."
"Well, maybe it's time for that break you were always telling me about, " Stepping a little closer to him, she places her hand on his shoulder, "No one would have to know about this. We can stay in the house and figure out how to get things back to normal."
"I wish I could, but I have a very important meeting scheduled for 5 p.m. today."
"Reschedule it."
"I can't. This is the only day the meeting could be held, " He sighs softly, "You're going to have to go in my place."
"What?" Eyes widening, Lucija immediately shakes her head, "No. I can't."
"I don't see any other option here. Especially if we don't figure out how to get back to normal in time."
"Then, we'll just have to start figuring it out right now, won't we?"
"You just don't want to go to this meeting," He chuckled, turning off the light and making his way back into the bedroom. She smirked, following him.
"I never said that," Taking a seat on the bed, her eyes met his. A nervous chuckle escaped her lips, "I just...think that it would be better if it were you—the real you—attending the meeting."
"Well, let's figure out how to get out of this mess and go from there. Okay?"
"Okay."
A/N: I'm gonna stop it right there, cause this was way too long lol. I hope it made up for my not updating in quite some time. Lucija, I hope you and everyone else enjoyed it. This was fun to write 🤗💖.
