Arranged Marriage

(Dan's Pov)

"Arranged Marriage?" I couldn't believe those words left my mouth. I stared at my parents in disbelief. "Sweethearts I know it's not what you thought it's how you'll meet your wife, but we are in a bit of trouble. If you don't marry then our neighbor country will wonder why you won't meet their daughters. That country has no benefit to us, poor and weak. Instead we chose the county Alidiná, that kingdom is on our status, and extremely beneficial with wealth and history," There parents said looking at both Dan and his brother.

"Can we choose which princesses," asked brother excepting the situation. "Unfortunately no. You are the oldest so you need to stay here, Dan however can rule their land. Argo You gets the oldest, he gets the youngest," said his mother. I stared at them, hoping that they would laugh and say something like: haha gottacha. But they didn't. Before we knew it we were sent to their kingdom. What the hell was happening.

Brother and I entered the palace. "Oh wow this is amazing," I whispered. It was an architectural master piece. "Welcome," said the king as he and the queen walked up to us. "You must be the princes of Dragikö. It's a pleasure to have you here," he smiled. "It's an honor sir," My brother bowed and I did the same. "I take it you want to meet the princesses," smiled the queen. "Of course you're majesty," He smiled. They motioned twords the door to our left. Piano music swelled the room, the grand doors opened and my heart stopped. She was beautiful. Soft (h/c) hair, (e/c) eyes... Absolutely gorgeous. The girl behind her was cute too I guess. Bouncey light brown hair, green eyes. She looked just like the queen.

We took a deep breath as we opened the door. So these were the boys... I don't understand why we have to do this. Why we have to get treated like objects that our parents can give away. At least they look cute. Why do we even have to get married. Our kingdom is one of the most wealthy and power countries in the world. Complete bullshit, I can rule this country myself. I just don't understand.

~flash back~

"Miki, (y/n). We have something to tell you," called Father from the throne room. "What is it papa," asked Miki. "You are both going to be wed to the princes of the Dagik-" "NO FUCKING WA-" I was stopped. With a slap the room went dead. "Silence, do you know how lucky you are! These boys will bring status, riches. Think of someone besides your self. A women should learn her place. I want to hear nothing else from you. Back to your studies," Father snapped. "I hate you!" I Screamed as she ran away.

They walked up to us, "this our oldest Daughter (y/n), and our youngest Miki," smiled the queen. My heart sank, the gorgeous girl was for my brother. Not that Miki was a bad choice, but there was something about (y/n) that drew me in. "How about we have dinner and after you all can talk. The weddings are soon after all," smiled the Queen. "Brilliant idea," my brother smiled as he held (y/n)'s hand. "Yeah," I replied.

We were lead into the dinning room. My brother and I were on one side, the girls on the other, and the parents at the ends of the table. The queen rang a little bell, and servants stormed the dinning room! Plate after plate! Oh my god everything looked delicious! Lobster, flan, stake, cakes, shrimp, chicken, and so much more! Even a freaking chocolate fountain! Yet (y/n) only picked at her food. She smiled yet I knew she wasn't happy. I wonder what was going on in her head.

Why does he keep staring at me... His coffee eyes, his smile. We locked eyes and he blushed. Yet I could feel my face warm up when he smiled at me. Oh no. I can't be...I can't be falling for my sisters husband. After dinner we were lead into the living room. We sat down. I guess this is where we get to know each other better.

"So (y/n), what are your interests," smiled the oldest one. "I do combat, I study languages, write novels and I play the violin," I answered quickly. "Combat? What's a pretty girl like you learning combat," he smirked. "To make sure it's hard for bastards like you to hurt me," she glared. "Sister!" Gasped Miki.

"I'm sorry," she mumbled yet we knew she didn't mean it. "I think that's cool," I smiled. "Hm. You'd be the first," sighed (y/n). "What are your hobbies," Miki asked. "Oh I do some archery, chess, mostly just stay inside all day," I responded. "He's a bit of a nerd," chuckled my brother. "I think that's nice. It's a nice change of pace from the 'macho' men we usually meet," said (y/n). "I see," he responded.

"So Miki how old are you," I asked. "Oh I'm 16.," she smiled. No way, No fucking way! I'm 23!!!!! This isn't good! "What about you (y/n)?" My brother asked. "I'm too young for you," she sassed. "Sister please," gasped Miki. "I'm 21," she huffed. "And you Dan," Miki smiled. "I'm 23," I said. "No way! You look like your barely 18," said Miki astonished. "Uh thanks, I guess," I smiled nervously.

We kept talking. Miki was alright, but she didn't seem interested in any of my hobbies, and seemed like she was trying too hard. "So what's it like to live here," I asked politely. "Well, we start our day with tea, breakfast, then we do our lessons. I play the piano, (y/n) plays the violin. Um we then go to politic meetings, then studies, then free time till bed," Miki smiled. "Nothing exciting, but that's our life," sighed (y/n). "Well how about we go do something fun," I smiled. "Like what," my brother asked raising his brow. "Let's go in to town. Maybe check out the shops," I smiled. "I'm in," (y/n) smirked. "We can't, we have lessons soon," said Miki. "Oh come on. It'll be fun," (y/n) smiled. "Oh ok," she sighed.

We boarded the carriage and headed to town. When we arrived everyone seemed to be so happy to see the princesses. People were laughing having a great time, and I think I finally say (y/n) smiling sincerely. It was breath taking. She seemed to forget about everything. I wish she was the one I'd marry...
