(( Marco's POV ))
"Finally, after 14 years blah blah blah," the Enchantress began her speech.
I've always questioned the long speech that evil villains always have to particularly no one.
Usually they would talk about their past and all that boring stuff.
Obviously, I wasn't listening. I was feeling really freaked out by the tight surveillance in this place.
But they didn't look like they saw me. If so, what's the point of all the security cameras?
"And today is the day I get the wand from defenceless Star Butterfly!"
I listened. She would soon find out the wand isn't with Star.
"Here it is! The royal wand of Mewni!" She exclaimed.
I was perplexed and confused. Isn't the wand with me???
In shock, I instinctively stuck my head out to take a better look, but I was too loud and everyone stared at me.
Then I saw, there was no wand on the Enchantress's hands.
"Yes boy, I tricked you. Now give me the wand in the pocket of your jacket. It's now or else."
I felt stupid. How cold I have fell for that?
Then, I felt my feet leave the ground. I was floating. And I involuntarily drifted to her.
I stared at her and she glared at me, her eyes like purple slits. They were scary, her deep eye bags drawing permanent wrinkles on her face.
I felt the wand slowly making its way out of my jacket. I was alarmed, hands fumbling on my jacket, cupping onto the wand and preventing it from flying out.
The wand stopped resisting me and it relented.
"I shall give you a choice. You either give me the wand and we part harmoniously or you end up in the same fate as her." She motioned her head over to Star's loveless looking body.
"I'd rather be with Star," I said through clenched teeth.
She shrugged, and that was when the wand completely flew out of my grip and I was thrust onto the same table as where Star was.
I shook her, half knowing I can't do anything for her. I felt like a failure. Now her wand she entrusted me to keep was gone.
What should I do?
I felt the dread feeling of guilt and remorse as I glared at the one who caused all this.
She was doing it slow, admiring the bright purple wand. Then it struck me.
Why didn't the wand change its appearance? Doesn't the wand change according to the needs and personality of the beholder?
Maybe there was still hope after all.
However, my eyelids started getting really heavy. My arms felt like concrete slabs and my head felt giddy and my vision was blurred.
I started closing my eyes.
No! I tried to resist.
But the force was too strong for me and I was overpowered.
I fell asleep.
