Chapter Eighteen: Date?
Kion
Hey, Una... wanna hang out this weekend?
Una stared wide-eyed at the text from Kion. 'What in the Pridelands?! Is he asking me out?!' Her mind screamed and then she remembers.
*FLASHBACK*
"Hey, maybe we can hang out together sometime!" Una exclaimed.
Kion smiled, having a pink tint on his cheeks as he ran a hand through his flaming hair. "Y-Yeah, sure. I'd l-love too, I mean if you're cool with it, I'm cool with it." Kion chuckled.
"Awesome! It's a date!" Una said. Kion chuckled blushing softly.
*FLASHBACK ENDS*
"Ugh!? I'm such a freaking idiot! I forgot!" She growled at herself ruffling her hair frantically.
Una heard her door open as she turned her twin brothers walked. Kai hold the door handle with Luka behind him gripping his brother's shirt.
"Big Sis, what are you doing?" Kai asked scowling a bit at her.
"Yeah. Why are you yelling?" Luka mumbled out.
"U-Uh, yeah, I'm fine. Don't worry. Homework is just frustrating me." Una said chuckling nervously.
"Okay?" Kai said raising an eyebrow closing her door leaving the room.
Sighing out a bit in relief, she texted Kion back:
Una
Sure! Yeah, sounds fun! 😊
The three dots bounced around in the text bubble from Kion as Una waited from him to respond.
Kion
Awesome! Maybe we should go out for lunch and watch a movie at my place.
Una
Yeah, sounds like a plan.
Can't wait! I'm super excited!
Kion
Same, me too. See you Saturday!
Una
K 😊
Una sighed out, slouching in her desk chair a bit. Her cheeks a bit flushed, feeling her heart pounding inside of her chest. Thoughts flying through her head at a rapid pace as she stared at her ceiling.
'Wait...WHAT IN THE HELL AM I GOING TO WEAR!?!?'

"If it's not a date then why do you care what you wear to it?" Jasiri asked from Una's bed to Una, who was currently swimming in her closet for something to wear on her so-called "date" with Kion.
Una invited Jasiri over to help her with an outfit. Una popped out of her swim pool of clothes to frown at her friend for her comment.
"Well, if you not going help then—." Jasiri cut Una off.
"No! It's not that, it's that what the point? Aren't you guys just hanging out? Can't you just wear something that you usual would?" Jasiri asked crossing her arms.
"Well, yeah, but—ugh! You're right!" Una groaned out. That's when Una's mom opened the door.
"Una, I made lunch. Are you and Jasiri hungry?" She asked.
"Yeah, lunch sounds great right now." Una called from her closet.
"Yeah, what Una said, thanks Mrs.Scott!" Jasiri said smiling at Sadiki.
Sadiki smiled back softly. "You're very welcome." She said closing the door.
"Ready to eat?" Una asked Jasiri.
"Heck yeah!" Jasiri said laughing wrapping an arm around Una's shoulders

Una's white converse hit the pavement as she run down the street in a flannel skirt and a thin, white turtleneck sweater.
(Saw this fit, liked the color of the skirt. I thought it was so Una idk what y'all think) a light blue butterfly charm on a gold chain hung around her neck. Her father gave her that necklace on 10th birthday, it's very loved by her.
Anyway, Una was few minutes late for to meeting Kion at the café he suggested. That's why right now, Una is booking it down the sidewalk a few blocks away from the café.
As she turned the corner down the sidewalk, (this is going to be cliche af but I refuse to change it bc idc) Una's eyes widened seeing Kion sitting at a table in a red sweater, a tan jacket over the sweater and blue jeans.
He was leaning over the table on her phone, he seemed so calm and mature. His flaming red hair still reminded the same which Una liked about him. I mean it was the first thing Una noticed about him.
Una snapped out of her daydream when she called out his name. "Kion!"
Kion perked up, his amber eyes shifting to look over his shoulder he smiled softly see the girl walking his way. "Hey, Una." He replied back as she finally made her way up to him.
Una laughed nervously and said. "Sorry, I'm late. I, uh, took a wrong turn and, um, I go turned around and then I took the long way, god in such an airhead."
Kion laughed at her rambling. "It's fine, Una. Don't worry about it." He said.
Una smiled at him as she took a seat across the table from him. The two teens chitchatted, enjoy the others company, eating lunch together during a late afternoon. As Una sat across from Kion, she would take quick glances at his face. The light freckles that dotted the boy's nose made her smile.
Kion noticed Una's silence and looked up, blushing as he saw the soft smile that was on the girl's face.
"D-Do I have something on my face?" He stuttered.
Una's eyes widened and blushed a light pink. "Uh, oh no no, of course not..." She trailed out.
Kion laughed. "Come on, let's head back to my place. Still watching a movie there, yeah?"
"Yeah, of course we're still watching a movie. Let's watch a horror movie!" Una chirped excitedly taking his hand.
Kion flinched a bit his face flushing red. She started walking front of him until he sped up to walk beside her. Their shoulders bumped each other's as they walked. Una fiddled with her skirt as her face heated up when hers and Kion's hands brushed together.
Kion looked off to the side, moving his hand away a bit and putting it in his pocket as his other hand twisted a few strands of his hair.

At Kion's House
Meeting Kion's parents was an interesting experience to say the least. Una finally had the pleasure of meeting the mayor himself, Simba. That made Una notice something about Simba and Kion. Their personalities and leadership skills are very similar it's uncanny but they don't look much like each other expect the red hair.
Kion's mother, Nala is kind and loving mother. Kiara has few similarities to her mom like facial features and hair color, but Kiara's pretty stubborn like her father or at least that what she heard from Nala.
Kion had to practically drag Una away from his parents before they said anything to embarrassing and up to his room.
"Come on, Kion. Your parents are funny." Un chuckled at him.
"Yeah, sure wait until the start telling you my embarrassing baby stories." Kion grumbled rolling his eyes at her.
"I bet their super cute stories." Una said smiling.
Kion smirked. "I doubt you would be saying if it was your mom." Kion said.
"Toúche." Una said and the two laughed.
Kion opened the door to his room and Una walked in with Kion following.
"Sorry about the mess I should've cleaned this morning." Kion said.
Una looked around his room, it was pretty neat for teenage boy's room with a few books and papers scatters on the floor.
"This. Messy? You should see my room." Una said plopping herself onto Kion's bed.
Kion laughed as he belly flopped onto his bed next to Una.
"So, horror or comedy?" Kion asked Una.
"Horror. I laugh more at horror then an actual comedy." Una joked.
"Okay, but then again why are comedy movies sometimes so shitty." Kion asked.
"Some writers aren't funny. It just makes you cringe when they try." Una giggled. Kion chuckled turning on the movie.

As the movie ended, Kion sighed softly as the credits rolled across the screen of his tv.
"That movie sucked, right Una?" Kion's breath hitched as his eyes widened as peered over his shoulder. He saw Una asleep using his back as pillow as she curled up on his bed.
'Crap, what do I do? Okay, Kion just wake her up.' Kion thought.
Kion reached over and shook Una's shoulder. Una stirred opening her eyes.
"Oh, sorry Kion. Did I fall asleep?" She yawned out rubbing the sleep from her eyes.
Kion scratched the back of his head and chuckled nervously. "It's fine. The movie was boring anyway."
"Hell yeah it was! Like it wasn't even scary. Are people even trying anymore." Una said as Kion snickered.
"Anyway, what time is it?" Una asked Kion.
"Almost six." Kion said looking at his phone. "Do you want me to walk you home it's late, you know. Kion asked.
Una smiled at the boy. "Sure, thank you, Kion."
Kion and Una left the his house and walked down the street towards Una's house. On the walk back to her house, Kion looked over to Una as she shivered as a cool wind blew over them. Kion blushed a bit as he unzipped the hoodie he had on and draped it over her shoulders.
They didn't say word to each other as they walk. Kion looked over to the side away from her and so did Una, clutching his hoodie around her.
"This is you, right?" Kion asked pointing out the medium sized white house.
"Yeah.." Una said walking passed and up the steps of her house Kion following her.
"Thanks again for walking me home, Kion. Today was funny." Una smiled softly at him.
Kion stuffed his hands in his pockets looking at the ground to hide his goofy grin and blushing face. "Yeah, anytime Una. I had fun too." Kion said.
"Well, anyway, I'll see you at school on Monday." Kion said smiling at her as he started to walk down the patio steps.
Una gasped. "Wait, Kion!" She yelled to him.
Kion stopped turning back to Una as she meant him half way. "Your hoodie-." She was cut off.
"Keep it," Kion smiled patting her head. "Have plenty more where that came from. See you later, Una."
Una flushed red. As she pushed Kion's hoodie to her body. She smiled. 'Oh Kion...'
