9- So complicated

The security and Jason mirrored my action after seeing Elijah stand right behind me. I didn't have to turn my head in order to know that he was pissed. I couldn't move, I sat frozen on the ground looking at my brother, who finally slid off the guard slowly.

The security guard was the first one to gain courage as he straightened his back with a cleared throat.
"Sir." He greeted and seconds later I felt two warm hands under my arms. I let him help me stand up without turning to look at him.

"Sir? That's all you have to say?" Elijah's hands left me and he walked past me, towards the guard and Jason. The guard lowered his head in shame and I saw Elijah's head turn towards my brother.

"What do you have to say?" He asked, his tone as stern as if he was talking to a child. Jason's eyes widened, before he glanced at me.
"I was just helping my sister out." My eyes widened before they glared at him.

"You're a bitch for blaming it on your sister." Elijah said and I bit my lip, trying not to laugh at Jason's surprised expression.
"But-" Elijah held up a hand, before walking past them. He took a towel out of his locker, acting as if he were alone.

"You two leave." He glared at my brother and the guard, before setting his eyes on me.
"You stay." He was still glaring and I gulped when he walked into another door. I was guessing he was going to shower. Jason looked at me and I sighed, before nodding.

"I'll wait outside." He said and I watched him and the guard leave. Elijah looked furious and even if I left now, he would most likely break into my house again. And we both know what happened after. So better get it over with now. I knew I didn't want anything to do with him anymore, so better tell him now before I changed my moody mind. I really worried about my mental health lately.

I sighed and sat down on the bench in front of the lockers. I mean, why the heck did I let him take my virginity?! Yes, he's hot and so damn interesting. But I wasn't planning on becoming like Stacey. Someone who enjoys sex and does it regularly just for fun. I actually wanted to be married first and then have sex with the only purpose of having children. It's actually laughable how naive I was.

Before I could continue inwardly laughing at myself I heard footsteps walking towards me. I stood up and turned to see Elijah in a towel that hung low around his hips. Oh, gosh. The water was dripping down his pumped up chest and I hated myself for thinking about...stuff.

Elijah didn't say a word as he came to stop in front of me. I kept my gaze on his chest when I felt him invade my privacy. He was so close, I could smell his coconut shampoo. I could feel his body warmth.

I felt his finger under my chin, lifting it up so I looked into his grey eyes. He leaned down and his warm lips met mine. We shared a long and passionate kiss and my mind went numb. He pushed me against the side of the locker and I felt his hands fidget with my coat. He wanted it off and I realized what we were doing. Gosh, get a grip!

I placed my hands on his chest and pushed him away roughly. Elijah stumbled backwards and shot me a surprised look. What was I doing?! Damn it. I got away from the lockers and took a few steps away from him, building a save distance between us.

"What-"
"No! We're not doing this again. I didn't come here for that." I said, pointing my index finger at him. I looked at my purse that was on the floor and picked it up, before trying to open it again. Ugh! I got frustrated and slammed the purse against Elijah' chest.

"Lilah, calm down. What the fuck?!" He exclaimed, pulling the purse away from me.
"No, I won't calm down! What do you think you're doing? I haven't seen you in two weeks and you kiss me as if nothing happened." I snapped.

"If we're not going to fuck, let me get dressed first." He had the nerve to growl at me. I opened my mouth to scowl at him, but he already started taking his towel off. I turned around swiftly, a blush creeping up my cheeks. I heard him chuckle, which reminded me of what he said and I crossed my arms over my chest.

I heard shifting and a few minutes later, I heard him sit down on the wooden bench.
"Turn around." He ordered and I rolled my eyes at his tone, before turning around. He was sitting at the bench, now fully clothed with his white shirt under his leather jacket and his blue jeans. He looked like a typical bad boy, not to forgot his tattoos.

"What are you doing here?" He finally asked and I pointed at the purse that was placed next to him.
"Open it." I said when he glanced at it with disinterested. He picked it up and opened it. Of course he manages to open it on the first try!

I stepped closer towards him and take a hold of the purse. I get the envelope that has all the money inside and held it out for him to take. He glanced at it, before crossing his arms over his chest.
"What is this?" He asked, leaning back to look up at me.

"The money you gave me. Thanks but I only needed a few bucks, not seven hundred dollars." I threw the envelope against his chest when he still didn't take it. He let it slide down his chest and it hit the floor. I narrowed my eyes at him, before turning around. Asshole, I thought while intending to walk away from him.

"Hold up." He got a hold of my elbow, even before I could take a step. He stood up and pushed me against the locker once again. This time he crossed his arms across his chest, the gap between us allowing me to breath.

"And?" He lifted an eyebrow, glancing down at my stomach.
"I'm not pregnant and thankfully free from STD's. I'd still check if I were you." I rolled my eyes. He scowled at me.

"I'm clean." He stated and I nodded.
"Sure." I said before pushing myself off the locker, wanting to walk away. But he pushed me back roughly, so my back hit the locker again.

"What is your problem?" I snapped at him and he narrowed his stupid eyes at me.
"What's up with you?" He frowned at my tone.

I don't know, maybe the fact that I want to repeat the things we did last time we saw each other, even though you're the biggest asshole in the world.

"Just let me go. We're done. Isn't that what you wanted?" I glared.
"We're done?" He chuckled, before licking his lips. My breath hitched. He shook his head, pressing his body against mine.

"We're done when I stop thinking about you." He breathed out and I gulped. I wanted to kiss him senseless again. But the smarter part of my brain told me to be careful. I pushed on his chest again and he groaned.

"Fuck, you're so complicated." He hissed, sitting back down on the bench in front of me.
"I'm complicated?! Are you serious?" I placed my hands on my hips and he glanced at that, before nodding up at me.

"You're very funny, Elijah. If that's even your name." I scoffed and he glared.
"That is my name." He told me.
"What is your surname?" I asked and he actually chuckled in response, while shaking his head.

"Where do you live?" I continued my interrogation and he narrowed his eyes when I took a step closer.
"How many siblings do you have?" Another step.
"Do you have a second name?" I took another tiny step towards him.

"Favourite colour?"
"Favourite food?"
"Favourite movie?" I finally stopped only an inch away from him. He had a clenched jaw when I smiled down at him sweetly.

"See? Simple questions and no answer from you. And I'm the complicated one here?" I said sarcastically, before waiting for any sign of defeat in his face. But he looked away from me in anger, his fists clenched.

I took that as my cue to leave and got a hold of my purse. The envelope was still on the ground, but at least I gave it back to him. It's his money, he can treat it the way he wants. My heels clicked, echoing through the room as I walked towards the door. Jason smiled at me and I was relieved to see him actually waiting right outside.

"How was it?" He asked and I sighed, suddenly feeling exhausted.
"Let's just go home." I answered.

STACEY'S PoV:

My eyes shot open when I heard hard pounding on Toby's room door. The naked man next to me groaned and stood up.

"Toby!" A voice slurred and I frowned. This is the third time I've slept here and every time Clark was drunk. Toby told me he was suffering from a break up and I had no doubt he meant Lilah, even though they never dated. But Toby liked to make fun of his best friend.

"Toby, stop fucking and start being a friend!" Clark was getting impatient and I rolled my eyes and threw the blanket over my head, just in case he opened the door himself. Toby groaned again as he threw some boxers on. A shirt followed and I looked at the alarm clock at the nightstand when he walked out of my sight to open the door. Two fucking a.m.

"Hey man." I could practically imagine Clark's lazy smile when he said that.
"Elijah, what the fuck is wrong with you?" Toby scowled and I frowned at what he called him.

His name was Elijah? Why the fuck did he call him Clark? Jesus, I'm doing a really bad job at finding out more about that guy. But I've just been a little distracted lately. Even though I did try to go into his room the first night, Toby caught me, saying Clark would kill him if he found out someone was in his room. So for the sake of it, I didn't go into his room anymore. I'm a bad friend.

"She left again, saying how complicated I am. I knew I should've fucking knocked her up. But she was too smart, damn it." I almost laughed at the last part Elijah/Clark said, but refrained from it when I heard Toby's stern voice.

"You do realize that I was joking about that?" He asked his friend.
"You were? I almost really impregnated her." The drunken voice whispered and it was really hard not to laugh at that.

"Dude, you can't just force someone to be with you. You actually do have to make some effort. Didn't you learn from previous relationships?" Toby asked.
"I never had a relationship, you know that." I smiled at that. That's so cute.

"I know, I just wanted Sarah to hear that." Toby joked and my eyes widened.
"You asshole. No, Sarah! I was just joking!" I heard his loud voice and giggled.

"Go to bed, Clark." Toby sighed and I heard Clark sigh before muttering something I didn't quite get. Then the door closed again and Toby was back by my side in the bed, snuggling against me.

"Your roommate is so weird." I told him, hoping he'd give me some more information about Elijah/Clark.

"He's actually a really good guy. He's fallen for that girl years ago. Apparently when I said that if he wants her to stay, he should knock her up, he took it quite literally. Such an idiot, but I'm happy he finally got a hold of her." My eyes widened. What? Are we still talking about Lilah?

"What's the girl's name?" I asked, I had to make sure.
"Lilly or something like that. Why?" He asked and I shrugged.
"I just wanted to see if I knew her. But I don't know any Lilly." I wasn't exactly lying.

"Could've been another name too, I don't really remember. He's always drunk when he mentions her, I must've been drunk as well." He informed me.
"Why?" I asked and he shrugged.

"Elijah's a man who values his privacy. I'm his best friend, but I don't even know his second name, if he even has one." He chuckled.

Interesting.
