Eli:

I pick myself up off the chair that I fell into, as my father helps me stand.

"Eli? Is everything ok?" Jessica's worried eyes hurt me a little.

"Why Eli?!" Ember roars in my head.

"It's not right Em, you know that..."

"Yes..." I clear my throat. "Everything is fine Jess." I try to sound totally normal, as I run my hands through my hair. I smile down at her again as her eyebrows knit together, probably trying to get a read on me.

My father stands there staring at us with a big toothy grin. He normally looks pretty scary, but something about Jessica seems to make him act like his silly dad self. I'm waiting for the horrible Dad joke to come.

"I love titan's jokes Eli!" Ember yips in my brain.

"Yes Father?" I look over at him.

"I just came in to ask Jessica if she heard the rumor about butter?"

I roll my eyes.

Jessica looks up at him confused, "I'm sorry King Christopher, I'm not sure what you mean..."

"Well I'm not going to spread it!" My father says wiggling his eyebrows at her as she immediately starts cracking up.

There it is.

I sigh. "I can't even be upset Em."

"Why be mad at Titan's joke?! Titan funny." Ember yips in my brain.

"He made her laugh, I love her laugh."

A smile spreads across my face as he sits down on the bed next to her. "How are you feeling Jess? Are you ok if I ask you some questions about what happened tonight?"

I felt myself move back into the chair next to her bed and take her hand.

She instantly looks up at me and smiles big.

"Well, sure King Christopher, but..." She takes a deep breath before glaring at me again. "I have a questions for you."

My father's face lights up. He has a soft spot for Jessica already. He knows she's my mate and I think he secretly always wanted a daughter. This last week he and my mother have found every reason to give her whatever she wanted. They even stocked the freezer full of ice cream after they realized she liked it.

"Of course Jessica. Please, ask me anything." He sat up a little straighter.

Jessica pulled her legs in, sitting back on her heels. She probably wanted to be taller, since we sort of towered over her even while seated.

"So, the full moon is coming up, and, I want to be with Ember. Please? I really truly believe Ember would never hurt me." She gives him the same puppy dog eyes she gave me the other night.

My heart fluttered in my chest.

"How can we deny mate Eli?" Ember whines.

My father let's out a big sigh, looking up at me with a half smile. He looks back to Jessica. "You're right Jessica. I don't think Ember would ever hurt you. I honestly don't think he could." He chuckles looking back at her desperate eyes. "You're quite powerful." He crosses his arms over his chest as Jessica's smile grows. I roll my eyes. There's no way he's going to just ignore a century old law.

"Shush Eli! Mate deserve time with me!" Ember growls in my mind.

My father is still tapping his chin as I sigh. "Father, I already told her about the law..." He hold his hand up to silence me.

"If Micheal says it's ok, I will allow it this one time." Jessica jumps from the bed and hugs him squealing.

"THANK YOU thank you THANK YOU King Christopher!" She pulls him in closer as my father gently wraps his arms around her.

"See, Titan loves mate." Ember rumbles out in my mind.

"Wow Em, he really does..." I respond.

"Father, are you sure?" I ask him, interrupting his hugs which seems to bother him.

Jessica hops out of the bed and stands in front of me. "See Eli? No harm in asking. Besides, only you think Ember is too cuddly and sweet. I happen to enjoy his company." She crosses her arms over her chest and huffs.

I reach out and rub her arm. Forcing her eyes to mine as we both feel the spark. "Ok Jessica. If that's really what you want, I'll take you to your father and we can ask him ok?"

Her whole face lights up as she throws her arms around me. "YAY! I'm sure my dad will say yes if King Christopher says it's ok."

She turns back to my father, slowly leaving my arms. You can tell she likes it in my arms as much as I do.

"Why do you fight mate hugs..." Ember tisks at me.

I shake my head trying to ignore Ember.

"Ok King Christopher, ask me your questions." She sits down on the bed next to him. Her beautiful brown hair flowing down around her.

My father clears his throat. "Ok Jessica, I want to start by saying that we have reason to believe that your abilities come directly from the moon goddess herself."

Both Jessica and I stared at my father in shock.

Jess:

"The moon goddess?! Wow Jess, you are so lucky!" Jennikah said as she wrapped herself in her blanket on the couch in Rosette's room. I never realized how amazing the remodeled rooms will look. This room is more like an apartment. Complete with a small kitchenette, dinning area and living room. I can tell Rosette had decorated the whole space. Everything looks so fluffy, bright, and clean.

Note to self; ask Eli about when the remodeled rooms will be ready.

After the questions from King Christopher, Eli walked me back to my room so I could shower and change. He left in a hurry since all the warriors had to be debriefed.

"Wait, so, according to our history, there's only ever been one other female with these type of abilities?" Sky asked as he handed the container of ice cream to me. He shivered as he tried to wrap himself back up in his blanket.

All us females or Omega mates were stuck on lock down. Only the warriors were allowed out of the castle. We met up in Rosette's room with our blankets and ice cream as we all huddled on her couch. Rosette wasn't doing too well. This was the largest battle she'd ever experienced and seeing Vik in battle was really difficult for her to process.

"I guess it's one of your fairy tales? Princess Reena I believe was her name." They all gasped.

I chuckled, "Is that bad? I'm not going to lie. I'm kinda nervous..." I quickly took another bite of ice cream before passing it to Rosette.

Rosette peaked her head out of her blanket. "I don't think it's bad, it's just, she was so powerful."

Of course I end up with some sort of magical moon goddess power.

I shrug my shoulders, "I don't even know what kind of powers the moon goddess has."

We all sit in silence for a moment passing around the ice cream.

"OK NEW SUBJECT!" Sky announces. "I'm done with all this downer talk. The full moon begins tomorrow at midnight. So, whats the plan guys?!"

Everyone perks up. "I'm so happy I get to spend time with Ember. I'm so excited!"

Jennikah speaks up. "Obviously dancing. Bowmani loves to dance!"

Sky perked up. "Oh my, then him and Ember will get along very well." I chuckle as Sky laughs.

Ember loves to dance?

"Really? Ember likes to dance?!" I start to get excited.

Rosette nods her head as a big smile spreads across her face. "Vik always wants to flip around, race, wrestle, throw me around..."

We all laugh. Jennikah is the first to catch her breath. "So Vik is the wild one I take it. Bowmani can get quite wild too. Maybe he will have someone to wrestle with then."

Sky chuckles. "Oh yea. Beckett will want to play music with me, he plays the drums. He also wants to be very close to me. All. The. time."

I furrow my brows. "Beckett is cuddly then?" I giggle. "And he plays music?" I shake my head from side to side. "I can't picture it. Next you'll tell me he actually laughs too."

Sky glares at me. Rosette and Jennikah laugh.

I roll my eyes at him. "Oh come on Sky! He's always so serious and doesn't even like me. What do you expect?"

Sky let's out a sigh. "You just don't know the real Ryan yet. That's all." He huffs. I move closer to him, trying to snuggle into his side.

That was rude Jess.

"I'm sorry Sky. I will make a real effort to get to know Beckett during the full moon. I promise!" I look up at him and see a smile begin to form on his lips.

Jennikah pipes up. "This is going to be so fun! OH! We should have a sleepover the night before! Make sure we all get into bed early so we can stay up late with the boys."

We all bounce around excitedly as we begin to plan out our evening. Rosette is in charge of setting us up in the Grand Warrior Lounge. A huge room with a big screen TV, amazing sound system, and a small kitchen. Jennikah is in charge of entertainment. Sky is in charge of food with me.

Since we're the only two who know our way around the kitchen.

Soon we were all yawning as I slowly tried to drag myself up and out of Rosette's room. It was 2am.

Agh. So late.

Sky and I slowly made our way to our room after dropping off Jennikah at her room next to Rosette's.

"Hey Sky? Can I ask you something?" I whispered out. The castle felt so empty without all the hustle and bustle of warriors and mates running around.

"Sure. What's up Jess?" Sky looked down at me as we slowly made our way up the next flight of stairs.

"So Eli and I were cuddling earlier..." I started as I felt my face get warm.

Stupid blushing.

Sky raised an eyebrow. "Ok, go on..." He smirked at me.

"Well, when his dad came in the room he practically fell off the bed trying to get away from me." I pulled the blanket up over my shoulders a little higher, trying to hide my red face.

Skyler chuckled. I glare at him.

"Hey!" I playfully knocked him playfully with my shoulder.

He laughs out loud this time. "OK OK Jess. Prince Eli has always been a stickler for the rules. We're not supposed to cuddle with just anyone. If you have not marked your mate, it's not typical to cuddle with each other."

I scrunch my face as I thought about their culture. I forgot they don't even date.

So I can't cuddle with Eli unless I've fully accepted our mate bond?

"So I can't cuddle with Ember during the full moon then?" I asked Sky a little sad.

He stopped as we finally made it to the to our floor. "No Jess. That's different. Well?" He shifts from foot to foot thinking about it.

I sigh and roll my eyes. "It's fine Sky. I'll just keep my distance." I huff as I start to walk to my room.

"Wait, Jess!" Sky stops me as I'm about to attempt to open my door. "Honestly, I don't think it's a big deal. Trust me. All the werewolf males will be all over their mates anyway. I really don't think anyone will notice. Besides, Ember isn't going to let you get away without 'mate hugs'." He chuckles. Shaking his head as I smile. "I swear to you Jess. Ember has done nothing but talk about Mate hugs every full moon. Now that, um..." He stops himself.

Now that he has a mate.

I smirk to myself. Prince Eli. My mate. I kinda like the sound of that.

I giggle. "It's fine Sky. I know I have to wait until my birthday to know for sure, but, I'm sensing a pull towards Eli. I'm leaning more towards this whole notion that he's my mate."

Sky's eyes light up as he squeals. "Jessica! I'm so excited for you two! This Full Moon is going to be the best ever!" he wiggles his eyebrows at me as I hear the door at the end of the hall open.

"Skyler." I hear Ryan's familiar deep voice call out from down the hall. It makes Skyler smile big, but I try to force a smile as I look around him towards Ryan.

"Hey Ryan." I can't even fake excitement.

"Jessica. You should be resting." He tells me as he begins to walk down the hallway in only his sleep pants. Holy cow he's so big. Why does he look bigger all of a sudden?

I try to push open the door as he walks up, desperate to make a quick get-a-way.

Too late.

"Skyler. I thought I told you to make sure Jessica got into bed early tonight." He looks down at both of us. His eyebrows knit together. Why does he sound like my dad all the time.

Jeez.

Skyler wraps his arms around him quickly. "Sorry Boo. We were making plans for tomorrow and talking about Mate stuff."

He raised an eyebrow at him then he looks back at me. He's visibly more relaxed now, with an arm around Skyler, holding him close. His face though.

Another story all together.

"Mate stuff huh?" He taps his chin before looking down at me. "Was Prince Eli mentioned in this conversation at all?"

I feel my face heat up as I glare at him.

He smirks. "I'll take that as a yes." Skyler glares at him. "Oh come on now. Aren't you the one, oh matchmaker, who knew these two were supposed to be together from the beginning?"

Skyler punched him in the stomach, but it backfired as he shook his hand out and Ryan laughed.

Ryan actually laughed. His laugh was so warm and deep it actually made me laugh too.

"Wait, Sky? A matchmaker? I thought you guys don't date though." I asked curiously.

Skyler sighed as Ryan pulled him in closer, kissing his forehead. "That's a long story Jess." He yawns. "And I'm too tired to tell it." He grabs Ryan's arm and pulls him away from my room and back down the hallway. "Come on Boo. Let's cuddle and sleep."

Ryan chuckles. "That's why you were supposed to rest Love. I'm in for cuddling, but..."

He was cut off my the door closing.

Just in time.

I shake my head as I try to push open my door. I finally get it open landing fast first on my bed.

It didn't take long for me to kick off my shoes and snuggle deeper into the blankets.

I closed my eyes, focusing on lowering the sounds of the night so I could sleep.

Moon goddess powers huh? I wonder what else I can do...

That was my final thought before drifting off into a deep sleep.
