Tu es en enfer

You're in hell

"How can I seduce someone?"

"What?! What in the world-" Chastity slipped her hands out of my hold and eyed me in sheer confusion. "Seduce? Who? Why? You're a Virtue, Saejin, what are you trying to do?"

Realizing the gravity of the situation I put myself in and exposing my intentions to her, I froze there with my eyes locked with hers and my brain malfunctioned for a minute or so.

"Saejin? You okay?"

I blinked my eyes when she waved a hand before them. "Huh? Ah- Yes! Yes... I just needed to... I just wanted to learn...? I never really dated someone when I was alive and- you know..."

Raising an eyebrow, she crossed her arms. "Okay, I'll bite. Who are you interested in?"

Jimin's face flashed before my eyes. I didn't know if I could tell her the truth but I could give her descriptions only.

"Well, he's blonde and he has striking but soft features-"

"Is it Greed?"

I gasped out loud mid sentence. My heart was clearly functioning and beating inside me. "No! I wouldn't!"

"I can see right through you, Sae," she chuckled, both easing me and frightening me as her eyes narrowed, turning sharper. "So it's the Sin of Greed, but why? We're in a terribly different place than him. Do you perhaps... like him?"

"Not really..." I tilted my lips, facing down. "I liked him as a fan. Kinda. But that's not the point."

"In any case, he's a Deadly Sin. Even if he was a good person before, now that he's a Sin, I doubt he'll stay the same. He seemed like a womanizer, too," she sighed, brushing my hair over my shoulder. "If you want to learn, you should try it on someone else. Anyone. Just not him. He's your enemy after all, and I heard a relationship between a Virtue and a Sin is forbidden."

Taking a deep breath, I heaved a long sigh. "I heard that, too, but believe me, I won't fall for him. I'm trying to..." I bit my lips, debating internally whether I should tell her or not.

"Trying to... what?" She eyed me worriedly. Seeing her like that, I couldn't help it. I felt that I needed as much help as I could get.

"I'm trying to use him," I finally confessed, closing my eyes.

"Anhye!"

The peach haired girl lifted her head, peeking at Chastity and I from under her cozy blanket, and made a dissatisfied grunting noise. "Ladies. It's 'me time' now and I'm trying to get some beauty sleep, please."

Chastity jumped on her, covering the groaning girl with her body and a huge grin. "Sorry for barging, we just needed some advice-"

"Ask the others, Jieun," Patience sighed, pulling the covers over herself. "They'll help you plenty."

"We already asked the others and they were useless. Some even got suddenly depressed because it was a sensitive topic to them."

Jieun snuggled into the poor girl, earning exasperated noises from her. I felt bad for bothering her but Chastity was way too into it. Maybe she liked annoying her.

"Okay okay!" Patience sat up, pushing the hazel haired girl off her. "If I just answer whatever you're so hung up about, can I please drop dead on my bed?"

"Yes," Chastity chimed and sat down beside her before turning to me. "Our sister Saejin has something she needs help with."

I pursed my lips, playing with my nails. "How do I ask a guy out?"

She huffed loudly. "Roses are red, violets are blue. Guess what, my bed has room for two."

I gasped in horror. "Oh my gosh, no!"

"Twinkle twinkle little star, we can do it in a car."

"Stop it!"

"Row row row your boat, gently down the stream. Merrily merrily merrily merrily, I can make you scream."

"That's going dangerously into a serial killer territory," Chastity giggled, enjoying the conversation more than I expected.

"Who is this 'guy' anyway?" Patience rubbed her eyes to dust off some sleepiness. "And why is it serious? Is it someone you used to like that's dead now?"

Unable to find any words to respond to that, I bit my lips, chewing on them.

"You could say that," Chastity answered for me, fixing her braid to occupy herself. "It's nothing serious so don't worry. She knows what she's doing."

Only, I didn't...

I most definitely did not know what I was doing.

When I ran into Jimin before I was prepared, I hoped for all the romance novels I read while I was human to back me up. At least my vast knowledge of romance would help me out, right?

Wrong.

Oh, how horribly wrong was that.

"Nice day outside, Jimin? I mean, Greed? I-I mean, Mr. Sin of- Shit," I whispered to myself in the end, wanting to run away as fast as I could, far away from the blonde man staring at me, confused. "Sorry- I'm sorry! I just, uh..."

Quickly grabbing a book from a shelf, I waved it at him with a small smile. "I'm here to read, you see?"

He breathed out a laugh and crossed his arms, cocking an eyebrow, amusement dancing in his chocolate eyes. "In a hotel?"

I gulped. "Yes...?"

His smile widened and eyes narrowed in glee. He was as charming as ever and his smile was still so heartwarming. "White hair and doll features. You're the Virtue of Charity, right? Are you trying to interrupt my work?"

"Goodness, no! I just wanted to say how handsome you actually are and um..." Clearing my throat, I positioned myself against the bookshelf to flirt but my shoulder bumped into it too strongly, shaking the furniture and the books, making them stumble and fall on top of us.

Squeaking out in shock, I shielded my head with my hands for the impact, but that never came in the end. Instead, a foreign warmth engulfed my body and loud thuds of the books falling sounded around me, sending jolts up my spine.

"Are you okay?"

Cautiously lowering my arms and slowly trailing my gaze up the suited up body before me, I held my breath. Jimin's golden bangs cascaded down his forehead and swept over mine. Our faces were dangerously close, warm breaths fanning each other's, making my heart leap and flip inside my chest. My face and whole body flared up. I screamed internally.

"I- I-I'm sorry," I stammered, stumbling backwards but ending up tripping over my feet.

Jimin's arms switched from their position over my head to behind my back and around my waist, keeping me in place. I wasn't this awkward around anyone aside from some of the nurses who treated me in hospital. Sure, I was not skilled socially but I was not this terrible.

"You're cute," he chuckled and my face burned up even further that I was positive my cheeks were bright red now.

Lord help me.
