18 - Epilogue
"You can't look." Jason said as he led me out of the car. I sighed, hearing that sentence for the fortieth time now. I get it, it's a surprise. I felt the concrete underneath me and smelled the air. It didn't give anything away.
"Are we almost there?" I asked my brother, who stopped me.
"Yes. Take your blindfold off." He said and I did. My eyes needed some time to adjust to the light and when they did, I gasped.
"Oh my god." I said when I saw that we stopped in front of Jim's gym. Only now it wasn't called Jim's gym anymore.
"Yes, we picked it out together." Jason said and I saw my boyfriend of six months walking towards me.
"You like it?" Elijah asks, coming to kiss my cheek.
"Like it? I love it." Lilah's was the new name of the gym. It said it in bright red letters. My two favourite boys high fived each other and I smiled.
"But if that's another way to get me into the gym, nice try." I joked, making Elijah laugh.
"As if. You're perfect, baby." He kissed me lovingly and Jason sighed.
"Guys, a peck is okay. But making out in front of me is a little too much." He told us, like always when we kissed in front of him. I rolled my eyes.
"Let's go inside." I said and intertwined mine and Elijah's hands. We walked inside together and I saw a bunch of people inside. What was happening?
"Why are all these people here?" I asked Jason, since he managed the place.
I was proud of him and Elijah for finally becoming the good friends I hoped they would become. It took Elijah another two months until he finally proposed his idea to my brother. Jason was more than just eager to work with the famous Prince Charmink.
"They're checking the place out. Most of them are professional fighters or managers of such. Elijah and his manager compromised to at least one fight a week. Just like I wanted it, remember? Every Saturday there will be a fight, a legal one. With Prince Charming doing the honour of introducing this gym with the very first fight." Jason informed me.
"I'm so proud of you guys. It's amazing. I would've never in my dreams imagined it to turn out that well." I said and Elijah pecked my cheek.
"I know, all thanks to you." He said.
"How so?" I asked, making him wink.
"You know I would've never known about your brother's dream. This would not have happened if you weren't so bad at keeping secrets from me." He laughed when I glared at him.
"I can keep secrets. Like the one I decided not to tell you, because you would beat Jason to plump." I said, my nose held high and Jason started coughing next to me. Elijah glared at the both of us.
"Which one?" He asked me and I shook my head.
"Nope, not going to happen." He sighed at that, but before he could interrogate me any further, a voice interrupted us.
"If it isn't the woman of our all lives." Toby joked and I turned around after rolling my eyes. He hugged me and I hugged him back. Stacey smiled at me from next to him and we hugged each other as well.
"Hey, what are you guys doing here?" I asked and they shrugged, Toby looked around.
"Thought we'd participate on that special day of yours." He smiled and I nodded. Right. He was here for the free food, I sensed.
"I'm so happy for you guys." Stacey looked at us.
"Thanks. If you'll excuse me. I'm taste testing the chicken." Elijah pecked my cheek and left us alone. At least he wasn't ignoring her anymore.
After that night at Elijah's where I found out that Stacey has been with his roommate for quite a while, I forgave her. After she told me the whole reason of her being there, of course. She was basically prostituting herself because of me. If she wasn't a good friend, who was?
Toby of course wasn't exactly happy about the fact that he called his girlfriend Sarah all this time. He also didn't enjoy knowing about her basically using him all this time. I still have to ask her how she managed to calm him down, because he seemed really angry.
It wasn't until two months ago that they made up and are now back together. Stacey actually liked someone again, who had a brain at least and also treated her right. So I hoped her and Toby would come back together, despite the fact that if I were Toby, there was no way I'd take her back. That shows just how much he actually liked her.
She found the perfect opportunity to apologize to Elijah for all the bad things she's caused him. It was at Toby's birthday dinner a few weeks ago. Elijah acknowledged her apology with a nod and refrained from scowling at her whenever he saw her. Now he even answered her and I was pretty sure soon, they'll act like actual acquaintances.
"This is so amazing. This building has your name on it, how do you feel about that?" She asked me and I smiled smugly.
"Pretty good." Jason laughed at that and ruffled my hair playfully.
"I'm gonna go and talk to a few people. You guys have fun." He said and vanished into the crowd. Toby was gone too and I looked around us. How come everybody left?
"So, how is it to be with a professional fighter?" She asked me and I let out a breath.
"Exhausting." I joked and she laughed.
"How is it to be with a... Toby?" I asked, making her laugh.
"Tiring." She said and I giggled.
"No, he's amazing. Hey, Lilah. I need to tell you something. But you have to promise me not to make a scene." She glanced around us and I nodded. I wasn't about to make a scene around all these strangers.
"Shoot." I said and she took a deep breath.
"I'm pregnant." My eyes widened at that and I started coughing uncontrollably.
"You're what?!" A few heads turned towards us and I lowered mine.
"Seven weeks in." She said and I did the maths.
"Wait." I held myself back from laughing.
"That was before you got back together." I said and she nodded.
"Did he pull the Toby on you?" I narrowed my eyes at her and she frowned in confusion.
"Toby what?" Toby suddenly appeared next to her and I glared at him.
"Did you pull the Toby on her?" I asked him and he blinked.
"What the fuck is the Toby?" Elijah came to stand next to me.
"You know, the Toby." He told his best friend. He still had no idea and Elijah glanced at Stacey's belly, before looking back at his roommate.
"The Toby." He said again and Toby's eyes widened.
"No way. And why the heck would you call it the Toby? I don't do that." He scoffed and Elijah and I laughed.
"Well, you did tell me to do that." Elijah started.
"And I almost got pregnant because of that." I finished as Toby rolled his eyes.
"How often do I have to apologize? I get it, I'm a dick. But to answer your question, no. I did not pull the Toby on her. It just happened." He said and we nodded.
"So, you finally told her, huh." Elijah said to Stacey, who nodded with a tight smile.
"Wait, you knew?" I asked him and he shrugged.
"Yeah, Toby told me."
"Toby told you what?" Jason suddenly appeared next to me.
"About the baby." Elijah answered and Jason nodded.
"Wait, you knew too?" I asked. What the heck?
"Yeah, Elijah told me." I glared at my boyfriend after hearing that.
"How come you tell him and not me?" I asked him and he looked at Stacey.
"Well, I wanted to tell you." She informed me and my anger vanished.
"Oh. Well, I'm happy for you. Even though you're young and not married." I said, making her laugh.
"I knew you'd say that. Even though you did let a stranger take your virginity." She shrugged and my jaw dropped open, cheeks blushed.
"Stacey!" I said and everybody laughed at me, even Elijah.
"That's not funny." I scoffed and he threw an arm around my shoulder, pulling me towards him.
"I love you." He nuzzled my nose with his and I sighed.
"Whatever."

"I still can't believe Stacey's pregnant and I'll be an aunt in less than nine months." I told Elijah, snuggling deeper into his warm chest after finally settling down in bed. It was already dark outside and my feet were exhausted from wearing those heels all day.
"Enough of her." Elijah rolled us over, so he was now hovering above me.
"How did you like the gym?" He asked, his curious eyes searching mine. God, I love this man.
"I love it. Almost as much as I love you." I pulled him down by his neck and kissed him lovingly. We continued our make out session until we broke apart, panting out of breath.
"I love you too." He said and then shook his head, a cute smile on his lips. I lifted an eyebrow.
"What?" I asked, running my finger up and down his bicep. He shuddered and then bit his lip.
"Remember when we first said 'I love you' to each other?" He asked me and I nodded. How could I ever forget that?
"I just- I still can't believe I almost walked out that day, without so much as a good bye. If you haven't told me how you found the box... my stupid ass with the trust issues would've never found happiness. I would've never-" I placed a finger over his lips, shushing him and making him close his eyes.
"We would've found each other again. You think I would just give you up? Even if I would've taken a year to realize that I needed you, I would come back." I said, blushing at how cheesy that sounded and he chuckled before leaning down to kiss my cheeks.
"And if not, I'd just try to get into that club again and make you angry." I giggled when he glared mockingly.
"Speaking of that night. I realize I never asked what happened when you brought me home. Did you just put the Tylenol out and then left?" I asked him.
"We had a heavy make out session and you told me about your life. Don't think I took advantage of you, you kissed me the whole time. I just didn't want to risk making you cry." He smirked and I rolled my eyes, despite my blush.
"And then?" I asked, making him shrug and settle down to lay next to me again. He pulled me onto his chest and sighed, before continuing.
"I waited until you fell asleep, before leaving. That's all. That's also why I actually even tried to be with you after we saw each other again. You kept telling me how hot I was. That's where I got the courage of facing you again." He chuckled, his chest vibrating under my cheek.
"Ugh, this is so embarrassing. Can we agree to not mention that ever again?" I groaned.
"Now, now don't be embarrassed. I find it cute." He kissed the top of my head.
"Lilah?" He asked into the darkness.
"Yes?" I answered.
"Could you move your face a little further up? You're laying on my new tattoo. It still stings a little." He said and I quickly obeyed.
"I didn't know you got a new tattoo. Can I see?" I asked, excited as always when he came home with a new one.
"Sure, it's on my chest, right where my heart is." He smiled and I carefully lifted his shirt.
"I didn't even know you had a fight in the past few-" I stopped talking as soon as I spotted his new tattoo. Elijah watched my reaction closely. Oh my god, my heart.
"Elijah." I said softly and touched the Letters gently. He closed his eyes shortly and then met mine again, smiling.
"I love you. And I want everyone to know that my heart is yours. Just like your heart is mine." He layed his hand over my heart.
"Wait, you don't expect me to-"
"No, God, no. Tattoos hurt like shit. Especially that area." He interrupted me, shaking his head. I lifted an eyebrow playfully.
"You don't think I'd stand a little pain?" He gulped at my tone.
"We've gone over this-"
"Yes, over the fact that you think I'm a wuss." I fake glared at him and he sighed.
"Do you want to get a tattoo of my name on your chest?" He asked me and I didn't even think twice before answering.
"No way. What if we-" I stopped, realizing what I was about to say.
"If we break up?" His voice was surprisingly calm and I looked back into his grey eyes.
"I wasn't thinking-" I said, but he cut me off by pushing me on the bed and rolling on top of me again. I closed my eyes when his teeth grazed my neck gently.
"If I ever let you go Lilah..." His voice was low and had a teasing undertone as his lips travelled lower.
"Shoot me." He finished, making me gasp.
"Elijah."
"I'm serious. If I were to fucking loose you again, I don't think I'd survive that." His voice held so many emotions. Love, adoration, vulnerability...
I was too busy thinking about how much I love him, to realize his sudden smirk.
"Or I could just pull a Toby on you." He grinned. I shook my head, laughing.
Ugh, I love this man.
