Chapter 7

Roman threw the phone at the opposite wall of his room where it disappeared. Infuriated, he lay down on his bed, stared at the ceiling and just sulked. He had watched the Sanders Sides videos as Janus had told him to and he couldn't find one time that he was as bad as any of the Dark Sides. True, he had been mean and teased Virgil and Logan a couple of times but he didn't knock people out with a Morningstar and he certainly didn't pretend to be his friends. And the whole thing the Dark Sides had said about the Light Sides not being equal was bullshit.

"I always listen to the others." Roman mumbled. "Always, always, always." He kept mumbling the word 'always' to try and convince himself that he was not the bad guy. But he couldn't not see the truth that was in front of him.

Sometimes, he was pretty mean and sometimes, he didn't let the others talk. But that didn't make him the bad guy. He was the prince and princes need to be heard! It doesn't matter whether other people thought differently, the prince was always right. Suddenly, Roman felt way more anger than he had ever felt before. Anger at Janus. This was his fault.

Grabbing his sword, Roman went off to find the snake-like Side.

"Janus!" Roman yelled, searching the Dark Side Mindscape. He heard a laugh from beside him and swung his sword around, only to find nothing there. "Janus!" Roman roared again. This time, the laugh came from another room. Roman stormed down the corridor and threw the door open.

"Roman?" Someone asked. It sounded like... Patton. "Roman?"

Roman gritted his teeth. "I know your games, Snake. I'm not falling for it this time."

"Oh really?" Janus asked, coming out of the shadows, still himself. "Because, this isn't my doing, Pride. I'm not pretending to be anyone."

"Roman?" The voice asked again, getting closer. "Roman, where are you?"

Roman turned on Janus and growled. "What are you doing, Snake?" He asked, his voice dangerously low. Janus' face showed visible confusion.

"I'm not doing anything, Pride. Like I said before -"

Janus was cut off by Roman growling again and pressing his sword to Janus' neck. He started pushing the sword into Janus' neck, drawing beads of blood from Janus.

"I'll ask you again, Snake." Roman growled, his eyes alive with anger. "What did you do?"

Janus tried to speak but started choking on his own blood, rendering him unable to talk.

"Roman, what are you doing?"
