Chapter 7

Giotto looked at the departing brunet as emotions flooded his mind. Relief, sadness, happiness, and worry. G had nearly died before he woke up, but he's awake and in the same time period. He wanted to go see him and talk to him, but he remembered how he was when he first woke up. Reluctantly he'll wait till the redhead is more coherent. Which he hoped would be soon. He didn't know if he could wait for long.

The next day after his therapy, he found himself wheeling to G's private room. He was a bit nervous, the memory of how they parted came to mind.

The morning was cloudy promising rain. The first generation had fallen but it had given rise to a new generation. Each had chosen their destination. Now all that was left was to bid their farewells. Alaude just left going to his new home without so much of a goodbye to his friends. Daemon of course was nowhere to be seen which was fine, he wasn't welcomed. Asari and Knuckle said their goodbyes and told Giotto they would be waiting at the docks for him. Lampo gave a tearful goodbye before he went back to his family's manor. Giotto and G were the only two left to say goodbye to each other.

Giotto looked at his best friend sadly. The redhead was angry and sad among other things. G huffed before turning to walk away without a word.

"G! Wait please!" Giotto called after his friend. G stopped at the sound of Giotto's frantic voice.

"Goodbye Giotto," G said harshly not even looking back at the blond. Giotto, frozen by the harsh tone of voice, couldn't say anything as the redhead started walking away again. Only once G was out of sight did Giotto manage to say something, but his voice wasn't above a whisper.

Giotto closed his eyes biting his lip before he made his way to the docks. Asari and Knuckle saw their friend growing worried at the broken look in the once vibrant blue eyes. Neither chose to voice their concern not wanting the blond to snap. Instead, the three got on the boat that would take them to Japan.

Giotto shook his head backing away from the closed door to G's room. He couldn't face him, not yet anyway. He got to his room, closing the door behind him, with a bit too much force. The door slammed shut causing Giotto to flinch at the vibration it caused. He hadn't meant to do that. Wheeling over to the bed climbing on top of the sheets he hid his face in the pillows. He kept his back to the locked door not wanting to talk to anyone.

"Why didn't you let me explain?" Giotto whispered keeping back what tears he could.

G stared at the ceiling bored. The only one who had come in was a man named Ryohei. This Ryohei looked and acted similar to Knuckle. He had explained how long it had been since G last remembered. G sighed closing his eyes, four hundred years was a long time to be alive. Even if it wasn't really alive more like in a stasis, either way, it was still a long time. In all honesty, G didn't remember how he ended up in that tank the tenth generation fished him out of. One moment he was watching his kids, the next he woke up in this room with Ryohei and a brunet looking down at him relieved.

G also had been told Giotto was in the same situation but woke up sooner than he had. G at this point didn't even want to see Giotto. He was still upset with the blond even after all these years. G closed his eyes sighing. He never understood why Giotto gave into Daemon. Or why he gave Vongola to his cousin. Yet the blond did without giving his friends a reason. Following that Giotto had made the decision to leave Italy altogether. G understood why Asari and Knuckle left. Asari had family there that was waiting for him to return. Knuckle wanted to start over as a doctor throwing away everything he knew. As far as G knew Giotto didn't have a reason for leaving everything behind. If the blond did have a reason G wasn't told.

G was so angry by the time everyone needed to go separate ways. He hadn't been able to look Giotto in the eyes. He said goodbye and went on his own going back to a family he hadn't told anyone about. By the time he returned to the manor, his parents had put his two kids to bed and were waiting for him. He refused to tell them what had happened for several months. When he did they had tried to help him take his mind off what had happened. Yet that only lasted so long before he was taken. That had been a half a year after he and his friends parted ways. The last thing he remembered was watching his kids out in the garden before they went out of sight behind a hedge than getting whacked from behind.

G sighs softly relishing in the last memory of his kids. Since it had been the last time he got to see them. He missed them.

"Daddy come on! Let's go play in the garden!" His little girl, Kyra, exclaimed pulling on his hand.

"Yeah! Come on please!" He little boy, Juan, yelled pulling on his other hand. G chuckled at the two four-year-olds going along with them.

"Okay, okay, let's go out to the garden," G said gently. The two cheered and ran off towards the door which leads to the surrounding garden. They waited by the door for him, yet when he opened the door they took off again. G shook his head smiling watching his two kids. He walked over to the outside chair lighting a smoke.

The kids were chasing each other in a game of tag, yet one of them had to find the other. G didn't really take the time to understand the 'rules' since they had fun. When they went behind the hedges into the small maze of sorts, he didn't think anything of it. That is till he heard a cry, he got up putting out his smoke and went to see what the matter was. Turns out Kyra had gotten caught in a long branch. Juan was trying to help his sister when G got there. Freeing Kyra's skirt the two ran off to play again.

G chuckled and walked back to where he had been sitting before he got there someone hit him with something. The blow knocked him out.
