(( Marco's POV ))

Life resumed as per normal. This mini-adventure seemed like it never happened. The next day was a school day.

What better way to start my day than to wake up late?

"WAKE UP YOURE LATE!!" I recalled Star screaming into my ear.

I jumped out of bed, like any other random normal day.

I gobbled breakfast, the classic waffles, before running to school.

"Come on, let's hurry we are almost there!!" I grabbed Star's hand and pulled her along. Her laughter ringed in my ears.

We weren't that late after all, and people were just strolling in. I was putting my books in my locker when she arrived.

The girl that used to give me the butterflies. The girl I only dated to nod at and never spoke to her.

Jackie.

She stopped beside me, to my surprise, hopping off her skateboard.

"Hey, you are Marco right?"

I nodded, waiting for her to continue with whatever she wants to tell me.

"Well you see, you know the English project? Our team needs one more person, do you want to join  us? We just need one more," she smiled, showing off her braces.

"Okay, I will see first. But thanks!"  I replied politely.

She smiled again, before grabbing her skateboard and whooshing off.  As she went away, I saw her messy blonde curls.

I wondered how I had ever thought that her hair was pretty when it's just so messy.

hey guys :) is this too sudden? Like the sudden transition from the "problem" aka adventure to this? I'm thinking of continuing, should I? Or half I focus more on evil magical powers stuff?
