"Okay, I am actually panicking. We don't know the extent of these nomu's and the last thing I want is for any of you to get hurt, gosh the guilt would actually kill me-" Your panicked rambling turned into mutters and mumbles as you walked back and forth your tail waving wildly. It was facts, it's been a few years since you had any contact with Hiro until a few weeks ago at that damn dance, and ever since he made his presence known everything just hit the fan. That thing that tortured you those two years found you, you got amnesia possibly hurt Hawks and Miruko's feelings, ended up getting feelings for Touya in some weird borderline brother/sister may be more way and now Kaen literally came barreling back into your life after you thought he ceased to exist bringing up old squashed memories and feelings. Your life has been nothing short of crazy, mental, and everything in between. You would never complain about having a boring life ever again.

"Y/N!!" You jumped two feet in the air letting out a screech. You panted heavily while holding your chest staring to see who yelled at you like that. You stared into bright yellow golden eyes your vision tunneled by a sea of red. You tried to look side to side but, Hawks had your vision totally blocked forcing you to only focus on him. "You began to hyperventilate and wear a hole in the floor." You curiously looked down cringing when you saw your talons gouged holes into the floor. You were going to have to apologize to the owner of this high-rise building you were in.

"I-I'm s-sorry." You didn't know what else to say. You went to rub your eyes only to notice now that you were crying. When did you start crying?

"I was going to let you talk thinking that was best, but when you started crying I knew I had to do something to help my baby bird." You looked shocked at him. Baby bird? Why did that nickname make you blush?

"What did you call me?" You just wanted to hear him say it again. You really liked the way the nickname rolled off his tongue, even more than a chickadee. He simply smiled softly at you letting a feather rub your face gently

"I called you my baby bird. You're like a youngling. You're so vulnerable and scared to depend on us. On me. I made a promise that I would help and protect you. In order to do that I need you to trust me okay? I swear on my life that he will never have you again. He got you once. He won't be lucky the second time around...Now all I need from you baby bird is to trust me. Trust that I will take care of you and when I can't be there trust Rumi. He's rough around the edges but he is a good person who cares for you just as much as I do and everyone else in this room." You couldn't really say anything to that. Everything he said struck a nerve in you that brought a new wave of tears this time happy ones. It's been a long time since someone sounded so sincere, so willing to put their life on the line for your sake. For your problems. For something that you brought here by accident and now you got people that you came to love on different levels involved. Every instinct told you to not do it. Don't depend on them because then you won't be able to forgive yourself if anything happens to them. This time though you ignored your first reaction and sagged in the embrace.

"I trust you guys..." You couldn't say much else but you know those four words held the weight of the world. The grin he gave you was definitely more than worth it.

"Here." He gave you one of his loose feathers. "Whenever you're scared, worried, or in danger no matter what someone will come. I promise. You're alone no more baby bird." You looked between the feather and him curling your fingers around the single feather before tucking it in your shirt. You liked the soft feeling of it against your skin and once you both deemed that you were calm enough that's when he unfurled his wings. He took one look at you nodding before the two of you went back to the table where the other two people were. It was you, Hawks, Endeavor, and Mirko. The rest couldn't make it and Touya had a patrol to do.

(For those who don't know this is going to be the Endeavor Vs Nomu fight scene from MHA Season 4 Episode 88. If you don't know what I'm talking about search 'Endeavor Vs Talking nomu' and then 'Endeavor Plus Ultra Prominence Burn')

"So as I was saying..." You tuned them out not wanting to listen word for word to what was being said. You started out at the horizon thanking the waitress when she brought you a drink before looking back. That's when you saw it. You saw something flying in the sky heading this way at a very fast pace. This was not good. Your keen eyesight was able to pick up that it was a giant flying purple nomu. Fuck

"Oh FUCK!" Your scream alerted the others who looked at you before staring outside at the thing coming full speed

"WATCH OUT!" You felt yourself be yanked and shielded by a muscular body. You looked up to see that Miruko was on top of you and Hawks was using his feathers to evacuate the civilians. To your horror Endeavor was facing off with that thing and it was huge. Oh my God. Oh my God. Fuck. Can he win? What if he dies? What if it pulls a trick? What if it has oil or water? What if-

"Y/N-chan" You broke out your musings at the voice in your ear. "Don't panic. He will be fine. He's not the number two hero for no reason." You took one look into those ruby eyes and your face warped into determination despite the tear streaks. The smirk was definitely worth it "There's my baby carrot." Fuck another cute nickname that warmed your insides. This was not the time to dwell on that though. You and Miruko had to get out of this building asap with the other civilians. You and Miruko got to the fifth floor and that's when his patience ran out. "Hawks has all the civilians." Before you can register what was going on he grabbed you jumping out the window down to the street outside.

"What about the" Before you can finish the sentence you looked up to see Hawks using his feathers to evacuate everyone out of the building. He truly was amazing. No wonder he was the number 4 hero. "Oh."

"Yeah come on baby carrot" You didn't know where you were going but he didn't let you go as he hopped his way closer to where Endeavor was. You looked to see that he and that thing were fighting and Hawks was doing his best to help even though there wasn't much for him to do. A freak that can fly, regenerate and talk fighting against a nuclear bomb spelled disaster. "Let's get closer." You didn't comment your eyes glued to the sky as the thing continued to punt Endeavor back farther and farther. You felt a scream in your throat that you held back. It was becoming increasingly harder and harder to hold back though. Every time Endeavor hit him he seemed to get stronger and stronger. Hell, Endeavor managed to slice off the thing's head only for him to get slammed into a building. Your scream almost came out at that but you held it in.

"Please don't die, please don't die, Rei needs you, your children need you, All Might needs you, I need you, the public needs you" You kept chanting this hoping your prayers will be answered. He just couldn't die like that. No way, no way, no way. You noticed that Miruko wasn't even saying anything but, that's when you saw he was trying to placate the vultures. Dammit, you needed to get closer. You jumped at a loud crash turning to see the nomu on top of a heavily bleeding Endeavor. That's when the screech came out. You didn't care who heard you, who's ears you hurt.

'strongest...strongest hero...who's the strongest' Dammit Enji was strong, Enji was so strong but, seeing him under the thing made your heart hurt. You didn't even realize what you were doing. Your feet and legs started running and honestly, you didn't know what the fuck was going on. The creature caught your attention and for some unknown reason followed you. 'Y/N' Oh great it knew your name. This just made things even more interesting than they already were. You ignored the horrifying screams of the public and Miruko who tried to get to you but was stopped by debris and police. You would make it up to him later but right now you needed to give Enji a chance to breathe and get the upper hand. You went into the decrepit building bounding up the stairs in leaps thanking your quirk for that. The thing was right outside the window sending its limb inside missing you every time. You just needed to make it to the roof, that's all. By some grace of God, you did make it.

"HAWKS!!!!!" Your throat went raw but you got his attention. You managed to duck last minute the limb missing you hitting the vents before Hawks sliced at its eyes. It roared pissed off but, you knew it was enough. You bought Enji time. You couldn't help but smile when you saw Enji engulfed in fire- blood and all shove his fist down its throat and send himself and the thing straight to the sky. You knew he did that on purpose so he doesn't destroy anything or hurt people. He can burn as hot and bright as possible. That's exactly what he did too. He did his most powerful move Prominence Burn Plus Ultra. You squinted at how bright it was and watched as he finally burned it to a crisp but, then you were scared when his fire suddenly went out and he was falling not having enough strength. You ran to the edge when he landed waiting impatiently for the air to clear. You needed to know-

"He's standing! Endeavor is standing!" When you saw that he was in fact standing with his right arm raised like All Might that's when the dam broke. You let out a sob ignoring Hawks jumping straight down to grab him. You had to grab him. In three seconds you were in front of you and with all your strength you held him up not liking the smell of burnt flesh and blood.

"You did amazing Enji. You are so great. I am sorry that it hurt you. I'm sorry that Hiro is so evil. I'm so sorry. But you're here. You're here. You're going to be okay." You were babbling but it was okay. You heard his heart beating, felt his veins pumping and his ragged breath huffing in your ear was more than enough for you to know he's alive
